@AshleyGemini24's wedding over the weekend, what was your favorite/most memorable thing about your wedding (I think everyone here has had one but me and I like hearing about people's weddings haha)? Feel free to share any pics of your dress/decorations if you want! If you haven't had a wedding, what was the most memorable one you've been to?

GTKY: In honor of @AshleyGemini24's wedding over the weekend, what was your favorite/most memorable thing about your wedding (I think everyone here has had one but me and I like hearing about people's weddings haha)? Feel free to share any pics of your dress/decorations if you want! If you haven't had a wedding, what was the most memorable one you've been to? My husbands uncle lives in Denmark and they have a saying there that when a man is dating he needs to have good socks, so when they get married they cut the toes off his socks at the wedding because his socks don't need to be good anymore. I have this hilarious photo of a bunch of guys holding him up with his shoes off and his uncle cutting the toes of his socks off.
A recent favorite wedding: friends of mine had to cancel their wedding in April, but then one morning in May I got a text from her that they had rescheduled it to be over zoom that evening and did we want to join online with only a few hours notice.

size of a large onion. Sucking it’s thumb and can now see light and hear sounds through my tummy. I wonder how he’s feeling about all the noise his sisters make haha.
hmmm I loved (almost) everything about my wedding. Ceremony was outside by the river, reception inside in a riverside manor house. The food was amazing, which was our number one focus. A super cool thing is that it was a late October wedding in upstate NY which was a gamble to have it outside. It was a somewhat cloudy day, but the moment I stepped outside to walk down the aisle the sun burst out of the clouds brightly and left a halo around me walking down. It made for awesome video. It ended up being 70 that day. The worst part is that I had a table marked for underage guests (16-20 years old) they were all seated together. We had an open top shelf bar and the bar tender didn’t give AF. Two of my sisters were underage and they got so wasted. When I came back from my HM that’s all my office could talk about. I was furious at the venue. Ironically when my sisters each got married they chose to have dry weddings....
So the seamstress that altered my dress totally botched it and it was too tight. I realized this once dinner started and I started feeling pretty terrible. I got through the first dance and as the party really got started I was miserable. I ended up taking a two hour nap in my mom's hotel room and my mom went to my house to pick up a random dress from my closet and went back to the party. SO, now I get to tell people "it's your wedding day, you can do whatever you want, you can even take a nap 😂"
My favorite part about my wedding was our location and how stress free I felt despite our horrible wedding coordinator and the downpour that happened shortly before our ceremony. Our wedding coordinator was trying to control when and how much the wedding party ate and drank. My husband and I told her more than once that it was our day and we were paying her so we could do what we wanted when we wanted to. She was trying to keep to a schedule and I almost didn't get to enjoy our wonderful cake. I took my time eating it on purpose just to mess with her.
Our destination wedding was 5/11/19 and had our entire family/friends come stay out at a semi secluded lodge in Colorado for a long weekend. The day everyone arrived there was a huge snow storm 🙈 Everything cleared up for the big day, but as we were saying our vows just the tiniest dust of snow came down ❤️ It was magical.
We’re actually celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary on Friday! We have fond memories of that day... A fun time eating, drinking and dancing with friends and family.
@oaktree6 we just celebrated our 10th anniversary, too! It was a relaxing and low key day, tons of family and friends came from far away (so much more than we expected!). We made a weekend of it and it was really special.
We got married in October in New England and the foliage was perfect. We also had one of our favorite bands play and a DJ, and had late night appetizers that were a big hit after an open bar all night. People were so thrilled to have sliders and quesadillas passed out at 11:30.
I did just the NT scan, everything came back normal as well. Apparently my baby is bigger than they’ve estimated & so they didn’t run the blood work on the chance it would come back “abnormal”. No one told me either I’ve just been blowing them up for the last 2 weeks 🙃 definitely feel cheated for my 1st trimester.
We’re actually celebrating our 11 year next week! Our wedding was intimate and wonderful, then our reception was outdoors on a perfect summer night with dancing, great food, and so many people we loved, it was perfect.
@oaktree6 congrats on 10 years and your NIPT results!
@marynog congrats on 10 years to you too! Getting married in 2010 it will always be so easily to remember the years you’ve been married.

hp242 laughing at that Danish tradition. How clever.
jumpy57 I hear ya on that ice cream. That's the kind that I almost always have in the house. Wonder if you have a favorite brand? Choco peanut butter is so hit and miss. Mine right now is Tillamook, but I think it's only a west coast thing.
oaktree6 so glad your NIPT had good results! And congrats on a boy! Wow, and also congrats on your 10 year anniversary! We have our 10 year in Nov.
@lavenderclouds I’ve been a lot more active this pregnancy than previous ones and I’m noticing stretch marks randomly on my stomach as well. I only look when I’m showering right after I work out, I’ll have to start checking later in the day to see if they’re gone. It’s stressing me out a little too, my previous pregnancies I didn’t have any stretch marks until after and they faded to pretty much invisible as I lost the weight.
My favorite thing about our wedding was the limo bus between the ceremony and reception for the wedding party. We got one you can stand up in so we could talk to and see everyone easily, it was so much fun. We technically had our first dance on it! Our reception was at the science museum of MN and they had a big dinosaur exhibit going on at the time. We got a bunch of fun pictures with the dinosaur skeletons before the reception started!
@whitealbum29 I hope you enjoy your time off! Sounds so relaxing.
@oaktree6 Congrats on your NIPT results!
