3. rants/raves/questions I don't think I checked in last week and by the time I went to get caught up it was too much for me! Lol so trying to get in there early now. ;)
DH is home, so I'm looking forward to having his help with our one big project in particular (as well as a few smaller ones that are all part and parcel) namely swapping all the furniture around both our two main downstairs rooms. Ultimately, we want to have a nice toddler friendly family playroom where she can do more than just get plopped in front of the TV in the den. :/. I am pretty excited about it, but so far no major moves have happened yet...
DDs new big girl mattress (standard crib size) should be in around the end of the week! I have her new bedding all washed and ready to go. I'm sure it may be a bit anticlimactic without introducing the whole toddler bed at the same time, but I will try to enlist DH to get her new mobile hung to make it a bigger deal, plus she'll be getting a few of her own drawers, and maybe I can add a couple more decals, so hopefully she will notice the big-girl changes. 😊
4. GTKY What are you doing to stay sane and keep things in check? We have been prioritizing making Sunday special family day and watching church on TV, reading praying together etc. even if we can't go to Mass. That, combined with trying to keep it simple during the week, and get outside for some fresh air at least every day I think has helped us find a little bit of a groove.

@WishesSheCouldCook I was just thinking again about picking up compression socks too. My ankles don't seem all that swollen? But then end of the day, there's a sock line. :/
@tyrion_ running daily! OMG you are a wonder and speaking for myself, put us mere mortals to shame lol I need to just find a way to get out walking but it would most likely be while wearing a toddler...
1)Team girl power for us at 23+3 2) Evidently we are the size of a large mango... but with fists the size of a d6! 3) I'm just hanging in there... DH is cooking up some bacon for BLTs for lunch and this momma is on the hype train. 4) I've given up on trying to stay sane, I've moved on to embracing the fits of tears and I've doubled down on regularly cuddling my 5 year old. I'm reading webcomics in bed in the evenings and trying to just embrace the millions of games of Candy Land. We had so many plans for how we would spend DD's last summer as an only and they just aren't happening so I'm just gonna love on her in anyway she asks for, for now.
I got my Old Navy order today and these are the jeans I snagged. I feel so much more human and I think they make the belly look pretty cute in some of my more form fitting stretchy shirts.

4. GTKY What are you doing to stay sane and keep things in check? Working out most mornings has been huge for me, as has obsessively managing our take out budget and schedule. We've also crunched some numbers and come up with our own "rules" / thresholds about virus containment for sending DS back to daycare and deciding what to do about summer vacation (keep babymoon plans vs. just go see parents vs. nothing and stay hunkered down). Rules help me feel grounded, even when the data they're measured against does not.

