FTM mom...I am over here just living vicariously through you all. I'm going to be bringing my baby into a 450 sq ft studio apartment. The joys of living in the Silicon Valley, the most expensive real estate market in the country!!
So the only furniture I'm getting is going to be whatever baby is going to sleep in...I think I've decided to go the mini crib route versus a bassinet...I'm hoping I can get use out of it for a longer time period and I think it will still fit. And probably a chest of drawers (it's gonna have to be very small) and some storage containers to go under the crib. The crib is going to go in the very far corner of the apartment, to try to keep it away from noise as much as possible (not really going to be possible, hopefully this baby becomes a hard sleeper). I'm thinking about doing something on the wall in that corner to make it more baby central...possibly adding more storage like shelves...but I am not sure if it's safe to have stuff like that directly over the crib.
Some day, maybe even this year, we will move to a bigger place and I will be able to participate more so in this for the next kiddo(s)!!
