Raves/Rants: rant- The Bump has been awful! Nothing was loading for me all weekend. Rave- I'm started to feel better and have some energy back! I had a productive weekend. I'm going to talk to my principal today to tell her about the pregnancy. That will be a relief. I'm eager to start telling more people.
Questions:
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? Valentine's day is my husband's birthday! So he picks the dinner and we usually have a chill night. It always falls right around the midyear conference time at school which is a bit chaotic.
How are you feeling? I've not been the greatest. I dunno if nausea is making a comeback or if heartburn is trying to kill me or what. It's not been a pleasant weekend.
Raves/Rants: Rant: I've lost my appetite, which is usually a precursor to Cholestasis and I am not a fan. It's too early for me to be getting these symptoms. Yesterday I realized I didnt eat until 3PM. Not the best.
Questions:
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? H is always working on Vday, so we never do anything. We try to get each other a card, but that is about it.
Oh that is so fun that you get to celebrate his birthday in such a special way! @riatortillaxo
ETA @wildrainbow I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well. Fx it passes for you soon, and doesn't have to be a sign of anything worse already. :/
EDD/weeks+days: Aug 21 / 12+3
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green
Baby is the size of a(n): Lime, on the way to Peach!
Upcoming appointments: NT scan Wednesday
How are you feeling? Home sick with DD today... :(
Raves/Rants: Well, getting close to just calling it with work. Not sure if I will take FMLA, or STD, or an unpaid personal leave or what, so I will talk with those people today. So not sure if that's a rant or a rave, but anyway it looks like DH won't be there for our scan appointment, which is fine I guess. But it was actually kinda nice how he was there for them all pretty much with DD.
Questions:
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? Not really, we will hopefully go out to dinner over the weekend, and hopefully he will come home with flowers. :) I will maybe try to bake a special treat since we're home today, and then after our scan, I'll have to order our paper announcements!!!! Not sure if I will end up including the US pic or not tho, so we'll see... I was thinking about wearing a cutesy tee shirt under my blaser Friday to come out at work maybe. 🤷
@BusinessWife Fingers crossed for a good NT appointment! Sorry your H can't be there
EDD/weeks+days: 8/28.. 11w3d
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Team Green
Baby is the size of a(n): Lime (or a Brussel sprout depending on the app... and those seem like different sizes to me lol)
Upcoming appointments: Next Tuesday for the NT scan!
How are you feeling? Fatigue has pretty much gone away
Raves/Rants: Raves - Today is my birthday! AND I got my NIPT results back this morning! I only had the blood drawn last Tuesday and I had the results by 8am this morning, so it wasn't even a full week! Everything is low risk and it's the best birthday present ever!!! No rants because I'm too happy today
Questions: none
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? Since my birthday is so close to Valentine's Day, we don't really do anything. I prefer to go big for my birthday
@wildrainbow My nausea peaked again over the weekend too. So far this morning it's not been as bad. I hope your Monday is better too.
@BusinessWife Good luck with talking to work! It's a big step and it feels so nice to get it out in the open and start knowing what all the options really are. I hear you on the appointments though, DH was able to come to almost all the ones I had with our first, unless we drag our kid to the appointments with us this time, that's gonna be a big not happening for this baby and these appointments.
EDD/weeks+days: Aug 16/ 13+1
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding Out
Baby is the size of a(n): Lemon
Upcoming appointments: Nothing on the books yet (ugh) but worst case scenario the last week of the month we are going in to a private pay ultrasound place to get a peek since HR is dumb and slow.
How are you feeling?: Nausea was a little rough this weekend, but this morning is better. I got out of the apartment for the first time in a while and didn't get car sick for the first time in the last 2 months so I call that a win.
Raves/Rants: Raves ahead: Good friends of ours are also expecting in August, that's fun I have someone to comiserate with with a similar due date. Also it SNOWED! In North Georgia it snowed! I've missed snow so much, the quiet it brings.. the smell.. (first winter out of IL for me). I legit cried just sitting at the window with my daughter watching the snow this weekend.
