How far along are you?

How are you feeling this week?

How are you feeling this week? Horrible. The all day nausea has turned into vomiting. My diclecton isn't working and I'm over it. 😭

GTKY: If you had an entire day free to do whatever you want, how would you spend it? I would sew. I have projects piling up and no energy to sew right now.

  • I don't know if it's pregnancy related, but I've been feeling a little muscle twitch in my thigh, just above my knee. Anybody else?
  • @mimser that was happening to me last night! I thought it was super weird.

How far along are you? 7 weeks

How are you feeling this week?  Ok. Cold, when I’m normally the warmer one. DH is complaining he can’t believe I’m making him live in a stuffy house. I moved the thermostat to 72 instead of 70. Not sleeping very good and tired during the day.

GTKY: If you had an entire day free to do whatever you want, how would you spend it? Feel free to dream big and pretend like Covid doesn’t exist!  If I don’t have to include travel time I’d go to the beach with my family and just enjoy the beach and food.

  • @mimser same with the muscle twitches, also I’ve already started getting random muscle cramps in my feet and legs. Sigh... it’s going to be a long one.

  • @yellingbanana @babyyodaonboard what causes it? I keep thinking I must be missing a vitamin or mineral or something?

How are you feeling this week? Terrible. I feel so much worse this pregnancy compared to my other ones. More tired, more nauseous, more sensitive to smells, more everything. I wonder if it’s because I normally run around everywhere with the kids, but now it’s only once every couple of days.

GTKY: If you had an entire day free to do whatever you want, how would you spend it? Feel free to dream big and pretend like Covid doesn’t exist!
Oh man, I could really use a spa day. It’s not something that I normally do, I’m talking once every few years. But it sounds really nice right now. Also, eat at a restaurant without being paranoid. We ate at a restaurant last night for the first time since February (in Seattle area, Covid was scary by the first week of March). I was so nervous, but everyone working was wearing a mask, and the tables were definitely socially distanced. I had a virgin Bloody Mary, yum!

  • @mimser no idea! As long as they don't turn into leg cramps I'll be ok... I know the cramping can be helped by using a magnesium oil so perhaps it's the same thing? 🤷🏻‍♀️
  • How far along are you? 9+2

How are you feeling this week? Bleh. I'm starting to have stretches where I don't feel terrible which is nice (but I'm still taking zofran once a day and I'm eating but still can't think of food until the moment I need to eat it). I was actually able to get off the couch and run some errands this weekend and help start our big Halloween yard decorations.

GTKY: If you had an entire day free to do whatever you want, how would you spend it? Feel free to dream big and pretend like Covid doesn’t exist! MASSAGE! I usually get massages once per quarter but haven't had one since December. I didn't have a chance to get one before March and then we all know what happened then. Our spa has been open for a while now but I just don't feel comfortable with that. But if Covid didn't exist I'd probably get a 90 minute massage followed by lunch somewhere downtown and then get my hair cut which I normally do once a year but haven't since early 2018 and then I'd probably grab something from my favorite bakery (which sadly had to close permanently due to Covid so that's never going to be an option again which is a major bummer).
  • @babyyodaonboard what sewing projects do you have planned?

How far along are you? 7w 5d

How are you feeling this week? Blah. On top of the persistent nausea and nipples that make satin feel like razor blades, now I’m sick, too. And of course it’s not just enough to not feel well, but my anxiety is through the roof because I get so nervous about whatever I have affecting the baby. Wah.

GTKY: If you had an entire day free to do whatever you want, how would you spend it? Feel free to dream big and pretend like Covid doesn’t exist! I have two or three crochet blankets I need to work on and a purse I’m making for my sister, but I’d probably just nap and play The Sims instead because I’m a procrastinator.
  • @audmomout I look at being sick while pregnant as not really a bad thing because they are getting your antibodies which make them more resilient when they get here!

That’s a good way to think about it!
  • @mimser I get that weird stomach cramp when I cough too, is that what the start of RLP feels like? The muscle twitches could still be a magnesium or other electrolyte deficiency. Try eating a banana, or drink some gatorade, see if that helps.
@audmomout I've also been sick this week, and am booked for a covid test tomorrow so I'll be allowed to go for my ultrasound on Tuesday. Being sick during pregnancy suuucks, I'm so paranoid.

