Hi y'all! Im so excited to see this waiting room open!

I was an active participant in my last BMB and really enjoyed it.  EDD based on ovulation date is 6/1 pretty confident in that from bbt tracking.   H&H 9 months!! Happy dances all around!

@inthewoods23 and @sgrn18 do you think we post a few questions (not a full intro as we will have on the BMB) to help people get to know each other here in the waiting room? Each other currently being the three of us? Like:

Welcome to the June 2021 Waiting Room!

    Due date?

    Any symptoms?

    High risk / concerns?

Edit: I will add, I am type A and like structure, so I thought this could be a fun way to get the waiting room conversations going.

@DoubleUp8 sounds like you'll be the one taking up the sticky threads when the BMB opens :D I'm cool with a little structure for the time being.

BMBs typically open up at the end or very beginning of the month right?

@inthewoods23 Waiting is hard! Planning helps me feel I have control over something that is mostly beyond my control. I think they open on the last day of the month or the first day.

I would never presume to do the sticky posts. Though while in limbo, I have been lurking on May 2021 to check it out. There are waaaaay more dailys than my BMB had in 2014. It's overwhelming! They are all great ideas, but 32 new threads a week wow! I do like their weeks idea instead of ticker change, especially since the Bump doesn't do their own tickers anymore. I remember some ticker change days being really light and lonely and others being very busy.

@sgrn18 I feel like all I hear about the Bump apps is bad stuff. I have the app, but I usually do the community posting in the browser on my phone rather than in the app.

    How is this for questions:

    Due date?

    Any symptoms?

    High risk / concerns?

    First Appointment?

Hi! I got my first BFP this morning and I am FREAKING OUT! DH and I have been trying on and off for 5 years and I never thought this would happen for us. No medical intervention but we had fertility testing a couple of years ago (blood/semen testing) and numbers were all normal. We started trying again in earnest this month and it seems to have been successful. I have lost 80 pounds in the last 2 and a half years so I think that helped make my uterus more baby friendly!

    Due date? 6/7

Any symptoms? Slightly sore boobs, odd BMs (constipated, then very not constipated), heartburn (never had that before... it sucks!)

High risk / concerns? Nothing that I'm aware of at this point

Hi all, and congratulations to everyone!! I have 3 little boys and I was especially active on the Bump BMB with my first baby (November 2011). My hubby and I have been NTNP for 3+ years ever since my last baby was born, so I honestly didn’t think this would happen! I also just turned 41 last month, so another reason why I thought it wouldn’t happen!

Due date: 6/8 based on O day

symptoms? Not much other than some pinkish spotting a few days ago and when AF didn’t come, I started to suspect. This morning I felt like I had a rapid heart rate which I got with my other pregnancies, so I decided to go ahead and test. BFP showed up really quick! I was shaking and shocked. Other than that I just have light PMS type cramps.

High risk/concerns - AMA, so automatically worried about a miscarriage because I had two between my first two kids

first appt - scheduled for 10/26!

Hello everyone, congratulations to all of you.  I am a returning bumper. My kids are 9 &7 and I just turned 40 a few weeks ago so I really didn't expect to be joining you.  Also I had an iud  for six years that fell out in aug (tmi I know). However I am very happy to be here.    The only symptom I have is tender brests. High risk concerns  are GD which I had with my son 7 years ago.   My edd should be 6/2 based on lmp, to to find a Dr
    Nice to meet you all.

Hi all!  I’m beyond excited to be joining you all.  We’ve been TTC baby #2 for about two years now and I just finally got my positive.

    Due date? 6/1

Any symptoms? Tender nips, lower backache, extreme fatigue, increased sex drive (like all I care about is sex and sleep hahaha)

High risk / concerns? I had elevated blood pressure in my first pregnancy so I’m hoping to keep that under control this time around

@thebabyA with my first, I don't think my practice saw me until 12 weeks. They did an ultrasound and an appointment back to back. I'm in a different city now, so I'm with a new practice that sees you at 8-10 weeks. Not sure if they do an ultrasound at 8 weeks, but if I recall that's too early to hear the heart beat on doppler, so not sure what you do at an 8 week appointment if there's no ultrasound.

**lurker** @thebabyA unless your practice can get you in within 2 weeks for a NT scan ultrasound from your 12 week intake, I'd push back on that. Maybe call and ask if you'll get scheduled before 14 weeks for your NT scan/ultrasound - which is not the same as an ultrasound performed in an OB's office.

edit to add - a lot of OB offices have internal U/S machines and you can see things pretty early on - earlier than 8 weeks for sure.