1.How far along and team: 25w1d 2. Size of baby: Cauliflower 3. rants/raves/questions: Rant: Today I found out that somehow my order for a piece of furniture never got saved, even though I was charged for it and received confirmation that it was set to be delivered yesterday. I ordered a few weeks ago but it now won't come until June and they said there is nothing they can do. This is the second time this has happened to me (the first crib I ordered has been lost on a FedEx truck somewhere in NC since April 1). I know it's not the end of the world but it's frustrating to feel like things are about to come together only to learn it's going to be quite a while longer. Rave: We are taking a live online baby basics class through our doula's group this weekend. I'm looking forward to maybe meeting some other expecting parents and am also hoping that maybe it will start to make things more real for my son's dad. 4. GTKY What are you doing to stay sane and keep things in check? Daily walks... I'm trying to get out at least twice a day, even though I can't really go for longer than 30 minutes at a time anymore. 5. HDBD
1.How far along and team: 24 +4, team blue 2. Size of baby: cantaloupe 3. rants/raves/questions: Rant: The weather here has been so miserable the last few days. I've woken up two days in a row to a dusting of snow on the ground. It is April 22! Right now the sun is shining and it looks so nice out, but then you go outside and it's only around 37 degrees. Rave: My dresser for the nursery is being delivered Friday, and I just placed an order for a mobile for above the crib. Can't wait to share pictures once we get things set up! 4. GTKY What are you doing to stay sane and keep things in check? I've been trying to stay off of news websites. It's working...kind of. Sitting at home on unemployment with very little to do gives me a lot of time to worry, so I'm trying to give myself a list of tasks to be completed during the week, anything from claiming UI benefits to doing laundry to fitting in 2 barre workouts. We also try to take a walk outside in the middle of the day just to get some fresh air and get out of the house.
@sarah0985 I only found out what a rutabaga was last week. I had heard
of it, but it didn't know what it was or even that it was a vegetable. In the
UK it's a swede, the American name is defiantly fancier.
24 + 5 days Size of a cantaloupe I had a break down over the weekend about how I looked. I knew it was ridiculous in the moment which made it worse. I am thrilled to be pregnant but it’s been a struggle to see my body change I have been working out and taking my dog for walks!
1. How far along and team- 22 weeks (23 tomorrow) and team boy! 2. Size of baby- coconut 3. rants/raves/questions- none that I can think of! 4. GTKY What are you doing to stay sane and keep things in check? Ugh, it’s getting harder and harder to stay hopeful. I’m loving having DH home to take care of DD with me, but his job security (airline industry) come fall isn’t looking good and it’s really stressing me out. Ugh. 5. HDBD if you would like to share
1. 25w2d - Team Green 2. Baby is the size of an eggplant 3. Rant/Raves. I’ve ordered quite a bit of stuff online and I’m super annoyed everything seems to be shipping individually.. Monday the UPS truck was at my house - three times, twice yesterday and again today. Plus parcels at the post office. MH also had some orders come too! 😂 Rave: Baby items rolling in make me so excited.
4. Online shopping has been my distraction for staying sane. Along with organizing, planning, mostly just browsing online and making boards for each area that needs updating. Trying out different freezer meal recipes is something I’ve started to do.
2. Size of baby: footprint is the size of a AAA battery
3. rants/raves/questions: RANT: This stupid weather. Last week, we had tornadoes. Yesterday, it was snowing. Today, in the 60's. Wth?? RAVE: We've been decluttering like maniacs! It makes my nesting-heart so happy
4. GTKY What are you doing to stay sane and keep things in check?: Decluttering (see above) and planning 1 "special event" a night to give us all something to look forward to. It's helping DD learn days of the week and how a calendar works too, so added bonus! Last night we had a dance party where everyone got dressed up and we dug out some party decorations. Tonight we are having an ice cream dinner. Tomorrow is the one DD has been looking forward to ALL week - camping in our backyard.
@kgrgreen those theme nights sound so cute and fun!
How far along and team: 23 weeks today and team green! Size of baby: Grapefruit - and the weight of a soccer ball, which feels crazy to me Rants/raves/questions: Rant- my hips kill when I wake up in the morning! I've been using just a standard pillow between my knees trying to avoid one of those giant pregnancy pillows... but I'm not sure if it's doing the trick. Rave: I started taking Pepcid AC for my heartburn and that has been tremendously helpful. GTKY: Daily walks have helped me stay sane. Also, putting together my registry has been a fun distraction. I've also really enjoyed planning our weekly dinner menu plans and cooking - my husband and I both love to cook, and this process has provided us an extra feeling of normalcy during this time.
whl1013 we changed our pillow top mattress on our bed and it has made a world of a difference for me. Maybe you can try giving that change, or add one, and see if that helps. Our mattress itself is super firm and I just need something softer.

