@juliebeannn That totally gave me some feelings! I've lost two, but now I (hopefully) get two take-home babies!
@jenotontx Yep, we did! We had two chemicals in a row, one in February and one in June, so my RE assumed it was due to genetic issues with the embryos. She was ok with us transferring two, and MH liked that if we did 2 this time, we would still have 1 in the freezer. I genuinely did not think both would stick around given my history of implantation failure!

Met with my MFM Dr. and found out that I’m having identical twins (mono/di). This puts me in a higher risk category...I’m a little nervous about it. Dr. said I would probably deliver at 36 weeks unless they come sooner.
@travandas that's exciting identical! But yes higher risk is scary. Hoping you have a great team around you!
Honestly, the twin news is still sinking in...lol Now, I’m wondering how I will be able to tell them apart? Bracelets? 😂 Yes, I love my doctors and have faith that they will take good care of me and my babies!
I had my first ultrasound today. The babe measured 7+6 with a heart rate of 150! Probably keeping the March 24th due date unless my Dr. feels differently.
From Tuesday! You can see the right little foot at the top and the right hand there lower down ❤️ Baby was bouncing around, but as soon as I tried to take a video decided to stay still haha I still captured a tiny bit of movement of the feet though! 9 weeks here.
You gals are going to get sick of me posting ultrasound pictures by the time this pregnancy is over... RN and Dr. couldn’t find heartbeats with doppler so they had to do an ultrasound. They are feet to feet and were kicking one another. Heart rates were 164/169.
Had my first official appointment with the midwives on Friday at 12 + 2. It included a scan to check for dating, heartbeat, and they also looked at the nuchal fluid. Baby grew! It’s now measuring based on my last period and not my ovulation. Due date confirmed March 10th. They didn’t measure the heartbeat but you could see it clearly on the screen beating away. Nuchal fluid looks good! She got a good pic of the skull too, and said that looked good. All 4 limbs looked good. Baby was sooooo calm. Didn’t move much. Chill baby. At the end of the scan, baby did a big dramatic turn to its side and then wiggled their booty to get comfortable. That made me laugh! Kind of reminded me of me, ha. I felt as if it was saying “alright, we’re done here with this portion” 😂

Finally had my dating ultrasound. Really wasn’t super convinced I was pregnant until now BC it happens so easily this time compared to last. Measuring 11 w 5 d at time of ultrasound. So relieved. There is a subchorionic hematoma along the one side though which makes me a little nervous, but they said it’s very common and will likely go away on its own in a few weeks. Had that with my first, but it seems bigger this time around. Say a small prayer for this babe!
Had my NT scan this morning! Both my NT scan and anatomy scan with DS were very clinical and they didn't allow me or DH to see the monitor while they doing the scan. It was really awkward and they just printed a few pictures at the end. This time, they had a monitor on the wall for us to watch the whole thing which was such a different experience. We had so much fun watching out little bean squirm around and not cooperate with our technician haha.
Little bean is measuring 13+1, with a heart rate of 168.

Got a bonus US today due to a bleeding scare. Good news there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong! They have no idea why I have been bleeding because everything looks normal. Baby is still measuring right on track and has a good heartbeat.
Got to see babies bouncing around! They’re positioned inside my uterus in basically an L shape - baby A is horizontal across my pelvis, and baby B is head down ready to go pointing towards the exit 😂😂😂

12+4, baby measured 13w today. HR 167. Posterior placenta this time woo hoo! So glad this went well. My NIPT didn’t have enough baby DNA so I need a NT scan ASAP and repeat bloodwork.
13 weeks 5 days according to the OB's office which had changed my due date apparently from 3/9 to 3/7 and baby is measuring 14 wks. This was done Friday. They squeezed me in because the NIPT test came back wonky and this was the attempt to check the NT. We'll be having amnio in 2 weeks to get results. Baby was sleeping with one leg straight out and one bent in the same way both mom and dad do!
Had my NT today bc NIPT didn’t work. Thank goodness everything looks great today! Also redid my NIPT to confirm. Baby is 13+3 but measuring 13+6, HR 154
We finally had our first ultrasound yesterday at 12w4d and were SHOCKED to learn of a vanishing twin. We had no idea we were expecting twins so it was a rollercoaster to learn of di/di twins, but one had stopped growing between 8-10 weeks and was beginning to shrink. We are still processing it. While twins was never something we had considered, knowing now what was lost is taking an emotional toll on DH and I. However, we are also so very grateful to see a healthy baby wiggling around in there as well. What an emotional rollercoaster!
@clevans1 My last pregnancy was a vanishing twin. I remember getting an ultrasound at 5 weeks and my doctor told me to come back at 7 weeks. When I returned there were two heartbeats. I was overwhelmed and didn’t know how to process It. At the time, SO was living in a different country and the thought of raising twins alone was making me anxious. My doctor told me to return in 9 weeks stating that I had to come in more frequently cause I was high risk. At 9 weeks she only found one embryo and one heartbeat. I remember crying a bit in the office. I was happy that there was still a viable baby but couldn’t help wonder about the one I lost. I’m thinking of you.
My little bubba at 13+1 weeks for his end-of-first trimester scan. Sooooo cute x I was told all is perfectly healthy and well, which was a huge relief. Feeling much better now.
I’m so excited and proud to say that my guess was right! We are having identical GIRLS!!!! Baby A’s hr 151, Baby B’s hr 155. They are both equally weighing 5oz. MFM said they both look fantastic! 💜💜
