This wedding is at 34 weeks, out of state. Not a bad drive, but still long enough. 😬 I guess I will have to bring it up, but fx it's okay. It's basically just home to see family
@tyrion_ you poor woman!
@blackgirlmagic I feel you! I'm like why is this so hard (like a couple weeks ago when I was still in 1st tri)!??? :s not about to get any easier .... :/
@psychobutthead oh wow. That is Something. But I'm sure he's right, you will be responsible and that's apparently a lot more than you can say for the rest of them. 🤷 I think that's hilarious tho about giving up cokes. Like how many cokes are we drinking here guys!??? So. Painful. To give them up. Lol but that's nice you were able to offer solidarity ;)
Happy Friday everyone!! AFM... I'll be announcing our baby girl this weekend. First to aunt/cousins then on FB on Sunday. I already took a picture of our pup last weekend after his bath surrounded by pink balloons. I'm so excited and partially nervous... I don't know why. I'm 13 weeks and just had my 12 week NT scan on Tuesday, so waiting until 14 weeks won't really make a difference in terms of knowing things are progressing as they should. Anyone else announce/share the news?

@tyrion_ Good luck this morning! Sounds like the run will be the easy part -- hope the kids are kind to you the rest of the day.
@blackgirlmagic Eeeeeekk. After all my poo-pooing of babymoons, I've let myself be talked into a getaway with DH in mid-June, around 31/32 weeks. It requires a flight but is at least in-country, and I went overdue with DS, so I'm just going to not worry until I need to worry I guess.
@riatortillaxo Happy Friday! Enjoy your day off! I'm WFH today so it feels half that way
@ziggymama06 You and all your cute reveal/announcement ideas! I love it and am excited for you. We're still waiting for the blood test results to come back from the NT scan, but I feel like that's kind of an excuse not to announce at this point, because I still don't feel entirely ready. It's time, though, I think. So focus on the excitement and have fun!
I am waiting until Leap Day to go public. We've been plotting our announcement all month and I'm excited to get it done. I use an app on my phone that you take a record a 1 second video or take a photo every day and at the end of the month you can compile those videos and photos to a short video. We've been cryptically hiding hints in clips and we'll post it early on leap day. I'd been working on weight loss so one of the clips is me taking a typical progress picture but you can plainly see a bottle of prenatal vitamins and a box of pregnancy tests in the mirror, I've got wonders through the baby isle at target, a quick pan of the complex my OB office is in that includes their sign. Before the end of the month I'll get a clip of my daughter wearing her "Big Sister" shirt and I think the last clip will be of an ultrasound picture in case people somehow miss the clues. My grandparents are still alive, and once every couple of months I send pictures to their local Walgreens for them to pick up, on that same day I'll send pictures to Walgreens that include pictures of the ultrasounds etc and that will be how I tell them (I think it will be a fun surprise since they will be expecting Valentines pictures and Karate Belt Test pictures and then get an extra surprise in there).
@blackgirlmagic Good reminder on talking to your doctors about how they feel about travel! I know at my first appointment I asked because I am supposed to stand in a wedding an 8 hour drive away when I am 32 weeks and my doctors told me that unless for some reason I'm on bed rest their only request would be that I take a copy of my file and that I stop every 2-3 hours to walk and stretch my legs. It's interesting to hear what other doctors recommend though.
@emiliadkay Yay! Where are you going on your babymoon? When was your bloodwork done? Fx for excellent results!! Aww thanks! I'll post a pic here once I make it official!!
@RedBaramid OMG that sounds so cute!!! You'll have to share it here once you are finished! I love that you'll send pictures for your grandparents to pick up! So adorable! I was originally going to wait until leap day, but decided that I'm excited and since we just had our appt and saw baby girl wiggling around and won't have another appt for 3 weeks, so now is as good a time as any.

