@bumblebee0210 hi and welcome to TB. Im so sorry for your loss ❤ I hope you heal well from your D&C physically, mentally and emotionally. I just went through a D&E two months ago so I feel ya on the recovering part. Takes awhile. I hope your stay here is short and sweet. Jump into the dailies when your ready.

How many months have you been TTC?: I came off BC in June or July, really started trying this month after we got the wedding and moving all done.

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: FF, CM tracking, HIO

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have one DD who is turning 7. MH and I got married last month and moved states, though it wasn’t far... just 25 min or so from our previous home. I have 2 dogs and a cat. I’m still in grad school, set to graduate in May.

AGES: 33 / 33 

TTC: 3 months...

WAYDTGKU: We started trying (or more... stopped trying NOT) to conceive three months ago. I’ve been taking prenatals for about 5 months now/in advance and am using the Ava wristband to chart and track, along with the Clear Blue digital monitor (have only done one cycle on that so far). I started using Ava on and off before we starting TTC to help build up some data, as previously I’d be tracking on Clue for years. I joke that we’re trying, but not trying “very hard” since we typically have sex 2-3 times during the fertile days, timed to coordinate with peak fertility and ovulation according to the methods above. When I spoke to my friends who are (literally) all pregnant or have just delivered, they said they had sex 1-2 times daily for the entire fertile period... that seems like work to me! But part of me does wonder if we’re not doing enough. This month I was diagnosed with an Endometrioma - I’m seeing a specialist on Friday to learn more and rule out/in other possibilities i.e. Endometriosis which unfortunately seem likely. We’ve also started researching IVF as a backup and to become familiar with the process; depending on the doctors advice this week, we may begin pursuing this ASAP as an option rather than continue to try.

@emmylou78 Welcome and congratulations on your wedding! I’m sure this year was more stressful than most for planning a wedding so I hope it is smooth sailing for you with TTC. 

@nicolecdg Welcome! Definitely do not compare yourselves to your friends. 1-2 times a day both sounds exhausting, and is unlikely to increase chances beyond what you are doing, and may even decrease the chances. If you are interested, the book “Taking Charge of Your Fertility” has a lot of good information about that very topic.

How many months have you been TTC?: we haven’t started yet but we will no later than November so I thought I would go ahead and join y’all. 

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: nothing right now but I usually track my cycles with Tempdrop.

Me and my husband met in college. We have 5 kids ranging from 18 years to 10 months old. We also have a pet cat (Neko) and are hoping to expand our family with a puppy at some point. I love to craft and sew.

@marebear15 My husband already asked when I want to start. I’m usually the one telling him it’s go time. Before we start I want to focusing on strengthening my pelvic floor and I’m doing my PT exercises from my last pregnancy. I want to avoid all hip pain if I can.

Hi new and old friends! Super excited to be back here. I was here 2 years ago when TTC my first, and I made friends with some of the loveliest women you'll ever meet on the internet! I have an almost 1 year old daughter, and I'm totally in denial that her birthday is so soon. In non-covid times, I enjoy traveling the world. But lately my hobbies include eating, sleeping, and binging Netflix. 😁

@nicolecdg I am sorry that you're having some medical issues that possibly mean you'll have to do IVF. Never fear, we have an excellent IF support thread here so if that does happen, we will take care of you. Also, I totally agree with @fitzfizz 1-2 times a day?! I mean, maybe it's the 37 yr old in me talking, but no thank you. Also, if there's even a little bit of a male factor issue, doctors recommend every other day. Success rates between ED and EOD go down by a small fraction... ~2-3%.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.):  I have no hobbies these days, pretty much just watching Golden Girls and going to bed at 9pm.  I work a pretty demanding senior level management position at a non-profit organization (which I am currently at my desk and procrastinating some annoying tasks due to it is Friday) and I have a 2-year old.