Questions:
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house?: The only tradition we have is my husband ignores the holiday almost completely. I told him that when our DD makes a card for him he has to be happy and excited for it though. (I'm gonna order her some flowers to be delivered it will make her super happy! )
Upcoming appointments: Had one today and heard the HB!! 160bpm. I tried to hold it together but completely cried. I have PGAL brain hardcore.
How are you feeling? Emotional. nauseated. exhausted. My brain seems to have stopped working.
Raves/Rants: rant- There's a lady in my office who's pissing me off. rave- DH continues to do all of the heavy lifting around the house.
Questions: none this week.
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? Not really. I haven't gotten a card yet and not sure if I should. We are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary in the Spring and I'm thinking we're saving all of our energy for that.
How are you feeling? I’ve been feeling really good lately, happy to be in the second trimester and feeling like myself.
Raves/Rants: My birthday was this pst weekend and we had a really nice time. Went out to dinner on Friday and had family visit from out of town on Saturday. Then yesterday we went to my parents house and my mom made bagels and cake.
Questions:
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? We don’t have any traditions or plans. We will get each other cards and maybe order in some takeout. Something low-key.
How are you feeling? Terrible today. I'm working from home as my stomach is just way to upset to go into work and I'm incredibly nauseous, ugh.
Raves/Rants: I learned over the weekend that I can longer rush to get ready to leave the house like I used to pre-pg. I was taking my time having my morning coffee thinking I can rush, but no. Got super weak and nauseous by the end of my rushing. Will not be doing that again.
Questions:
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? Hubs and I are going to dinner at the venue where we got married... there is a restaurant attached and the food is amazing. We are also getting massages on Sunday and I can.not.wait!!!
@riatortillaxo Good luck speaking with your principal today! Glad you are feeling better!
@wildrainbow Oh no! I hope you feel better and the Cholestasis stays away.
@BusinessWife Good luck speak with your work today!! I hope YD feels better soon! Baking sounds lovely and I would totally rock a cute shirt under your blazer to share the news.
@fitandnerdy OMG Yayyyy!!! So glad to hear you got great results... and have a wonderful rest of your birthday!!
@RedBaramid I'm so happy you were able to enjoy some snow.. you can keep it though lol... How wonderful to have a friend due at the same time as you!!!
@radiohd18 So glad you had a wonderful appointment today!!!
@wildrainbow I have so many questions about the cholestasis. I recently googled a TMI symptom I had and this came up. I've been pretty itchy lately (lower back and legs) but no rash. I also tend to get hives a lot when I am pregnant but think this more hormonal. From what I read, they say the itching is "severe". Is that how you would describe it? Did you know it was a problem before you were diagnosed? I have also had a decrease in appetite and but haven't seen that as a symptom. You mentioned you're concerned about your appetite as this was a sign of onset for you. Did you Dr say that is a pre-cursor? Sorry for the word vomit. I know you're not a Dr, but just looking for experience from someone who had it.
How are you feeling? Mostly good. All MS has subsided. My hips hurt when I lay down and I am peeing more frequently... so less sleep.
Raves/Rants: Rave - I've been feeling sporadic movements from the baby since ~12 weeks I had the same timing when I was PG with DD. Rant - Still no closer to settling on a boy name. FWIW, we don't find out for another month so we have tine... but still.
Questions:
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? H buys DD flowers, a card, and a little gift. It's not a huge ordeal but it's very sweet and he asks her to be his Valentine! We are going out with friends on Saturday, so I guess that qualifies as our date
@kgrgreen The big thing with Cholestasis is that it is pretty rare and almost always onsets around 34 weeks. It is characterized by severe itching, usually the bottom of the feet and palms of the hands. I would mention the itchiness to your dr, but honestly, I would say you may be developing PUPS or just have extra sensitive skin, especially since you say you get hives. I develop Cholestasis late in the second tri which is pretty much unheard of, and mine effects my liver, which is why I lose my appetite. I've had Cholestasis with each of my live birth pregnancies. Once you have it, each pregnancy after has a high chance of developing it. I have about a 5% chance of NOT getting it.
