Trying to Get Pregnant

IF testing and treatment w/o 2/17

Re: IF testing and treatment w/o 2/17

  • @mvt2003 Gotcha. It's extra hard because it's so much emotional labor having to lay it all out for partners when in theory, they should just understand it. If that's the reason you restrained yourself from telling him that, I totally get it and have been there myself. <3
  • Loading the player...
  • @mvt2003 If only I could use some of this positive-ness on myself once in a while  :D:D

I feel like this is you right now (and exactly how I would be too if I were where you are right now hahaha)...

And this is me in response to you... trying to build you up!! <3
    Our TTC Journey
    TTC #1: May 2011
    BFP: 10/27/2011 |  EDD: 6/30/12
    DS born 6/28/12 via C/S 3

    TTC #2: September 2018
    Me: 36 | DH: 39
Mirena removed 9/13/2018 after 6 years
    BFP 11/11/2018 | MC @ 5.5 weeks on Thanksgiving
July 2019 - Diagnosed with Secondary Unexplained IF
August 2019 - 2.5 mg of Letrozole = Never Ovulated so Trigger and IUI were cancelled
    9/30/2019 - IUI #1 (5 mg of Letrozole + Trigger) =  BFP but Betas showed CP @ 4 weeks
    10/28/2019 - IUI #2 (7.5mg of Letrozole + Trigger) = BFN
    11/25/2019 - IUI #3 (7.5mg of Letrozole, Trigger + Crinone after IUI) = BFN
    12/24/2019 - IUI #4 (7.5mg of Letrozole + Crinone after IUI) = BFN
1/24/2020 - IUI #5 (50mg of Clomid + Trigger + Crinone after IUI) = BFN and an Ovarian Cyst
    3/2/2020 - Taking a break to reset/NTNP
11/1/2020 - At peace with where things are in life and are no long actively TTC. Whatever happens will happen and it will all be okay. <3

  • @mvt2003 ❤️❤️ don't count yourself out yet! You're only 4dp which would be highly unlikely to turn a test if you were to take one. IMO, you and YH might be better off not saying anything at all if you have to transfer a 2nd time.

In my case, I'm happy that people are clued in to our IF but don't have any expectation of when a possible pregnancy announcement may happen. It feels like less pressure is put on me to be successful since they don't know specifics. Plus it's more fun to have a surprise.

Edited to add *lurking as I didn't realize what thread I was in... sorry everyone!
  • @kpearse99 <3<3<3<3<3 Very very very accurate!

@looeeze Yeah, it's just extra labor to explain that to him right now that I don't have in me, unfortunately.

@inthewoods23 I actually responded to him about that last night asking if next time we can keep it a secret, and he said yes. Let's see if he remembers :D

    @emeraldduchess I love that!!!! <3<3<3

  • @mvt2003 I’m sorry you are feeling out...but as so many others have said, you may not feel any real symptoms until after the Beta! I would try and stay positive...but I understand trying to protect your heart and prepare yourself for the possibility of a negative! I’m going to continue to remain positive for you though, and I’m sending you all the 💜 and positive vibes! I hate that you are dealing with the added pressure/comments from your IL’s! I’m sure they mean well, but that would be very difficult for me to deal with too! Hopefully they give you some space after the Beta, no matter the outcome!!

  • @mvt2003 I understand after trying for so long we want to prepare ourselves for the not so great news. But just like what others say symptoms may not show up as quickly. Sending you positive vibes!

@kpearse99 thank you so much for making a playlist of the happy songs! I can’t seem to find the playlist tho! Is it set to private? 😆

Now I started to worry about my endo... My doctor reassured me that they do a saline sono before each transfer to check for abnormalities in the uterus. Just can’t stop worrying about potential hiccups...

  • @whitealbum29 I'm sorry your and your SO didn't see eye to eye about the HSG at first. My DH tends to react the same way when it comes to out-of-pocket costs on the IF journey. I'm glad that he saw your side of things. I think you're totally right to want to have the HSG done before you go too far into treatments. Did I miss something about your insurance not covering it?  I would think that most companies would since it seems like a pretty standard test for IF, but maybe not.
  • @whitealbum29 I know what you mean about the expectations! My RE said that our likely next step would be medicated IUI and I feel like my first thought was, “omg I’m finally going to get KTFU!” And then I also started doing research that brought me way back down to reality. It just feels good to finally being on the path of doing something that might be more successful that what I’ve been doing up to this point. I’m glad your H finally saw your point of view on the HSG. I’m hoping it’s not as expensive as you think it might be!

  • @emeraldduchess yay for a good appointment! Love that you have rainbow socks ready!
  • @ramzlau I just got the rainbow socks off Amazon the other day. I wore narwhals for my first IUI. I always wear cute socks to my monitoring appointments when my feet have to be in the stirrups! Tomorrow I am wearing my Hogwarts socks to my appointment. 😁
  • got my Day 5 update, out of the 14 fertilized eggs there are only 3 that are being frozen today :(

I have asked my doctor how many are still developing, but they never got back to me. Ugh not gonna lie I am very disappointed... I am grateful about the three embabies that made it to freeze; just really hope more could become blastocysts as my RE said normally 50% fertilized eggs become blastocysts with their lab...

  • @pom9207 I'm sorry the news wasn't what you are hoping for. 💚 I hope your RE gets back to you really soon and that some of those embryos are still growing!
  • @pom9207 I’m so sorry you didn’t get better news or a call back answering your question! Hoping with everything in me that those 3 embabies are absolutely perfect and that you may still have some developing that make it to freeze as well!! 💜
  • @pom9207 FX more develop and are able to go to freeze! I went through the same disappointment when I got the call on day 5. We had 15 fertilize, 12 were on track on day 3 with the other 3 still growing but behind, and then got the call on day 5 that only 3 were able to be biopsied and frozen. I was so heartbroken from that call. Fortunately, another 3 were able to make it to blast on day 6 so we had a total of 6 go to freeze. My RE stops at day 6.

@emeraldduchess GL later this week! Go follies!
