This week is too busy!! The only evening we had free was Friday and I invited our friends over. I’m too tired to be this busy. I also need to pack everyone because we leave for FL for the week on Sunday night and I am not even sure what warmish weather clothes I have that fit right now. Tomorrow DS1 has spring school pictures so I really need to cut his hair or take him some place to get it cut, but we are going to MIL to celebrate BIL’s birthday tonight. Which would be fine except we saw BIL on Sat and Sun while on the other side of the state where we were all moving my brother and his wife into their new house (BIL and my brother are good friends). So it seems like overkill to see him again today. My fingers are crossed for a snow day this week.
Today was a chill day. We just went for a walk at the nature park but kiddo fell asleep like 5 minutes in lol. Tomorrow we have to take DS to an appointment with the speech therapist and we have to drop by our friends wine store. Wednesday I have a funeral. Work the rest of the week and then off the weekend!

Usual stuff going on this week (trying not to retch or fall asleep at work).
I truly thought we had been doing a good job keeping my pregnancy a secret from DD but this afternoon she touched my tummy and said "My baby brother is still in your tummy, right mama?" My quick response: "uhhhhhggh" 😛
Rough day today both with nausea and a fussy toddler. She kicked me when I tried to get her out of the car seat and only wanted Daddy... and he’s at work all night so that should be fun. Happy Monday!
Thanks guys. It's for a woman who was my mentor and work mom for many years. I owe my career to her. She had a massive stroke suddenly on the way to work last weekend and never recovered. The good news is that they were able to donate some of her organs which would have made her very happy. Just tough since we just went to DHs grandmother's funeral just last week and found out that DHs grandfather is very very unwell 😢

@ssbl it took forever for mine to go away and every time someone tells me just a couple more weeks I get so annoyed, but I do hear that some people feel better. I’m sure you will 🙂
@ssbl I am counting down until second tri also (only one more day!) and hoping symptoms just magically disappear. 😆 My first two pregnancies were not this bad so I’m fearful this may last a lot longer.
Yeah @ssbl@Louise_Belcher the first time around I was hoping for a quick transition to the second tri but it doesn't always work like that. But it will get better!! Hang in there @ssbl!
@angbaby83 getting kicked by toddlers is the worst! I was so shocked when DD did it for the first time (like where did you see that, my sweet baby girl??). Hope tomorrow will be better.
@jennifer_louise Haha yup. The tower is precariously close to falling over and the cat is just chilling. The caption says “it’s my goal to be this calm when things are falling apart.” Just a meme that speaks to my soul lol
The Motherhood maternity store in the mall close to me is going out of business, and everything is 50-70% off. They also have a deal where if you buy 8 items you get and extra 20% off. I got almost $400 worth of stuff for around $120. It was great!
@ssbl It does get better. It just takes some people a little longer than others. With my 1st for nausea/food aversions, that went away pretty quick, but the fatigue lasted until around 16 weeks. I'm almost 14 weeks and I'm still waiting for the nausea to go away. I want to be able to eat more that carbs all day
@jennifer_louise They're so much more perceptive and knowledgeable than we give them credit for. DS doesn't really talk yet, but man does he understand what we're saying.
@macheno I have one in my local mall I’ll have to see if it’s closing! Maybe I’ll go on Saturday. I have target gift cards though so I’ll probably buy most of my stuff from there.
@macheno I will have to check that out. I keep adding things to my cart at ASOS. Apparently I want all the maternity clothes even though I already have two totes full. 😬
woke at 3:30 to slight back pain. legit thought I had gas. by 6, I was lying in bed moaning, positive I was losing this little bean. pain was so bad I was vomiting, but no other symptoms. DH called in a sub when I told him I think I needed an ambulance (I actually have a super high pain tolerance, so he knew it was bad). once MIL arrived to help with our other 3 kiddos, we headed to the er. got there at 7:15 and they had me in a bed by 7:30 - I was moaning SO loudly I was scaring even myself.
checked the baby, all good. so, what’s the culprit? a MFing kidney stone. could be multiple, can’t tell because we can’t do a CT on a pregnant lady. don’t know when it will come out, don’t know the approx size. basically don’t know shit. awesome.
I’m home now with Percocet for the pain along with something to relax my ute and super nervous of the unknown. I’ve never had kidney stones so I have no clue what to expect. I will say though, I legit thought I was dying. the pain from this was FAR worse than laboring...
@starlynn91 That’s horrible! I actually had a friend this happened to and they ended up doing surgery— while she was pregnant. She had been hospitalized a few times prior to them deciding to go that route if I am remembering correctly.
@starlynn91 that sounds terrible I am so sorry! So glad your baby is ok I’m sure that was terrifying thinking something was wrong with baby. But so sorry you have kidney stones I have heard they are terrible. Prayers they pass soon!
@starlynn91 oh no!! Sending so many healing thoughts your way. I had one 6 months post partum and it was awful. I can’t imagine being pregnant and not having any info because they can’t scan it. You have all my sympathy. I agree it’s a pain much worse than labor. They told me the pain is usually most intense when you’re going to pass them so maybe you’re close. Did they give you a strainer or anything so you know when you pass it? I’m so sorry you have to deal with that ❤️❤️
@starlynn91 oh gosh that sounds so scary!! I’m glad the baby is all right. Sorry you have to deal with that incredible pain hoping it passes soon and is manageable. Keep us updated!
@starlynn91 I’m so sorry you are dealing with kidney stones. I have had many in the past and actually have a couple small ones just sitting in my right kidney. They are definitely worse than labor. Hoping you pass it soon!
If you are at all interested there is a great FB group called the Kidney Stone Prevention Diet. It’s primarily run by Dr Frederick Coe’s (one the countries leading Nephrologists out of the University of Chicago) nurse Jill Harris. She has a course you can take. I haven’t due to cost but her FB group provides so much awesome information on kidney stones along with the University of Chicago’s website. I wish I had found it many years ago as I was given really bad medical advice by my first Urologist.

