Still nauseous, although the Unisom/B6 is taking the edge off a bit. I have been able to eat a somewhat normal sized lunch the past couple days which has been nice. I’m still losing weight from not eating a whole lot, but I think the bloat might be starting to set in. Other than that, sore boobs when my children elbow them, still sneezing a lot, and some random cravings.
ETA another symptom that’s popped up this morning: apparently now is when my patience starts running very thin 😬 oops
It’s cooled down here (in NC) but is still in the 80s most days! So it doesn’t quite feel like fall yet but at least it’s cooling down a bit. My favorite things about fall are the cool weather, the leaves changing, and thanksgiving. Yum.
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Still exhausted, but most of the nausea has passed! yay!! (knock on wood) DH and I went to his parents' house in CT for Labor Day weekend and I was actually able to enjoy the afternoons out by the pool, do some exercise in the pool, and eat full on meals! It was so nice having an appetite back!
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? Not really. It was still hot all weekend, but at night it gets chilly. Favorite fall thing is probably pumpkin pie hahah. My mom makes the best pumpkin pie.
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Nausea, nausea, nausea... aversions, weird cravings, sore breasts, bloating, gas, fatigue. I had a little bit of spotting this morning that panicked me but it went away so I'm trying to remind myself that it just happens sometimes and everything is probably okay!!
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? Our leaves are changing early due to drought (MA), but the temps are still in the upper 70s. It's getting cooler at night so that's nice! I love everything about fall. If I have to pick one thing, I will pick the changing leaves. There's nothing like a New England fall! This is my first one in 7 years (we moved to CO in 2014 and moved back to MA this year), and I'm going to enjoy the crap out of it.

lol! I hear you on the patience, my toddler is waking up earlier and earlier and it is SO tough..
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Tired.. hits me hard randomly during the day. And insomnia, which is SO frustrating..
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? HECK NO! I'm in Northern CA so basically the state is on fire, and there's an extreme heat warning. It was 111 over the weekend (unheard of). I truly can't wait until fall-- never been so passionate about wanting to wear jeans and drink a latte.
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? I'm SO cold! I don't remember being cold with DD. My exhaustion feels like it's on a whole other level this week. I just need more naps. Other than that, my nausea and a lot of my aversions have tapered off and cravings are setting in. This baby has good taste... all i want is lobster dishes. I have had some really horrible and intense gas pains associated with my poor digestion and constipation. I think that is the most frustrating thing right now, hoping that turns around in the next couple weeks as well.
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? Today it does. It's 50 degrees and rainy. I think it's supposed to be in the 60s/low 70s for the next couple of weeks so we are definitely getting there! I love everything about fall, it's my favorite. I love chili and football, the smells, the leaves, pumpkins and decor. We just went and got our mums yesterday, so this weekend i am going to plant and put up all the fall decor. I'm so excited!
What symptoms are you experiencing this week?: I was feeling pretty good this weekend when my in laws were in town but as soon as they left I was exhausted again and spent the whole day yesterday on the couch. So fatigue but with some fun insomnia (I SO feel you @eahayes ). I've also been getting nausea in the middle of the night as opposed to during the day which is weird. Nausea hasn't been as bad this week as it was last week.
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall?: It's definitely been cooler in the mornings here in New Hampshire (yay for New England friends!) and I agree, there's nothing like a New England fall. I love apple picking and pumpkin carving in the fall (true basic biatch over here lol)
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Still exhausted and nauseous. Intestinal issues like bloating, constipation, and tummy pain from gas are killing me and causing insomnia. Trying to work on eating the right things to avoid these issues.
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? We are deep into fire season so everything is smokey, you can't see any blue in the sky. All day yesterday we couldn't go outside or open our windows because of the air quality. So, no, not really haha.