I wouldn't be surprised if your dr doesnt even mention Cholestasis as most don't even deal with it or know what it is. Based on what you described, it doesn't sound like Cholestasis, but I would definitely mention it to your dr. Feel free to PM me if you have more questions, I'm happy to answer them.
Upcoming appointments: Feb 17 for a routine prenatal visit
How are you feeling? Better overall but I’m exhausted today. If I stay up past 10pm I’m useless for the rest of the day.
Raves/Rants: DS has been really rough with me lately. Climbing all over me, trying to hit me or throwing things at me when he gets mad. From past experience I know it’s a phase that will pass but it’s hard not to lose my patience with him.
Questions: Was anyone else excited about Parasite winning big at the Oscars last night? It was my favorite movie of the year.
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? We’ve been all over the place in terms of whether we exchange gifts, but we always do a nice dinner. This year we are going to an amazing restaurant that has super fancy, cutting edge food.
wildrainbow is that something you can speak with your doctor about? BusinessWife in your perfect world, what would you want to do work wise? SAH or go back full or part time? fitandnerdy HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Do you have any fun birthday plans? @annabanana051416 Happy belated birthday! kgrgreen I've been feeling what I assume is movement from the baby as well, but I haven't said anything out loud because I don't want to seem like the crazy attention seeking pregnant lady. I did have one strong movement on my right side this past weekend and I thought to myself "well that was rude" . I won't call it until I can show my husband movement that he can feel/see.
EDD/weeks+days: August 2/ 15+1
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue
Baby is the size of a(n): Pear
Upcoming appointments: Thursday!
How are you feeling? Feeling great!
Raves/Rants: But I do need my insomnia to kick rocks. Oh and I also mud butt...that's what I told my husband to call me from now on. Nothing is every solid that leaves me. I plan to speak to my doctor about it on Thursday.
Questions: Nope
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? We don't celebrate Valentine's Day in our house. I plan to make these cute little treats for daycare, but that's about it.
Married: August 2012
TTC #1: July 2015
BFP 1: October 30, 2015; EDD: July 6, 2016- Team Pink
@blackgirlmagic He already knows. I will probably start getting blood work done once a month to keep an eye on my liver and my bile acids. The big thing with the lack of appetite is that there isn't anything I can do. I guess silver lining (🤷♀️) is I was overweight starting this pregnancy so baby will not be losing anything. We monitor everything closely and I try to force myself to eat.
@blackgirlmagic and @kgrgreen I felt a strong movement this weekend too but I kind of wrote it off because I assumed it was too early. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t just gas though...
Happy Birthday! @fitandnerdy And happy belated! @annabanana051416
@RedBaramid congrats on the SNOW! That is so awesome. That sounds fun sending flowers to DD to enjoy, super sweet ❤️
@ziggymama06 ugh, yes. DD is finally napping so I guess I'm going to have to bit the bullet and call very shortly here... 🙄 But it will be an important first step to actually making my exit, so I need to remember that and just do it. I hope you get your nipt results NOW! You've waited long enough
@wildrainbow Thank you so much for your response! I really appreciate you sharing your experience. I'm probably just overly aware of cholestasis now and jumping to that conclusion because I googled it when you first posted. I had never heard of it before and now my hypochondriac self is self-diagnosing
@blackgirlmagic and @gomillis I'll be the crazy attention seeking pregnant lady hahah We are all 15+1 so I wouldn't be surprised if it is a little movement. I've had definite gas and definite rolling.
@BusinessWife I am so jealous that you are getting ready to call it with work. I'm calling it myself, but only in my mind 😂
@riatortillaxo I need to tell my principal and my lead at work as well. I didn't have to do it with DS bc I was a contract SLP and they didn't 'own' me so I didn't bother until I was showing so I'm not really sure how to go about it. "Hey there, just wanted to pop my head in and tell you I'm pregnant...welp, see ya later!" But for real, I'm avoiding it because my due date is a week before school starts and I plan on taking a longer maternity leave and I'm honestly not prepared to have the whole, "Congrats!! Sooooo....when are you coming back??" conversation.
EDD/weeks+days: 14 weeks today...officially in the 2nd trimester, whoot, whoot!!