1. How far along and team - 23 weeks/ team pink 2. Size of baby - grapefruit 3. rants/raves/questions - the weather is so nice her this week and supposed to stay in the high 70s-mid 80s for another week! 4. GTKY What are you doing to stay sane and keep things in check? - spending time outside, snuggling my four year old as much as possible, baking, it’s all barely working...slowly losing my sanity. I’m looking forward to going to the office to work for a few hours tomorrow - normalcy! We are also doing a zoom game night with friends this weekend, so that should be fun. I’ve been treating myself to a half glass of wine and a bubble bath once a week which is heavenly...even if our only bathtub is surrounded by a zoo of colorful, plastic bath toys 🤣
1. 24w2d, Team Pink 2. Size of a Cantalope 3. I guess my only rant is this pregnancy is exhausting me medically. I've been dealing with high blood pressure since the beginning. They put me on a beta blocker to try and get it under control but it's causing my heart to be very irregular. They don't really know what's going on. I've also had a tremendous amount of swelling in my left foot/ankle even with compression socks and my arms keep going numb. Just trying to make it one day through at a time. 4. We have a bunch of babies being born on the farm. We had some goats have kids, a cat had kittens, and a bunch of ducks/chickens hatch. We've also been working on getting the gardens planted and all that shenanigans done.
@bigbuttbecky I looked at your photo, and before I even read anything, my first thought was, 'She doesn't even look pregnant!' Lol. You look great, girl! I know it's hard to see the bodily changes, but it's not forever. ❤️
@kgrgreen You are seriously mom of the year. I'm just trying to get through the days over here. 🤣
@KansasFarmMomma Farm life is my dream. How cool to see all those animals born! I'm completely jealous!
3. I had the chance to see our little girl during ultrasound this week. That's always a highlight. It's really hard to stay motivated working from home these days. I definitely need to get out more for walks and stuff.
4. I am trying to communicate with as much as possible with friends and family. Creating a routine around my days helped me to create some kind of sense for normal during these crazy days.
3. rants/raves/questions People are starting to guess I might be pregnant at work, guess I have to tell them soon lol! Feeling fetal movement more and more, it's reassuring to feel the movements and know everything is still ok.
4. GTKY What are you doing to stay sane and keep things in check? I'm still working full time. I spent some of my stimulus money online shopping. I got some maternity clothes, a bra, new prescription sunglasses, and some birkinstocks for when I can't bend over easily anymore. I miss going outside for walks in the park. It's been raining this week though. We've stayed busy working on the house and yard in our spare time.
2. Size of baby size of a baseball mitt or as tall as a thing of Clorox wipes
3. rants/raves/questions Rave: feeling movements is fun and I like getting to wear the maternity clothes I have Rant: I’ve been feeling what I think is low BP off and on and it’s no fun. Also, I can’t seem to find under belly leggings to purchase
4. GTKY What are you doing to stay sane and keep things in check? Just taking things slow and choosing one or two tasks to complete or projects to work on per day. This is the first week I haven’t been at work (it was supposed to be a week of vacation for baby moon, but that’s been canceled)
Rave: clearance overripe bananas at the store the last time I went, so I got enough for six loaves, haha. I made two the other day. I was going to throw the rest of the bananas in the freezer, but I might make some today because I'm bored. Rant: ugh, rain.
Staying sane: I've started taking walks every day the weather is nice pushing the girls in the double stroller. So nice to be outside! I'm also trying to be better at taking them outside and playing when it's nice. They're not cranky then because they LOVE outside. I just have to keep all the leaves and sticks out of #2's mouth.
3. Raves - I’m
loving the nice weather, it’s been pretty warm for this time of year. Rants – I
really need some proper time to get on top of my teaching work. DH is supper busy
with work and even though he’s at home he’s actually doing more hours than
usual, so I’m doing almost all the childcare and trying to get my work done in
snippets here and there.
4. GTKY
What are you doing to stay sane and keep things in check? We’ve been doing zoom
‘pub’ nights with friends, it’s been really nice to be social and catch up with
people. Also having nice food, I don’t mean necessarily unhealthy food but
fancier stuff (a lot of the cheaper brands are sold out anyway) and lots of fresh
fruits etc. also trying out some new recipes. I just hope DH doesn’t look at
the shopping bill.
3. rants/raves/questions. It's been such a busy week at work I'm so glad it's the weekend. I've also been in a bit of a funk this week and just down so I haven't participated much. We are hoping to go to BBB first thing Sunday morning right when they open and are clean to finish the registry. I find online so overwhelming and a few things I'd like to see in person.
4. GTKY What are you doing to stay sane and keep things in check? Hubs and I take our dog for a long walk at least once every day unless it's raining. It's been super cold here though barely breaking 50 today. My coats no longer want to zip... I wasn't anticipating wearing them this long!!

