Ummm, why is there a banned user posting in the intro and u/s threads? It looks like that's the only two posts she's ever responded to. What the heck were in those posts to get her banned so quickly?!

Oh wow! @charhar0820 that really would be something! I might have to check it out....
@ziggymama06 I was wondering the same thing myself and then kicking myself for not opening those threads sooner :/ ETA apparently there are bots spamming the first tri board, as well. <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/xu/yaa4elrbem3r.gif" alt="">
Mistakes were made... Today as part of my child's musical education we were listening to some classic 80's hair band music and the lightening crotch from the resulting dance party has firmly reminded me of my limits.
@ziggymama06 Yeah, it was someone promoting her "friend's audio book." I was so annoyed when I saw it because it was clearly like...you made an account just to pop into the intros and U/S threads just to promote this audio book literally no one cares about? Lol. The language seemed very bot-like, though, so I held my tongue and moved on.
@tyrion_ WHERE IS THE COMMUNITY LINK!? I can't find it anywhere on my new app update. I'm on my laptop right now. SOS!
For real, the app MADE me update and then I couldn’t find you guys for a couple minutes, I was about to be mad. Reading this board is how I spend a fair amount of my time these days. 😆
My mom brought us some homemade sourdough on Friday which was AMAZING and also this cute little pot of flowers because it’s my my alma mater colors. And we’re a 45 minute drive from her. Moms are the best.
There’s a local garden that comes to sell bouquets on Saturday’s I may get the 50.00 bucket to make some smaller arrangements to give out to our moms and a few mama friends.
I took some time before work today to clean out the gift bags etc from the nursery closet. Dh has finished part of the basement and we had some space down there for all that stuff. 1/3 of the closet is now clean!
I have not been prompted to update and I'm afraid to. Is it better?
It's a busy work week for me. I try to cram it all in during my son's nap time because it's honestly the only time that I can devote all my attention to it, bit that's sort of exhausting. It was a beautiful day today though! Very refreshing!
Glad to hear it's working better, at least for now. I've never used the app, but I've only ever heard complaints.
I'm bored over here. Already called my mom today and chatted. The girls are napping so I should really take advantage and sew or clean or something. But I just have no motivation. Ugh, and I still need to figure out dinner. I don't have any meat out to thaw.
@riatortillaxo I’m having an easier time with the update - used to have all kinds of trouble hitting the back button where it wouldn’t register and I’d have to close down the whole app and reopen to get to a different thread. Just annoying to have to relocate everything now, since the main stuff on the bottom is now stuff I don’t really care about.
Hey ladies! I was so excited to see that the app changed. I first clicked on where the old community button was and was thinking to myself “why does it take me to baby names?” and then realized that the app updated. Now I’m excited!! But the back ground of the stupid app is still the same for me. I still can’t use it with WiFi and without WiFi our thread page took several attempts to load.
Anyways, I had a great day with my daughter. We did some lazy gardening, and then went on an impromptu walk with her. 45 minutes later I had my husband pick us up. During her quiet time I made Japanese curry. My husband and I have been craving a curry we had in Japan, and this recipe taste so freaking similar and easy to make. Now I’m laying on the sofa and EVERYTHING hurts. I feel like a Tylenol is in my near future. But luckily she is fast asleep. This is the earliest she’s fallen asleep in awhile.