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue
Baby is the size of a: Peach
Upcoming appointments: next week
How are you feeling? Pretty good, hopefully I will continue the energy increase now that I'm in my 2nd tri!
Raves/Rants: rant- I'm hoping that my energy increase will also improve my productivity bc right now I legit don't feel like doing anything😂....laundry-not folded, dishes-gross in the sink, taxes-not done, budget-who cares, work-don't sign me up for any of it haha
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? We will be getting Ds's stuff together for his valentines party at school, and I wouldn't hate to have some chocolate covered strawberries from Publix from DH.
@wildrainbow That sounds miserable, I'm sorry you have to deal with that.
@riatortillaxo I hope your conversation with your boss went well. I'm gearing up to tell mine too. I'd like to tell her this week since we're on vacation next week, but of course she wasn't in the office today. I have no idea how to even bring it up lol
@gsmomplus1 I'm in the same boat of wanting to take an extended leave and not knowing how to bring it up. I'm an SLP too and I usually work summers, but obviously won't be doing that this year with baby coming in the middle of the extended school year program. So I'll be out from the end of June (34 weeks) until after Christmas ideally. I am dragging my feet about it but I need to get it done so that my office can come up with a plan for my caseload.
EDD/weeks+days: 14+2
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out
Baby is the size of a(n): baby chick
Upcoming appointments: Feb 24th for a routine appointment
How are you feeling? I honestly feel great. I feel like myself again.
Raves/Rants: Rave - We have finally started telling people and while it's weird to no longer have this big secret, it's relieving to let it be out in the open. Rant - I woke up this morning with back pain, and it's stayed with me for most of today. It's not bad or really painful, it's just annoying. So I guess I get to figure out how to deal with that now.
Questions:
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? We usually exchange cards, and then go out to eat the next day when the restaurants aren't super packed. This year DH has a Valentine's work event on Friday night, so I got to rent a dress from Rent the Runway and am super excited to get dressed up and go out, especially since I feel so much better!
Upcoming appointments: Just had my OB appointment this morning, 1st tri scan next Tuesday
How are you feeling? Good. Mostly back to normal, and now just need to get exercise back on track and my carb loading under control. I managed to gain 5 pounds in 4 weeks so...whoops.
Raves/Rants: Rant - work is super busy this week. Rave - work should be super chill next week. Just got to hang in there!
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? No traditions, and no big plans. Our anniversary is in January, so between Christmas gifts and anniversary we're just sort of over it by February. We did "celebrate" last Friday during daycare PNO, watching the debate with takeout pizza. With wine, it would have been perfect.
@wednesdaygirl1019 I feel like a work event on Valentine's is bold. I'm glad you're looking forward to it, and hope YH's coworkers are a lot more fun than mine!
@gsmomplus1 I think sometimes you've gotta lean into the unproductivity. If I resist and feel guilty about things it tends to hang on longer, but if I decide screw it, I'm giving in the rest of this week and I'll try again next, it becomes an actual break that I can then move past. Just a thought from your enabling internet friend
How are you feeling? Okay overall! Still tired but the nausea has gotten a lot better. Definitely more moody than typically. Feeling a little bad for my family right now 😬
Raves/Rants: well the bump app wasn't working for 4 or 5 days! So that was annoying. My work also verified that I don't qualify for FMLA so I'm not sure what maternity leave I'll get. I have to submit my request to the board of education and see what they say.
Questions:
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? I get my daughter a gift and tape hearts on her door listing the reasons I love her. We are also going out to dinner and then going to a kids Valentine's party.
Married July 2014 DD born June 2016 Second due August 2020 (team green!)
@emiliadkay I don't love that he has to work on Valentine's Day, but it's much better than when he had to work on New Year's Eve. That sucked (for 3 years in a row...). DH works at a radio station, so the station is doing a Valentine's Party for its listeners. It's at a beautiful winery and they have delicious food and a live band for dancing, so it's not terrible other than having to spend my Friday night there. Picture 200 people aged approximately 50-75 dancing their hearts out to 50s and 60s music. The people watching aspect is amazing.
Upcoming appointments: I need to book my 16w and whooping cough vaccine appointments ASAP.