I love everything about fall. Autumn gives me this special motivation to get my shit together/organize (probably virgo season) which is always appreciated. My daughter and I are both Scorpios too
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? So. Much. Nausea. I can legitimately barely function. Call with the NP today and OB visit tomorrow so I might need to see if I should try something stronger than the B6+Unisom. Last pregnancy the B6 made a huge difference - I could tell when it as wearing off - and this time I literally feel no different with or without it. The only saving grace is that I don't *actually* ever throw up but I feel like it almost constantly sometimes (which is also new from prior pregnancies). Normal pregnancy insomnia and digestion issues plus rhinitis are also in full force. DH was like "sorry for not asking how you're feeling, I can just tell you feel horrible." He's been great about picking up my slack, letting me nap when possible, cooking (which I can't even eat anyways - and can barely handle the smell of), doing daycare pickup and drop off, etc. DD2 starts at the nanny share on Monday which will be huge - so both girls will be out of the apartment while we work in the mornings.
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? It was over 100 this weekend pretty much every day. 90 something today. Mid-high 80s the rest of the week. Fall won't come until October but I love fall. @riff323 Fall in the northeast is the best! We're hopefully moving by mid-November but will miss most of the fall loveliness.
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Still exhausted all the time. I've been napping when I can, but it's hard when the kids are home on the weekends. Also feeling pretty nauseous. I've been trying to stay on top of it by eating, but nothing really sounds good. It seems that if I can get in a workout and try to stay active, I actually feel better. But, I don't have a huge desire or energy to do that.
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? I'm in Texas, so still doesn't feel like fall. We are getting a slight cool front this week, but I know it will get hot again. I love everything about fall. The decorations, food, holidays.... it's just the best because there is also the anticipation of Christmas! These are my favorite four months of the year.
I amend the above. I just threw up. Anyone taking Reglan? The NP who did my intake sent in a prescription for it. I took B6 last time and added unisom this time but it literally makes no difference. I was expecting them to suggest Diclegis (which is just B6+Unisom combined) or Zofran.
I’m sorry for those of you experiencing fires right now! I’ve seen some truly scary pictures on fb this past weekend. I’m thinking of all of you! ❤️
@eahayes ugh yes, it is hard when they wake hp early! I was very short with the 3.5 year old today and had a flashback to how frustrated I used to get with DD1 when I was pregnant with DD2. Not my finest moments! 😕
@pelorunningmama, the last 4 months of the year are my favorite too! Christmas is my absolute favorite. I think that’s part of why I look forward to thanksgiving, so I can get Christmasy sans judgment. 😂
@kvh22 I’m sorry you got sick 😞 I hope the medicine helps!
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Exhaustion, nausea, and huge food aversions
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? Haha, not for a while. I'm in S FL. I love the break from the heat that eventually comes, and all the "fall" foods.
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? so so nauseous. terrible dysgeusia (awful taste in my mouth) literally all day long. Brushing my teeth and chewing gum only helps for about 5 minutes. Extremely irritable. Terrible food aversions and intense cravings.
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? Today it does! I’m in Michigan and today it was only about 60 degrees and rainy so fall seems to be officially here. Fall is my absolute favorite, so I’m looking forward to all the things - Halloween decorations, candy corn and candy pumpkins, PSLs, apple cider, hoodies, flannels, literally everything.
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Still nauseous, exhausted all the freaking time, gassy af, sore boobs, and still gaining weight (ugggghhhhhhh!), Now I'm getting super weird cravings (like salsa con queso with BBQ crispers and mac 'n' cheese with pickles mixed in and sweet and spicy mustard on top... Wtf?!?). All of these are SO different from when I was pregnant with my son.
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? It definitely is cooling off here! My favourite thing is getting to dress cozy and wear sweaters!
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Exhaustion for sure. Managed a nap every day since Friday but still exhausted when I wake up. Got my first migraine since getting pregnant yesterday. Woke up with it and it just got worse and worse all day. Today it was just a headache so hoping it is gone tomorrow. Pregnancy safe migraine meds can just f off. I had to get an IV twice during my last pregnancy for migraines that wouldn't go away. And also so much rage and irritability. I feel bad because my almost 4 year old and husband can really drive me crazy lately. Patience is not coming easy. Isn't pregnancy just so beautiful (full sarcasm here this week)?!
