I'm 22 weeks today. Have been feeling little flutters in the evening after dinner since around 14-15 weeks, but nothing that anyone else could really feel or see from the outside.
Yesterday, the little guy started moving like crazy! He's especially active after I eat something sweet and when I'm outside on our patio with my belly exposed in the sunshine. DH could finally feel him kick against his hand. What a crazy, magical feeling!! ✨👶🏼
I’ve been getting what feels like a muscle cramp a little above my belly button to my left. It goes away when I sit/rest but it comes back when I’m up working. Waiting on a call back from a doctor. I know cramps are normal but this is concerning me that I can’t work without having that discomfort after a few hours on my feet.
@emohay1988 that's so awesome, it definitely is the most amazing experience! I could feel baby pretty regularly and DH could once or twice, but since our AS yesterday baby's been so excited. I think I notice the kicks more now that I know it's position.
I'm just. so. tired. I went to lay down with DS for him to nap and I wound up falling asleep with him. DH thinks I might be anemic since I'm really blah about meat and prefer my veggies!

I used to have a belly ring piercing when I was 16. I took it out around 22 and it closed up. My last pregnancy it got red and puss filled and my doctor said it was because my belly stretched it open where little bacteria bits can get in. Sure enough; he we are again! It was red today; I can squeeze it a teeny bit and puss comes out both holes. Sorry, probably TMI but it’s real life I suppose 🤷🏻♀️ It never gets infected, I just squeeze the ooze out and dab a little peroxide on it. I do shower and clean the holes haha!
Almost blacked out at my new job the other day after being on my feet for only two hours. Yikes. Focusing on hydrating, having snacks and sitting down now and then, I guess.
Appetite has gone down quite a bit (must be crowding my stomach), and I get out of breath a little easier (starting to crowd my lungs). Only going to get tighter from here! Haha
This is little girl must be squashing my bladder. It feels like I have to pee alllllll the time, but when I go usually it is just a small amount. And I get the prickly feeling like when your bladder is so full and you empty it. Also bending over repeatedly is incredibly exhausting.
@Louise_Belcher same! I woke up to go at 3 and then again around 8 and I didn’t have as much in there but it felt like it!
I also noticed the pressure of the stream kinda slowed down at the end which was weird to me. Usually it’s full force the whole time until empty. And the muscles in my abdomen are so sore after I get up. I think i need to get a pillow soon for support.
I spoke to someone from my hospital on the phone yesterday about the cramp I had and they didn’t seem too worried (which I felt like would be the response but I wanted to hear it lol). She said to keep up with water and try to take more frequent rest breaks. I chuckled and said I would try. I really do try to take more breaks but sometimes it s hard. After the phone call I was able to do some things at a slower pace which helped. However if I don’t get my stuff done I can’t leave so that’s why I’m usually going super hard at work so I can just go home on time, which never end up happening 😢
my ankles and feet are swelling now. No clue when that started last time but probably around the same. So glad it’s getting warmer out and I can just wear sandals. Anyone else with swelling?
@angbaby83 I can tell my legs are starting to swell and i am not looking forward to my feet doing it. They don’t indent yet but they get this weird dead feeling. Like I am touching them, but the feeling doesn’t register until into the leg a little.
@angbaby83 I had swelling in the beginning and had to take my rings off. It went away and now it’s back again where I can’t wear my rings again. I would wake up in the middle of the night and they were stuck on and I had mini panic attacks and rushed to run them under water to get them off, so for now I just leave them off. I feel like with summer coming I’ll end up leaving them off now because I’m thinking the heat might make us swell even more.
My work is supposed to be on my feet all day, but I'm sitting down as much as possible and taking it nice and easy. Noticed today that I started feeling too hot and a bit lightheaded (mask doesn't help either, I feel like I can't breathe in it) and so I caved and bought a maternity belt on Amazon finally. I'm hoping it'll help maybe.
Scarlett is so crazy active sometimes! I feel like with every passing day I can feel her more and more, and I know my SO is enjoying his quality time with my tummy. He was poking her a bit last night and chuckled and told me that she was fluttering against his fingers and investigating what was poking her.
Still having aches and pains in my back, but goodness I love my heating pad 😌
@greyl@Louise_Belcher Try leaning as far forward as you can while you pee! It usually helps me squeeze out a little more. Learned that trick with Baby #3
I'm feeling a little meh these days, a LOT of really bad headaches. My doctor prescribed something for them, thank goodness, because Tylenol wasn't doing much. It was getting hard to care for my older kids because the headaches were so bad (basically migraines, but usually at least Tylenol would keep them from getting to lay-still-in-bed-all-afternoon level)
I'm also still having BH a lot, including a couple of actually painful contractions last night. Just two in a total of like three hours, so I'm not worried, but then again, of course I'm worried...
My SPD is back, started this morning. Ughhhhh. Seriously feels like someone took a baseball bat to my nether regions. Kind of thought I wouldn’t deal with it this go around because it started around 16-18 weeks last pregnancy, but......
@dontcallmeshirley1 I just posted about this on the check in too but I’ve also had BH ctx already. This weekend it was in the morning right when I woke up (so maybe dehydrated?) Totally get the “not worried but also worries” feeling.
@chasingroygbiv Ok, I was just coming here to ask about SPD. I thought I was experiencing round ligament pain, but they’re not sharp Jabs. It’s constant pain in the left and right side where my bikini line is, so I think I might have SPD? It almost feels like I have run 1,000 miles with sore muscles.
@chasingroygbiv ugh same here. The pain is bad. I get up and walk quite a bit throughout the day because otherwise if I sit too long I’m miserable. But then if I walk too much it hurts 🤷♀️
@greyl They can feel a little different for everyone! Mostly it just feels like a tightening, and when you touch your uterus (right now it starts an inch or two below your belly button) it'll feel super tight and tense, but with no pain at all. But they can feel uncomfortable like period cramps, or mildly painful.
@greyl for me it feels/felt like the baby was pushing out on all sides of my tummy. Last time that’s what I actually thought was happening until one happened during an OB appointment and my doctor was like that’s a BH. My tummy gets very tight too like @dontcallmeshirley1 said
@emohay1988 omg yes lol. A few times I actually thought I was bleeding because it was so much. Then I’d rush to the bathroom and be like oh nope just discharge 🙈
In past pregnancies I’ve had BH that actually hurt because they’re so uncomfortable. I’ve had some friends that say similar, but others that say it doesn’t bother them at all, just a quick tightening and done. With mine though my belly basically goes flat/tight for several seconds, squeezes my bladder, and eases up. The closer I get to delivery the more uncomfortable mine seem to be.
It feels kind of weird to “love it” on a sumptoms thread, but I want to acknowledge it too 😆.
I feel you @emohay1988. I asked DH to put panty liners on our amazon order. The man orders four boxes of 96. At first I thought that’s crazy, then I figured, welp, they’ll probably get used!
Funny story- like a month before I got pregnant I ordered a pack of seventh generation panty liners on amazon and well they sent me an entire box of boxes of panty liners for the price of one 😂 so I was set!
Yes to the discharge! Especially after I lift something!
I had the weirdest dream last night that I could feel/see the whole baby’s outline through my stomach like to the point I could hold it because he was sideways. Why is my brain so odd haha
So tonight, instead of bouncing off the front of my abdomen, it feels like the little guy is literally kicking my cervix. Like I can feel the kick reverberating in my vagina 😂 Normal?
Anyone else leaking colostrum already? I'm definitely getting wet spots on my t-shirt!
I'm thankful, because I got implants after my last baby and had some nervousness about being able to breastfeed. So far it's looking like everything is functioning!