I've had a headache for 4 days. Part of it is weather related and sinuses and the other is pregnancy I'm sure. Nothing has worked in getting rid of it and now I'm just praying for a quick death.
@ziggymama06 have fun announcing! I agree that waiting a week really won't make a difference, so might as well just go for it!
@RedBaramid your announcement sounds hilarious/amazing. I used the one second a day app every day last year but haven't don't it at all this year! My last year's video includes some positive pregnancy tests in December, but it was still too early that I didn't want to share it with anyone then!
I just got my claim from insurance for my NIPT test... and amazingly they covered it. wasn't expecting that since I'm young/low risk, so that's a nice surprise..
@wildrainbow Oh no, I'm sorry your headache is lingering this long! That is so terrible. Do you have any peppermint oil? That may help... or ginger I've heard can help alleviate headaches. Hugs
@fitandnerdy Thank you for the reassurance. I was so excited all week and now that it's getting closer I'm getting nervous since I'm not technically out of first tri yet... That's so amazing that your insurance covered the NIPT!!

@RedBaramid I would love to see your announcement if you want to share that with us. It sounds like such a fun announcement. @ziggymama06 that sounds like a really cute announcement. I had a fb friend that recently did a pregnancy announcement with their dog and it was so cute!

@blackgirlmagic my doctor said the typical recommendation is to limit travel after 36 weeks. I have a wedding a few states away at 34 weeks and she actually recommended I fly instead of drive because I'd be sitting for a lot less time! (@BusinessWife I know you mentioned travel at 34 weeks too). Anyways, either way they suggest you stand up and move around every hour or so to avoid risk of clotting.
@ziggymama06 Can't wait to see the photo! NT scan/bloodwork was last Tuesday, and they said about a week to get results so I'm sure it'll be sometime early next. We are going to Willamette Valley! I'm going to go nuts being surrounded by that much good wine and not getting to fully partake, but I'm excited for cool(er than Texas) weather and great food and maybe a massage.
@ziggymama06 and @RedBaramid Your announcements sound SO cute! The little video is super creative, and I used my bulldoggie in my announcements for my first two babes as well, so I LOVE that.
Am I the only weirdo trying to hold out until April to do a cute Easter announcement? I'll be halfway through my pregnancy by then, so is that overkill?
@wildrainbow I'm so sorry about your headache. For awhile I was getting these random migraines. I always knew they were coming, because my vision would grow hazy and start to funnel. Then when my vision cleared, the migraine would hit. So weird, but it was debilitating when it happened. I can't imagine suffering through four straight days with a headache. I hope it gets better soon!
@emiliadkay OMG your trip sounds amazing! I had to google where that was lol... The pictures look beautiful!! Living in the northeast I want to go somewhere warm!! Hoping you get great results with your NIPT and quickly!!
@lachnessmomster An Easter announcement would be so adorable!! If you can hold out, I say go for it! Props to you, I'd never last that long.

@ziggymama06 Excited for your announcement! Share the pic here if you’d like, I’d love to see it! We won’t announce until after our anatomy scan (which is March 20). I need to see him one more time and get a little more reassurance if that’s even a thing for me 😂
@wildrainbow So sorry about your headache. Hope you’re feeling better by now.
@RedBaramid What an awesome reveal! How well thought out. I can’t wait to hear about your grandparent’ reactions.
@blackgirlmagic I have a half next Saturday and in April, a 10k next month, and an 8k in April. Might do a July 4th 5k but it will be more of a jog/walk then I’m sure.
@lachnessmomster Nah, not overkill and I think an Easter announcement would be so sweet Last time around I "announced" the pregnancy to social media (in the sense that I acknowledged it for the first time) at 39 weeks, so you do you.
@lachnessmomster In my social media bubble announcing after the anatomy scan is pretty common. That’s when I’ll announce. It’s a lot of medical folks with too much knowledge (we all worked in NICU), so you aren’t alone.
I've got a moan. I've had a cold that has turned into a chough wich I've had for over three weeks. (It is getting better it's just taking it's sweet time.) But in the last few days I've strained the mucles in my ribs from coughing so much and on Wednesday I'm pretty sure I've torn part of one of the mucles. I was coughing and I felt something pop/give way on my right side. I'm just feeling sorry for myself and having a moan.
@ziggymama06 Enjoy your announcement @wildrainbow I hope your headache sods off soonand I hope you avoid the migraine hangover too. @tyrion_ I need to get back into running I did a 5k about three weeks ago but I havent done any since, I've just got new running shoes too.
@lachnessmomster I will announce around Easter to the general public, but at this point we are telling family and close friends and calling out of town people. I'd sort of like to make it common knowledge at work but other than that, a social media announcement will be around Easter.
@cornichonmam you need to go get that looked at! Hope your cough goes away soon.
I gotta photo bomb. My kid was going to a valentines dance and was complaining nonstop so this is the only photo i got not blurry. I think I did good. Her dress was on clearance $17 and it has pockets!