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? Um, our highs are 89 this week and not 90... We only have summer and not quite summer here.
@MandersX ugh I’m so sorry about the migraines. I just had a headache today and that was enough to make me want to go crawl under a rock. The worst! Hope it somehow clears up ASAP.
@peppylilfoxy lol I love your cravings list! I've never had weird cravings. I ordered moose tracks ice cream and french onion dip in my whole foods delivery b/c I've wanted those the past few nights. There's such a small list of things that I can actually stomach I have to cater to my body's requests but those are also things that I enjoy not pregnant.
Question for STMs+: Anyone see a trend in difference in sex and intensity of morning sickness? I believe there's actually some science behind more morning sickness with girls and I've had two girls already and never felt like this so I'm just trying to convince myself there's some reason for it (so that it's not all in vain/a fluke).
I just finished my last call so I'm off to be a blog on the couch for the evening. I've had moms in other BMBs apologize for not participating much on TB b/c of morning sickness and I never got it until now. I'll try to keep up as much as possible but if ppl want to start some of the threads I usually do (haven't done the STM+ check in yet), feel free! Don't wait around for me
Thanks @pelorunningmama Yesterday all I could manage was bed and ice packs. Today I was covering a Zoom mediation for a coworker so had no chance but to work and was at least functional. Hopefully tomorrow it will be all gone. Till next time at least.
@kvh22 I totally think there’s something to that. I firmly believe this baby is a girl because of how sick I feel (very similar to DD). With DS, I never ever felt this horrible. Can’t wait to find out!
@kvh22 I know this probably isn’t super helpful since I’m also a mom of two girls, but I also feel way worse this time around. I felt a little worse with DD2 than I did with 1. I’ve been wondering if it’s a matter of aging (not that we’re old, just older than we were with our first!) and pregnancy being harder on you as you get older. I’ve always heard the same, that MS (all day sickness, let’s be real here) is worse with girls. I’m like is this one extra girly or something? 😂😭
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Misery. Nausea was better for a day but then it got worse. Boobs hurt, exhaustion, no food sounds good, no patience, and @juliebird6 the awful taste too (if I use mouthwash every time I brush it helps, and carbs make it worse than other foods).
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? Yesterday it was 109. Looks like there are several of us in California just burning away. I miss blue skies and going outside. Fall is never really that exciting here but I miss east coast falls. I love all of the holidays and lead up to Christmas, and decorating for everything.
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Queasy/nauseous, boobs are a little sore every once and a while, and tired.
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? I’m more of a spring/summer fan. I love the long hot Pacific Northwest days (when it’s not raining). But I do love Thanksgiving! We have a tradition of building Legos.
@kvh22@juliebird6@bblair24 I totally think you’re all on to something! @bblair24 just the other day I was wondering if the MS (aka allll day sickness) was worse because I’m older - is this a thing?!?!? And I’ll chime in to say that I definitely felt more sick with my girls than with my boy and this time feels similar, but also MORE intense. I can’t wait to find out too!!
@kvh22 Im soooo sorry you threw up!! Ugh just the worst!!!
@theblondebump I’m glad you’re feeling better! Just hearing that are others are starting to feel better is reminding me that there IS a light at the end of the tunnel! @lovemyducks I’m with you - in general I like summer/spring better, but I do enjoy fall! @juliebird6 yours weather sounds lovely!!