2. Size of baby: Endive, I think?
3. rants/raves/questions: Rave - Husband slow cooked pork for carnitas yesterday, and it turned out amazing. 🤤 Love when I get a break in the kitchen and even more so when tacos are involved.
4. GTKY What are you doing to stay sane and keep things in check? I love photography, so I recently invested in Photoshop. For the past week I've been trying to teach myself that monster, which has been too much of a distraction, actually!
@lachnessmomster Good luck with Photoshop, it's got a steep learning curve but it's worth it. I hadn't used it for at least 6 years but they got it at my school recently so I've had to try and remember how to use it.
@cornichonmam It's definitely been an undertaking. I feel like I could take an entire class on this program and still only scratch the surface. The only prior intro I've had is in my high school graphic arts class 12 years ago. 😬 I've been reading and watching tutorials, and it's like if I blink, I miss five essential steps for whatever it is I'm trying to accomplish and have to go back and watch again. Ugh.
@lachnessmomster my husband does slow cooked carnitas too! Thanks for the suggestion for him this week... 😁 I could eat like four million tacos these days.
3. rants/raves/questions: Rant: *gestures vaguely all around* I'm just sick of all this COVID stuff. Rave: It was GORGEOUS yesterday; it finally felt like spring. Questions: For all of you folks with older kids, when did they potty train? DD was making good progress but has totally regressed recently.
4. GTKY What are you doing to stay sane and keep things in check? Staying sane is relative for me I guess, lol. I've been trying to make sure to get outside as often as possible, keeping up with friends and family, and baking tasty treats. I've been so busy now that I am working again, which I think is a nice distraction in some ways.
5. HDBD if you would like to share
I finally took one! It only took half of this pregnancy... I realized recently that I have no full-length mirrors in my house. The one in the master bath is tiny so I had to use DDs, hence the fish

2. Size of baby: cantaloupe
3. rants/raves/questions: Rant: The weather here has been so miserable the last few days.
Size of a cantaloupe
I had a break down over the weekend about how I looked. I knew it was ridiculous in the moment which made it worse. I am thrilled to be pregnant but it’s been a struggle to see my body change
I have been working out and taking my dog for walks!
2. Size of baby- coconut
3. rants/raves/questions- none that I can think of!
4. GTKY What are you doing to stay sane and keep things in check? Ugh, it’s getting harder and harder to stay hopeful. I’m loving having DH home to take care of DD with me, but his job security (airline industry) come fall isn’t looking good and it’s really stressing me out. Ugh.

2. Baby is the size of an eggplant
How far along and team: 23 weeks today and team green!
Size of baby: Grapefruit - and the weight of a soccer ball, which feels crazy to me
Rants/raves/questions: Rant- my hips kill when I wake up in the morning!
2. Size of baby - grapefruit
3. rants/raves/questions - the weather is so nice her this week and supposed to stay in the high 70s-mid 80s for another week!
2. Size of a Cantalope
@kgrgreen You are seriously mom of the year. I'm just trying to get through the days over here. 🤣
@KansasFarmMomma Farm life is my dream. How cool to see all those animals born! I'm completely jealous!
It's really hard to stay motivated working from home these days. I definitely need to get out more for walks and stuff.
21+4, confirmed a boy
2. Size of baby

3. rants/raves/questions
People are starting to guess I might be pregnant at work, guess I have to tell them soon lol!
25 weeks, team green
size of a baseball mitt or as tall as a thing of Clorox wipes
3. rants/raves/questions
Rave: feeling movements is fun and I like getting to wear the maternity clothes I have
Rant: I’ve been feeling what I think is low BP off and on and it’s no fun. Also, I can’t seem to find under belly leggings to purchase

1. 24+1 Team Green
2. Cantaloupe
3. Raves - I’m loving the nice weather, it’s been pretty warm for this time of year. Rants – I really need some proper time to get on top of my teaching work. DH is supper busy with work and even though he’s at home he’s actually doing more hours than usual, so I’m doing almost all the childcare and trying to get my work done in snippets here and there.
4. GTKY What are you doing to stay sane and keep things in check? We’ve been doing zoom ‘pub’ nights with friends, it’s been really nice to be social and catch up with people. Also having nice food, I don’t mean necessarily unhealthy food but fancier stuff (a lot of the cheaper brands are sold out anyway) and lots of fresh fruits etc. also trying out some new recipes. I just hope DH doesn’t look at the shopping bill.

2. Size of baby. Coconut
3. rants/raves/questions.