How are you feeling? The nausea has got a lot better but I've had a mild but unending cold that has turned into a dry raspy cough, I've had for 3 weeks and counting. DS had it first and of course sheared, he's had it 4 weeks and counting.
Raves/Rants: Raves — I'm loving my new Seraphine maternity jeans. Rants — We are having our utility room demolished and rebuilt, work is starting on Wednesday. Work hasn't even started and it's been hard enough to get all the tradesmen here when we need them.
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? This is mine and my husbands 10th Valentine's Day together. We haven't celebrated before, were not going to start now.
@gomillis I'm super excited about Parasite such a breath of fresh air at the Oscars. I haven't seen it yet but I have seen Snowpeicer and I'm looking forward to seeing Parasite.
How are you feeling? Mostly normal. Lots of stretching and pulling in my uterus lately.
Raves/Rants: I caved and got a doppler. I was having anxiety (stupid PGAL brain) and listening to his HB was instantly calming. It was so helpful. I plan to limit myself to once a week and skip the weeks I have an appointment.
Questions: None.
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? We get the kids a card and a treat but don’t really do anything for each other. Our dating anniversary is the 17th so we’ve always celebrated that day with dinner or a special meal vs the 14th. This year will be 14 years together!
@kgrgreen if you continue to be itchy get a hold of me somehow. My sister was very itchy during her last 2 pregnancies. She had to go take oatmeal baths at 3am all the time because she couldn't sleep. A midwife finally recommended a homeopathic pill from the whole foods store and it made the itchiness so much better and she could sleep again! I don't know what it was called and bump doesn't notify me very well when I'm tagged but PM me or something if your itching gets really bad and you want to try it!
EDD/weeks+days: August 20. 12w4d Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: debating finding out or team green. We've done both Baby is the size of a(n): plum I think Upcoming appointments: Wednesday! How are you feeling? Rough with nausea, but it could possibly be getting better Raves/Rants: I'm excited about my appointment this Wednesday Questions: GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? I usually get my husband beer for Valentine's Day.
It went well! I am well protected at work with a thorough contract and pretty good job security. It's just nerve wracking to say it out loud and make it real. My principal is a mom too so I have to believe that she gets it even if she can be a hard ass sometimes. @gsmomplus1 I went in very prepared! I had a while list of things we need to work out before the start of next year to make sure it all goes smoothly without me there. I think that was helpful.
Upcoming appointments: early March. Had my NT scan last week all went well!
How are you feeling? Overall pretty good.
Raves/Rants: Raves: Ben and Jerry’s ice cream rants: I’m going to need to get some new bras soon
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? Kroger had lobster tails on sale so I got a few of those. Dh normally gets flowers for me and a smaller bouquet for dd.
Upcoming appointments: Had one today! Next is the anatomy scan and another appointment in early March.
How are you feeling? Fine. Still tired
Raves/Rants: Appointment went great today. My sister watched my children. I ran by Target afterward. Shopping without a cart and quickly trying on clothes, what a concept! Haha. And then I treated myself to Panda Express for lunch. Rant - (total first world problem). They asked if I wanted sauce on my teriyaki chicken or on the side I said on the side. And I didn't get it at all. And of course, I didn't check the bag either until I'd left.
Questions: None
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? Not really. I always get H a card. Sometimes, he remembers to get me one. Or get me chocolate. I think I'm going to get him a new electric kettle. Ours broke, and he really liked it because he has hot drinks all the time. So, I mean, it's not a real gift because it's something for the house and I'd get another one anyway, but still, its thoughtful. We don't go hog wild for Valentines gifts. We probably won't go out that day (he won't get home from work very early anyway), but I hope to set up a date for us sometime soon. #1 is old enough to color and maybe use scissors, so I am planning to help her make a valentine for daddy.
Upcoming appointments: Feb 25 - prenatal appointment and my doctor will be referring me to a obgyn. 🇨🇦
How are you feeling? Today, I have felt the best I have felt in a long time.
Raves/Rants: My gf and I went snowshoeing yesterday afternoon. It was such a nice workout, It wiped me out! I slept like a baby, maybe that’s why I feel so great today?