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Ugh the nausea and aversions. Zophran isn’t helping. I’m mostly avoiding food until I just eat it without smelling it or thinking about it because I know it’ll make me feel better if I can just eat something. Also so tired, headaches. And I’ll add another super annoying one that may be TMI (but according to a quick google is a fairly common thing among preggos): a yeast infection?! What the what?! Never had one in my life until I had my IUD removed a few months ago. OB said that YI was probably due to hormone changes....so now I’m wondering if it’s the same cause (pregnancy hormones)?! Anyone deal with this during previous pregnancies? I’m waiting for a call back from my OB 🙄
GTKY: Im in Texas...so no haha. We’re supposed to have a “cold front” come through this week but today it was in the high 90s and felt like 100s sooooo I’m not counting on fall any time soon. I usually love the change of the leaves (I’m from NY so have lots of fall experience from my youth 😆) & the crisp air! Apple picking was probably my fav part of fall when I was younger. Here it’s probably the excitement of going to pumpkin patches soon!
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Still the usual extreme exhaustion, nausea, sore boobs, and weight gain. Now add in super weird cravings (like BBQ crispers with salsa con queso and mac 'n' cheese with pickles and spicy sweet mustard on top.... Wtf?!?). All of these are things I never experienced with my son, so I'm feeling kinda crazy.
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? It definitely is cooling down here in Canada. My favourite thing about fall is being able to wear cozy sweaters!
@kvh22 I’m not sure, I have two boys and have had terrible morning sickness with both of them. The first one I had HG and tore the lining of my throat out from the constant vomiting... I‘m hoping to avoid that again!
I’m 8 weeks today
this week is much like the last three. Constant nausea and vomiting. Today was slightly better since I saw the OB this morning and she gave me zofran. I’ve only thrown up a few times today! Other than that just sore boobs, and so so tired. I’ve napped almost every day the last couple of weeks! Thank goodness for husband and grandma’s help with the older two!
It’s definitely feeling more like fall here in IN. Today was like upper 60s and rainy, and yesterday was maybe low 70s with a breeze! Sorry for all of you not able to enjoy this, it definitely helps take the edge off of pregnancy!! Hopefully soon I can eat some homemade apple pie after picking them!
@goldpolkadot I had 3(!) yeast infections last pregnancy after also having none before in my life (incluidng my prior pregnancy). TMI but it was I think linked to sex for me (I say this because I got one early on in pregnancy and then was put on pelvic rest for 12 weeks and got none and then right after I was off of pelvic rest I got another one). I had to get up and pee right after to help prevent which was slightly successful going forward (still got one more).
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Super tired, hits randomly throughout the day. A lot of nausea and dry heaving, headaches, congestion, sneezing, insomnia, sore boobs, bloating, gas.
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? It is cooling down, and it has been chilly at night, which I like. I can't wait for fall weather, I love crisp fall air and the changes in the leaves. I love hot apple cider and all the fall foods (hopefully I can eat them this year).
@pelorunningmama yes on the working out helping- I feel like it also helps me sleep deeper which is better with my new insomnia! I can only workout at night though and am usually so tired I have been having to pass. Really looking forward to getting back into some weights and more workouts like I used to do regularly a few months ago..
@kvh22 ughhhhh!! As if all the pregnancy symptoms weren’t bad enough just on their own!! My doc called in a prescription, so I’m thankful for that!! Now I’m just paranoid and on high alert about everything. Do you know anything about ph levels and stuff like that being linked? Of course I’m analyzing evvvverything and trying to figure out if I’m somehow causing them (but really, I get it’s probably hormone related). I’ve heard about the sex thing & peeing right after to prevent - tho honestly I’ve always always done that anyway even before I knew it was connected 😂🤦🏼♀️ Oh goodness the things we have to deal with!!
@goldpolkadot Since we're in TMI territory already...I was wearing liners due to the increased discharge. So my OB said stop with the liners, change my underwear frequently if it bothers me, keep the area dry if possible (so completely dry off when getting out of the shower, don't hang out in a wet bathing suit, etc.). By the 3rd yeast infection, I was able to start the monistat super early and only needed a few days of treatment instead of the full 7 (you're supposed to do the 7 day one according to my doctor b/c it's a lower potency - so I had some leftover cream from the previous yeast infection and made my own applicator with an empty tampon applicator).