@starlynn91 How awful! I've heard pregnancy can increase your chances of having kidney stones. I'm sorry you're dealing with this. I hope they pass soon.
We've been eating lots of oatmeal and it seems to have helped firm things up for the moment 🤞 now we just have to deal with the diaper rash and the crankies from that. Ugh.

I don’t feel like starting a new randoms thread so I’m just gonna use this one.
My target had 15% off maternity today. I don’t know if these are store specific or if all the targets do them at the same time but I figured I would share! Got two pairs of jeans for around $50 (One side panel one full panel) because the full panels are still too baggy in the front for me with no bump yet. They have some cute dresses! Small selection in store though
Took DS on Wednesday for his 15mo well visit. We got behind after we moved- he's 16mo as of tuesday. He did not like going to the doctor, but despite that everything went well. He's growing and developing on track. He had 3 vaccines and had a slight fever in the evening. We gave him some motrin before bedtime. I thought he would do fine by the next day, but he woke up with a major fever at almost 104. I gave him more ibuprofen, and called the doctor. They said it was probably from the Tdap shot, to monitor him, and call back if it goes up to 105. He was fine before his nap, ate breakfast, fever came down to 99. After his nap it was at 105 so I called the doctor and took him to the ER. Turns out he has an ear infection in his left ear. That combined with the vaccines made his temp spike. So, We have him on antibiotics for the next 10 days. He still had a fever this morning, and not much of an appetite. I'm hoping these antibiotics kick in soon.

@mflowers929 I’m sorry for your loss.
@jennifer_louise Your daughter is perceptive!
@angbaby83 Good luck with the fussy one!
Counting the days until the second trimester. STMs, please tell me this nausea will go away—even if it’s a lie.
Just tough since we just went to DHs grandmother's funeral just last week and found out that DHs grandfather is very very unwell 😢
