Had first US today. Wow, what information overload. According to LMM I am 8w+2d but was measuring 7w+5d. She kept my EDD at 5/12 though because of a 5 day margin of error. She didn’t say anything but now that I’m looking at my US compared to others- I’m wondering why (and forgive me I don’t know any correct terms 😂) the black sack around the baby is barely anything when everyone else’s seems so defined and larger. Abs what that second nose is on the left. Oh great, now I’ve freaked myself out and will have to message the Ob Coordinator I was assigned. Haha
We went for our first ultrasound on Friday. By my calculations I was 6w1d. All we saw was an empty gestational sac. I go back on October 15th for another ultrasound. The next couple weeks are going to be so hard.
I have PCOS though, and my periods are all over the place. So it's possible I ovulated later than I thought. I'm trying really hard to be positive and hold out hope.
I have been debating on whether or not I wanted to post this, but there's so many of us in this group. I may not be the only one going through this. If you're experiencing loss or uncertainty, know you're not alone. My first miscarriage was 2009, I was 19 years old, didn't even know I was pregnant. I was silent about it for so long, it took me 6 months to tell my best friend and almost 2 years before I told my boyfriend/fiance (now husband). If you need someone to talk to, please reach out. I'm always here to lend an ear to anyone who needs it. ♥️♥️

@mrsomelette I'm so sorry for the uncertainty. I had a blighted ovum last year. I remember doing some research and I think it's important to not make a final diagnosis until 9 weeks or until the gestational sac was a certain diameter. I also asked the sonographer the second time to tell me if my uterus was retroverted as this can make it harder to visualize things. I hope it all turns out good for you, don't lose hope just yet. In my case I was pretty sure when I had ovulated and knew when we got intimate and it would have been very unlikely but not impossible.
@mrsomelette - so sorry to hear about the uncertainty you're going through. I have been there. Will be thinking about you and hoping for a positive outcome ♡ Glad that you reached out to the board and ditto goes to you too if you want to talk.
Loving all the US photos!! Having some serious FOMO over here because ours isn't until Tuesday.
Questions for STMs - have you opted to pay for the 3D ultrasounds to either get a better or just extra look at the baby? The 3D aspect doesn't specifically appeal to me but since MH isn't allowed to come to our regular ultrasounds there's a boutique place near us will let us both go in and we get a video and a print-out of the screen. I think I answered my own question in that I know it's worth the $$ just so MH will get to be there to experience it himself, but curious what others' experiences have been. ETA: I see this question has already been asked/answered in the Questions thread so feel free to disregard unless you have anything else to add! Sry!

@mrsomelette thinking about you, fingers crossed that the dates are just off! I’m in that PCOS boat and with each child my due dates were changed because my cycle was just so irregular. Hope it’s the same for you and you get your little baby omelette ❤️
@kiki047 we ended up paying for 3d ultrasounds for each child. We always went with a basic package, really you just want the recording of ultrasound and the experience itself. So don’t feel like you need to spend a fortune! But yes, it was worth it. It really is amazing. With my first, I could see her opening and closing her mouth, and her ankles were crossed. There were great parts about each one. With my 3rd, when he heard DD1 talking, he would calm down and stay still, and when he heard DD2 talking- he started jumping all over the place! He was also holding the umbilical cord and snuggling it.
Yesterday’s gummy bear. Everything looks great. Placenta attached in front of baby/uterus instead of behind though so that kinda stinks, I won’t feel it move likely when everyone else does! But just breathing a little easier today 💕
FINALLY!! Thanks to irregular periods due to PCOS, my due date got changed to May 1st because little peanut was measuring ahead by 4 days. So I guess I am 11+2. Baby is due on my birthday! 🎂 I am feeling SO relieved that everything is great, and that there is only one! Lol
@yellingbanana Do you want to share your birthday? My daughter was due two days before mine and I was bound and determined NOT to share. Ended up being born one day before my birthday.