How far along are you? 9+1 What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Sore boobs, nausea at night so I have to keep a pack of saltines by my bed, constipation(seriously??), exhaustion, stomach sensitivity to certain foods like ice cream (😭) GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? Highs are in the 80s instead of the 90s! But still doesn’t feel quite like fall. Evenings are starting to cool off a little more which is nice to be able to sit out on the patio for tea in the morning when it is cooler. I love The cooler weather, the sweaters, and going to pumpkin patches and apple orchards in the fall. I look forward to that every year!
@kvh22 YES doc mentioned a lot of those same things to me over the summer - but dang we were in swimsuits at the pool for a LOT of the summer (ours was open & very socially distant and empty haha) so I tried as best as I could but it was still a challenge - I mean I felt like I was changing clothes like 6 times a day. Anytime we'd go for a walk in the heat I'd come home and change (it gets HOT in Texas!).
This time around I'd been thinking they wouldn't prescribe anything honestly, from googling it, but they did & said it was pregnancy-safe so this should be knocked out by tomorrow, praise the lord!
On a different note, I know I've mentioned a few times that zophran isn't doing much for me (what the heck!) - so this morning I found ONE leftover diclegis and took it on top of a zophran and OMG I've been a complete zombie ALL morning. Does diclegis cause drowsiness? I now feel like I should have googled it before taking it - and I can't remember if I only used to take them at night!!
@goldpolkadot Diclegis made me too tired to function. All it is is B6 and slow release Unisom (aunt is a pharmacist, so she gives all the inside info lol). Its less likely to cause drowsiness than regular Unisom, but definitely can. I had to stop taking it. I've been suffering through my nausea this whole time because nothing works, or it makes me too tired.
@goldpolkadot yea diclegis is just fancy B6+unisom like @mamabee1113 said with the time release. Unisom does not make me tired (I was hoping it would). Apparently unisom (so that part of diclegis) has to build up in your system and works better over time which I didn't realize. So I'm going to keep it up and hope that it eventually helps. I took reglan for the first time today and it hasn't done anything for my energy and I don't think for my appetite but it's hard to tell b/c we finally got the panera I've been craving which I downed (my team is giving us $30 to expense for lunch one day this week). BUT I don't feel like I'm about to throw up like I have pretty frequently over the past week. It's actually a GERD/reflux medication that my office uses as a first line before zofran which I also have a script for if this doesn't work (sorry if I shared that already - I'm also talking to my last BMB about this so I forget what I wrote where).
What symptoms are you experiencing this week? same same, nausea, fatigue, insomnia. I also didn't realize I could blame my lack of patience on pregnancy but I'm definitely doing that now.
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall? It's still in the 80s here most days, but we have had a few inklings of fall. I love fall but it kinda sucks here. It's short and the colors come and go too fast. I absolutely love fresh apples so that's probably my favorite fall thing.
I'm having some trouble functioning due to the nausea/fatigue and haven't been checking in all that much. I have my sights pinned on Monday as when things will hopefully improve. My son goes back to daycare full-time then and I have my first appointment, so I'll be able to actually do some work and also rest, and be slightly less anxious about the pregnancy.
Re: Symptoms Week of 9/7

@MandersX I'm sorry about the migraine!
Don't wait around for me
since I’m also a mom of two girls, but I also feel way worse this time around.

GTKY:
Im in Texas...so no haha.
9+1
What symptoms are you experiencing this week?
Sore boobs, nausea at night so I have to keep a pack of saltines by my bed, constipation(seriously??), exhaustion, stomach sensitivity to certain foods like ice cream (😭)
GTKY: Does it feel like fall yet where you live? What’s your favorite thing about fall?
Highs are in the 80s instead of the 90s! But still doesn’t feel quite like fall. Evenings are starting to cool off a little more which is nice to be able to sit out on the patio for tea in the morning when it is cooler. I love The cooler weather, the sweaters, and going to pumpkin patches and apple orchards in the fall. I look forward to that every year!
