Here’s a thread to talk about all of your upcoming appointments and any ones that you have already had! Feel free to ask any questions or bring up relevant topics!
I have my appointment for my pap smear/meeting the doctor/etc. next Friday 4/10, but I am going to call tomorrow and see if we should push it back. We are under the Stay at Home order and the cases in MD are really expected to spike in my County next week, so I would love to stay home if possible. We shall see.
I then have my genetic counseling aka blood draw and ultrasound/NT scan on 4/23. Since that has to be done in a specific window I will definitely be driving down to the hospital for that.
My next appointment is on April 29th when I will be 12 weeks. I have the option to do NIPT and carrier screening at that appointment, but haven't decided yet if I should. Insurance won't cover it but my OB has a deal with the testing company where it would only be $250 for NIPT and carrier testing for the two most common issues. I feel like it is worth it... plus I'd get to find out the sex early anyone else deciding whether or not to do NIPT?
@bserena $250 without your insurance covering it is definitely not bad at all! I have really good insurance and it will still be a $100 copay and then a possibly 30% coinsurance, which I doubt I will have to pay, but there is a chance. I never really considered anything but doing it just because I am AMA and did it previously with DD before as well. I like that it is non-invasive because I am a hard no on any invasive testing.
My first appointment is on April 14, I’ll be 9 weeks. I’m anxious to see if I will actually be seen or if they will change it to a phone appointment, I really hope not! So far they haven’t said anything.
I have an appt on 4/15 to do NIPT, then 4/17 with the midwife for the first of the regular monthly appts, but with the added joy of a pap smear! @bserena That's hard! It's a definite yes for me, because it's covered, but even if I had to pay some, I think I would. It's important for peace of mind for me.

@hedgepig yea I think we will probably go ahead and do it! I really was very surprised by how low the cost is, I thought it would be a lot more. I'm grateful for that! And yay for yours coming up!
My next appointment is Monday. It will be my first ultrasound! They had originally told me to get blood drawn before the appointment, but I would have to do it at the hospital. I called them when this virus reached out area and asked if we could do the blood draw when it calms down. They are allowing me to. I'm just so concerned about the safety of my baby. I haven't left the house in over 3 weeks! My mom even came and has been working from my home taking care of my husband and I. (Husband has some unknown illness, since October) I'm nervous but excited about my first ultrasound!
Had my first OB appt today. We had an US and intake wit the doctor. I'm posting the US on the US thread I really liked how accommodating this practice is! Next up is NIPT on 4/17.
My office is taking a lot of precautions and limiting appointments as much as possible right now. First step is to go get initial bloodwork done, which I am thinking I should do tomorrow. Then after dr receives the results, he will send me for a dating u/s and then as long as everything is going smoothly, I will be seen for my first physical visit at 12 weeks.
I had a phone call appointment on 4/1 where the CNM just discussed pregnancy with me (FTM) and discussed prenatal testing options. I don't think any options are covered by insurance for me I am going in for blood work today to check levels then first ultrasound on 4/7! Initially I was supposed to have the ultrasound/exam on 4/1, but things changed due to the situation of COVID-19.

1st trimester ultrasound was this morning and it seems like everything looked good! I also had a blood draw for the genetic screening and to control my TSH levels. I should get all results in the next couple days. Oh and looks like it's a boy 💙 ! 75% chance that the technician is right so we'll confirm at the 2nd trimester ultrasound.
The nurse weighed me and I've gained 7 lbs total, 6 in the last 4 weeks. It's a bit more than I would have liked (wanted to keep the 1st trimester weight to 5 pounds) at this point but I won't stress about it.
When we receive the results, I'll call my GP for a tele appointment.
I went to a private clinic for an 8 week ultrasound. Sweden doesn't routinely provide them, so I had to pay out of pocket. I had my blood drawn last Tuesday and will have an ultrasound next Wednesday. Kinda nervous because they do not check HCG levels here so I have no idea how things are going. 😑
I had 2 appointments this week. Monday was NIPT and Tuesday was a tele appointment with my GP. The phone call felt a bit weird but at least I found out I won't need thyroid medication which was a relief. I think I like in office appointment better...
Re: April Appointments
After my US, I'll call my GP to set up a tele appointment that should follow shortly.
