Trying to Get Pregnant

Newbie, TTC 13m with PCOS and blocked tube

newbie here. 33y female. 13 months ago I stopped birth control and my DH and I decided to expand our family. My cycles were irregular lasting about 45-50 days the first 3 cycles. I kept hearing that because I am younger than 35 to wait a year. The next cycle was 70 days long! I kept at it and tried the OPK, my GYN did blood tests and ultrasound and said I am presenting like someone with PCOS although I didn't entirely meet the criteria except irregular periods. Encouraged me to keep trying and also test DH sperm which was normal. I continued the OPK and added BBT. With this I noticed that my luteal phase was only lasting 8-9 days after I ovulated. My GYN thought I probably wasn't taking my temperature accurately. Then the next cycle noticed it again. At this point it was 9 months so decided to meet a fertility specialist. Found to have one blocked tube on top of irregular cycles. She suggested trying femera. I tried the first cycle of this March 16th - 5nights of 2.5mg. Didn't respond to this dose but due to the pandemic was told we have to put everything on hold but can still try naturally. I had two additional cycles on my own - first was 60days, then 44 days, both with short luteal phase. The cycle that was 44days my doctor wanted to check my progesterone one week after ovulation which came back normal. Then June 19th was able to start femera again at the increased dose - 5mg x 5 nights. It worked!! I ovulated but then 8 days later got my period despite again checking progesterone and having it be normal. I tried looking through the threads but has anyone had short luteal phase with normal progesterone? I feel like even if the egg was fertilized it wouldn't even have time to attach to the wall.

    Hi OP, welcome to TTGP!

This board operates a bit differently than some of the other boards on The Bump. First of all, we generally discourage one-off posts, as it helps keep the board organized and less cluttered. Take a few minutes and read through the pinned posts at the top of the board, it will give you some guidance as to how we operate.

Once you look through that, you can go ahead and introduce yourself in the weekly Newbie thread. Also, my best advice here is to just start lurking! This question would be a great fit for our monthly Chart Stalk/Questions thread if you'd like to post it in there. You also should go ahead and change your username to something specific so people can tag you in replies, sometimes you need to log in and log back out for the change to take effect.

    Good luck!