How are you feeling this week? Well I was feeling great until last night when I *TW* had a bit of bleeding. It was more than spotting, and it was bright red instead of the brown spotting I'd been having on and off. We don't have a spotting support thread so I hope this is ok that I'm putting this here. It's gone this morning, but then so are almost all of my symptoms so obviously I was freaking out. Spoke to my RE, he's sending me for a repeat HCG and full CBC to make sure everything still looks ok, and he basically said not to worry unless I'm spotting AND cramping, and that I only need to go to the ER if I'm filling a pad every hour for more than 3 hours. *end TW*
The symptoms coming and going is such a mindf*ck, I've had sore breasts for the last 4 weeks straight and now, nothing. No heartburn, no hot flashes, my bloating has gone down a little, even my wedding rings fit again for the first time in a while. I know this is supposed to be normal but ahhhh!

GTKY: If you had an entire day free to do whatever you want, how would you spend it? Feel free to dream big and pretend like Covid doesn’t exist! Sleep in, have brunch, play a round of golf with my honey, go for a swim, get a massage, dinner on a patio.... oh wait, that's basically describing my honeymoon in Hawaii. So yeah, that.

  • @texas_t unfortunately no, since I'm sick nobody will let me in until we get a negative covid test. Everything is by appointment-only here so my appt for my test isn't until tomorrow afternoon, and who knows how long results will take so earliest is probably this weekend. FML. Such a pain. I'm trying not to stress but uggghhh. My last beta on Thursday wasn't stellar, so not enough to put my mind at ease.

  • @kiki047 I don't know if this will make you feel better, but if you ever watch I didn't know I was pregnant they always say they had bleeding during their pregnancy and everything was ok.  I hope you can get a rapid test so you can get in soon for your blood work. • @kiki047 I hope you can have reassurance soon. FWIW, I've been spotting pretty much since 3 weeks pregnant and they couldn't see any bleeding on the ultrasound, so most likely it's my cervix being sensitive for no other reason than pregnancy itself. I hope it's some mild reason like that for you too!
  • Thanks @texas_t @spartan4life @asf0613 @mimser I guess this is the new normal. Pre-covid nobody would bat an eye at a pregnant lady having a cold. But during a global pandemic? I'm a walking biohazard lol. I'm trying to tell myself it was just a fluke, I'm still on progesterone suppositories so my cervix is already irritated. My PIO shot yesterday bled a lot too (first one in 30+ that was a bleeder!) so I've officially been taken off the baby aspirin and now we wait!

  • @kiki047 well it's definitely not a fun new normal for you! hope you get reassurance asap!
  • Is anyone else on Zofran? I started taking it yesterday and I have still thrown up four times today and counting. Anyone else experience this? I was hoping it would help more than it has.
  • @alexandraseattle is it the odt zofran? I found that one worked a million times better than the one I had to swallow. One time the script wasn’t written for odt and I was so upset. But if it’s not written that way you can still request it. The odt dissolves under the tongue.

  • @alexandraseattle I take odt zofran and it definitely doesn’t eliminate my nausea but most days it makes it bearable. Is it helping at all or is your sickness level the same?
  • @mkc3888 it is the dissolve on the tongue kind!

@gusgus14 It helped me be able to sit up for small stretches of the day but I was still throwing up multiple times a day. I talked to the nurse and she said I can add back in Unisom and B6 in addition to the Zofran. The combo of the three is making more of a difference so far today but I’m struggling to keep my eyes open. Toddler is getting a LOT of screen time today.

This is how it is for me. I've still thrown up while on Zofran but most days it's bearable and I can eat a bit. Other days are still bad, but I'd hate to see what they would be like without the medicine.

@alexandraseattle Hopefully you have more good days ahead. My little has been getting way more screen time the past few weeks as well. You do what you gotta do.
  • @audmomout I sew all of my daughter's clothes and want to start Sewing some capsules for the new baby! It's so fun

  • anyone's sinuses out of control?  i have my allergies mostly under control (i am on meds) but today my nose is a faucet ugh
  • Does anyone sneeze with they are nauseous? Then get a bit of relief for a few minutes after sneezing? It’s the weirdest thing, my nausea is horrible pretty much all day - at times when it gets intense, I’ll suddenly sneeze violently lol, then I feel better for a few minutes afterwards? Just a totally random, weird thing I’m fascinated by ha.
  • @brynn_mamaof4 So the only reason I can think why that would be the case is that food or bile is sitting at the top of your stomach or even up into your esophagus and when you sneeze, everything contracts and maybe pushes it back down? Lol, that's my non medical thoughts on the matter, ha!

That’s a smart guess! I did read they think it has something to do with reflux/gastric things. @texas_t
