Getting really annoyed by all the quarantine baby boom talk. Someone even brought up on a first tri board thread. It just feels like a slap in the face that people are getting KU with not even trying while I can’t seem to do it when I am. 

Im mainly struggling because Of the following TW Pregnancy mentioned 

I found out my cousin who is in her mid 20’s is pregnant. I’m pissed because she is apparently KU by her abusive ex she had a restraining order from. Which has been well in effect before she got pregnant.  I’m mad all the effort we have taken to get her into a better place and the steps she took were meaningless.  I’m also pissed because that means the Ahole is going to have rights to the poor baby. It just feels unfair.

@allthingscozy lots of hugs. Those kind of situations are such gut-punches. I'm sick of the quarantine baby boom jokes, too. I know that if I do get KU in the next few months, people are going to make comments and I'm trying to think of a polite way to tell them to shut it.

@emeraldduchess. I have a feeling some comments will be made if we end up KU  and just planning to tell people we have been trying for a long time and this wasnt in our plan.  Hopefully that will make them a little uncomfortable and they won't think to make such comments to people in the future (but who am I really kidding!)

So DH and I have been spending a lot of time together obviously.  He just said, Babe you just keep changing the topic of conversation without even taking a breath.  And what random things are you talking about?  There is no link between them.  I think he is politely telling me that I talk too much!

@dobiemom11 Sorry YH made that comment, hope it didn’t hurt your feelings! I actually say the exact same comments to MH all the time. But it’s because I absolutely cannot
follow his train of thought when he does it and I have no idea if I’m supposed to be just listening, or actually engaging in a back-and-forth convo w him.

Also, WTF is with all the birth posts where they're listing yes/no for epidural, pitocin, etc, baby birth stats, due date, birth date, and all that. Why is this a thing now???

@dobiemom11 yeah I’m a major talker mostly out of anxiety and I’m a fast talker. Sorry if he hurt your feelings? Maybe he was just trying to track your mental track ? That is my DH term for trying to follow how my speech often lags behind or doesn’t always make sense with how fast my thoughts go.

Sorry for all the posts it’s been a stressful day and I’ve had a cocktail or two... but Dot’s pretzels ( a seasoned, slightly Spicy local hard pretzels, which are amazing and you should definitely find them) dipped in pickle juice because you ran out of pickles (Vlasic York purely pickled) juice is so yummy!

@keikilove and @allthingscozy. I actually thought it was pretty funny, but thank you for the love!  But I think @keikilove nailed it right on the head...he doesn't know how to respond because the topics aren't in some order.  By the time he comes up with a response, I have moved on.  To be fair, not sure he is actually listening half the time.  We have finally reached a point where he will say do you want me to respond or are you just telling me your whole life story because you have been alone all day?  (And that was before quarantine started, so who knows where we will end up?)

I had to comment on the first tri covid thread after reading how unhappy someone is they are pregnant.... ugh let’s trade places! I assure you I would not be “unjoyful”

@allthingscozy I'm not sure I know how to put it all into words without taking an hour to decide what all those thoughts are lol.

I understand the fear, but I also understand what you're saying. Cuz frankly, I'd rather be in the boat of getting pregnant now, than be one of those poor women who now have to give birth alone because the pandemic is raging in the hospital they planned on giving birth in. I'd be more sympathetic if there was mention of them being immuno-compromised because that very much is a real concern. But the whole "we stopped but it was too late" was very much like those oops baby intros you see in the BMBs. It just rubs you the wrong way.

Also the baby boom joke is so old and annoying.

I had to mute my group chat of my girlfriends (TW pregnancy mentioned) because one of them is KU with her second LO and she has been venting about her anxiety relating to the virus and her pregnancy without any thought for me. She also told the group she wishes she could drink because she would be drinking constantly. I know she doesn't know I was KU for like a minute and a half last month, but that one stung. 

I totally understand she needs to vent and safe spaces etc. I just wish I could have an IRL safe space. If this continues I'll probably have too much wine one of these weekends and ask her to stop or to start a chat without me. 

I have ZERO tolerance for "coronababy" jokes, and I also am livid at the meme going around from the mommy groups asking childless people what it's like to be in quarantine without LOs because it must be awesome. Actually, it's not. It's wondering when I'll ever be able to transfer another embryo, listening to the constant playing of the kids next door, being part of group text chains of my niece and nephew's grandparents talking about how it's "torture" to have to be isolated from the LOs. It's not exactly buttercups and daisies over here.

@allthingscozy I saw your response over there and thought it was warranted and appropriate.  I agree with you wholeheartedly--you basically spoke for me there too!
@inthewoods23 i do agree that I'd be more comfortable in the boat of getting KU now as opposed to giving birth in next few months based on hospital restrictions, but obviously would be grateful for a pregnancy at any point in time amid all this. 

and ughhhh the whole 'not intending on it happening this way' bit got me.  it just SCREAMS ungrateful and entitled.  

TW (pregnancy and loss):

One of my closest friends is due on April 14th.  right now they are allowing spouses in delivery room, but things could change on a dime so she is definitely nervous because we are in a hotspot here.  however, she is very mindful of my situation because i suffered a loss 3mos ago, so she explains her anxiety about it but has never complained once.  i wish all people were so empathetic and tactful.

and i'm with you @mvt2003, the coronababy jokes aren't even remotely funny, and i don't find myself to be an overly sensitive person.  sorry about your group chat though.  that group chat should be safe for you as well, not just her.

Speaking about people not thinking before they speak, tomorrow is April Fool's Day.  I hate that day and all the fake PG announcements.  Also as someone noted on FB, people have a lot of extra time on their hands now.

@gingermama29 and @capnjackharkness eh I told her to not play the victim and to apologize for her careless and thoughtless words in response to her saying we were being hateful and mean with my initial response to her... if I had known that was going to get me banned I would have gone out in a bigger way 😂 I should have just stayed away from the bump yesterday given everything going on. Yay for no 3 day waiting period though?

Looks like I missed a lot while I couldn't log in! I can only use my home computer and DH has needed that for WFH all day. My phone just can't support the mobile site anymore. Boo. So I will probably be scarce during the day while DH is using our laptop. I'm too afraid to log in via my work laptop.