I thought they completely killed the community! I couldn't find it at all on my app. Thank you @charhar0820 for sharing how you found it. Hopefully the app works better now. But it's weird that they completely hid the community section, right? I couldn't even find it on the homepage, but I had the link to community in my recent browser history.
Yeah the banned user was totally posting spam. Y'all didn't miss anything. Glad they took care of it!
I also panicked when I couldn't find the community. Phew, close call. Also, glad they got rid of that spammer so quickly!
This might be more of an FFFC, but I had a work conference call at 7AM this morning that finished about 20 minutes ago. I don't have much else to do today as it is but day off....but I am going to hide in my office and quietly finish my coffee because DH is home and handling DD. And momma needs a little space.
@maelove do you, mama! I would probably do the same. DH is home today, but there are all sorts of projects that need to be addressed in the home + garage. Plus I need to make phone calls, go through paperwork, scan / upload things blah blah blah. The computer is in the TV room, and I told him flat out - I need you to do stuff in the garage so I can get my stuff done! lol
Saying a thousand thank yous and prayers for the inventor of this inflatable water slide my kids got as a joint birthday present. Everyday has turned into water day at my homeschool 😂
Oh fun! @tyrion_ we have a new little slide for the backyard too, we just haven't had two dry days in a row to bring it out really :/ fx this week it happens!
@maelove I think that sounds like the perfect plan! I hope you enjoyed your coffee.
@BusinessWife I seriously feel for those still having gross and/or cold weather. I am already sick of the heat (we’ve been in the 90s for most of the month) but I can hide in the shade and my kids don’t care about the heat.
Since I lived in Germany up until I was 27, I am very much accustomed to German food and culture. Some of the things I grew up with, you unfortunately just can't get here. I have been able to manage up until now - since last weekend I have the biggest craving for a certain type of frozen creamed spinach you can only get in Germany. Obviously that is also not something that can be shipped to me. I almost cried over it on Sunday...stupid cravings!
OMG @strawberryfields82 that creamed spinach sounds so good to me right now, too! If you figure out a way to get it shipped, send some my way, as well pls+tku ❤️
@tyrion_ that slide sounds so fun! we keep having really nice weather days and then it will rain for three days and not get out of the 50s. I love hot and humid weather (I say as someone who has never been pregnant in the summer) and am so ready for that weather to be here to stay. I'm starting to think I may not be able to join the community pool this summer (still not off the waitlist and who knows if it will even open) but I have a baby pool so maybe that's all I need
@wednesdaygirl1019 I would be tired of snow this time of year as well. It's almost May, mother nature needs to get it together! @rivercitynik I believe your in VA and MD, our weather has been great most days. My husband just came from outside and told me I need to head out there once I get off work. I'm looking for some fresh air with sunshine hitting my face!

@rivercitynik Our weather has been mostly in the 90s with some random 65 degree days and we had two tornados in our area yesterday. The whole earth is angry, I think 🤪
Speaking of weather. Yesterday was gorgeous so I decided to get to work in my gardens while MH cleaned the garage out. FINALLY. I got about a quarter of our gardens mulched & I tackled the garden shed! I paid for it last night and this morning trying to get out of bed.
Now the weather today has been freezing with strong winds and SNOW. 🤦🏼♀️
This weekend’s forecast is looking pretty decent so I hope to at least get my front gardens finished then.
@strawberryfields82 We went to Germany quite a lot on holiday when I was a kid,
as my dad speaks German. I love spaetzle and the dried noodles you get in the supermarket.
There really is nothing similar here. I tried to make spaetzle myself once but
it did not go well. You can usualy get a few German things at Aldi here.
@cornichonmam Yes, Aldi has German food twice a year with a lot of my favorites. Those are celebratory weeks for me. Lol They just never the Spinach that I want.
My nesting is really starting to kick in. I feel this intense need to have the house "done" and ready for when this baby arrives. Which is super great timing (not), since I'm on unemployment until our SIP is lifted and I can go back to work, so we don't have the money to buy new lamps and rugs and a bedroom set and frame all of the pictures we wanted to have framed in addition to prepping baby's room. But I feel like I have to have these things done, and DH bless his heart does not get it.
@strawberryfields82 I'm sorry you can't find the spinach you want. Creamed spinach is so delicious. Is it something you could try to find a copycat recipe for?
@strawberryfields82 I don’t know where you live but if there’s a Larger German Population, you may be able to find some at a restaurant or local store.
My husband is Arab and I lived over seas in the Middle East for 8 years. We have to drive A bit but we can find things we miss at locally owned stores and restaurants in areas that hve a large Arab population.

@sarah0985 I live in NC. We have some Germans and German restaurants here but unfortunately their menu does not go too terribly far beyond the standard dishes. Thanks tho ☺️
Is anyone looking at purchasing a different vehicle? I currently have a sports coupe that's lowered and has no trunk space at all, and I am seriously considering to invest in something with 4 doors and more space, that's higher off the ground (like an SUV). With my age and history of back injuries, I really don't see myself crawling into the backseat of a coupe to strap in a car seat.
@older1sttime_mom2b We aren't buying new car right now, but I will say that we love my CR-V. They're expensive even when purchased used, but they are reliable and we can easily see ours lasting past 200k (currently at just over 100k and no issues). It's high enough off the ground that my DH (who is 6'3) doesn't have to completely bend over to get into it, but not so high up that you need a step to get into it. The trunk space is great too.