@tyrion_ you are a beast! I could not imagine doing all that running in the first place, let alone pregnant. You inspire me, but only in my head because I hate running 😂
@cornichonmam I hope that you get it looked at just for peace of mind. I can only imagine how painful that has to be when you cough.

Excited for the announcements! Ours were NOT ready same day, but they are HERE! And I have 50 envelopes ready, still have 50+ more to go. I have the stamps, the address labels came in, and I think sticker seals should come in today! But most of the family we see on a semi-regular basis probably knows by now.
So glad we told FIL at his birthday party, because then he had to have open heart surgery the other day. :s glad he knew that and had the new baby in mind, and his other grandbabies, as he went in...
@blackgirlmagic@psychobutthead It's ok, it is getting better it's just painfull and annoying. Both my parents are pharmacists so I'll always ring them with my medical woes and they will let me know what I can take and if I need to see the GP.
@wildrainbow Thank you! They won't let the baby up due to a flu ban, and of course now she's all sniffly anyway. DH is headed down to visit this evening... Fx he's feeling okay when he sees him. He's been struggling with congestion since getting the breathing tube out, and it hurts to cough. :( He's still in ICU as far as I know.
I found the cutest little sleepers on sale in a 2 pack for 4.50 from target. Would be super sweet for a rainbow baby. They are zipper cotton perfect for summer babes.
@tyrion_ I am in awe of you! Seriously, you go girl!
@cornichonmam Oh no... I hope you feel better. A friend of mine is a bit further along than us and had the same thing with a terrible cough and pulled her lung/rib area. Her dr put her on meds and recommended she rest and do literally nothing for 3-4 days. I hope you can take it easy and feel better!
@BusinessWife Yay for your announcements!! Wishing your FIL a speedy recovery ❤

@maelove H got up and took care of the kiddos yesterday, and brought me coffee. I got enjoy the coffee then shower uninterrupted and it was honestly the best thing in the world.
Guys, my SIL is near the transition phase of labor right now. Receiving updates via MIL. I can't stop thinking about her. I can't believe we'll all be experiencing the same in just a few short months in one way or another. I'm having all the sappy birth feels today! 😭❤️ This will be my first niece!
@lachnessmomster Congratulations Aunt!! So exciting. Hoping everything goes smoothly.
It is an unseasonably warm and sunny day here. Once my son wakes up, I'm hoping we can go on a nice little walk. It's making me excited for spring although I know it will be rainy this week and cold next weekend so I should just savor today. I put my husband to work this weekend building a closet system for our hallway closet so we can make better use of the space. With another baby on the way, I'm really trying to get things organized and maximize the space in our little house!
@riatortillaxo The weather here has been pretty nice the past couple of days, too! We're also expecting rain this week, so I took advantage yesterday and took the kids to Kentucky Down Under to pet the kangaroos and spend some time out in the sunshine before we're stuck inside again. Also, my groundhog (mine because he lives by my house - lol) woke up from his winter's nap! I saw him prancing around today looking skinnier than usual. 😆 Spring is on its way!