Rants: I had my 12 w scan and bloodwork done 01/23 and have not heard of any results. I guess no news is good news? I’ll find out in a couple weeks I suppose.
Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? No traditions and no major plans this year for us.
I am planning on making homemade heart shaped pancakes and bacon at some point! DH will just be coming off of night shift, breakfast for dinner is something we do while he’s on nights.
@blackgirlmagic we went out to dinner at my favorite pizza place and got cupcakes after! The pizza place is BYOB and I think this is the first time I've been there and didn't participate in the bottle of wine the pizza was just as delicious washed down with water
@coldlife it's so sad when they forget something in the order one time chipotle forgot my guac and I wrote a sad tweet about it and they sent me a coupon for a free meal!
@emiliadkay I've fallen pretty far off my exercise routine.. hoping I can get back to it this week!
@RedBaramid I was in north GA this past weekend and the snow was wild and unexpected (I definitely packed for 70 degree weather... what was I thinking?!)
@ziggymama06 I keep refreshing the sex thread to see if your results have come in... FX for tomorrow
@gomillis I was really excited for Parasite... what a wild ride of a movie. That said, Little Women was my fave this year.
@blackgirlmagic@kgrgreen@gomillis I know it's really too early for me to be feeling anything, but every now and then I'll feel something and wonder if it might be baby. what does it feel like at first??
EDD/weeks+days: Aug 7 / 14w3d
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue
Baby is the size of a(n): A peach! And tall as a crayon
Upcoming appointments: Feb 26
Raves/Rants: Rant: I was in my cousin's wedding this weekend, and it was fun, but being in the wedding party was really exhausting and I felt like I didn't get to see family members that weren't in the wedding. We spent 6.5 hours getting ready, 3 hours taking pictures before, and then 45 minutes taking pictures after. By the time the ceremony and pics were over, I just wanted to lay down and not talk to anyone. Rave: On the upside, it was so good to see everyone this weekend, and one of my other cousins (who is one of my best friends) and I stayed in town an extra night to get a little one-on-one time, and that was a good way to recharge and cap off the weekend.
Questions: Any STM+ have tips for being comfy on your feet for long stretches? I'm an event planner (with a few big, multi-day events coming up) and my physical exhaustion from the wedding weekend made me nervous about being able to handle all the standing/running around the job requires.
How are you feeling? I've been feeling really good, but this morning I was super nauseous and dealt with heartburn all day. I also am just starting to feel more physically uncomfortable (sore when I wake up, uncomfortable in my clothes, etc.), and then I feel a little guilty for not being more of a trooper. I think I just need to go easy on myself as I start to transition into a new phase of the pregnancy.
Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? I'll be solo on Valentine's Day this year and plan to make myself a good dinner and watch PS I Still Love You
@rivercitynik Little Women was a close second for me! It was my favorite book growing up, and I thought this adaptation was phenomenal.
At first, the baby’s movements feel like little flutters or bubbles. I’ve only felt what I thought was movement once with this one, but I’m looking forward to feeling his little kicks soon!
@charhar0820 Aww, your Valentine's breakfast for dinner sounds so cute! MH and I enjoy cooking breakfast for dinner sometimes too. My family used to make "breakfast pizza" every NYE.
@coldlife@WishesSheCouldCook@tyrion_@samsonator@gsmomplus1@blackgirlmagic@kgrgreen@RedBaramid It's so sweet hearing the different ways you get your kids involved for Valentine's Day. My mom used to get my siblings and I something small each year like a Pez Head. I think it's a sweet reminder to them that the holiday can celebrate familial love and friendships too instead of just romantic love.
@wednesdaygirl1019 Hope your back pain goes away soon. Have fun at the work event dance! It's unfortunate YH has to work on Valentine's evening, but good thing it's something fun that S.O.'s can be a part of.
EDD/weeks+days: August 25, 11+6
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out, hopefully very soon! I got my NIPT bloodwork done on the 31st and the phlebotomist said to allow 7 business days. So, tomorrow will officially be the 7th! But I've also felt pretty calm about it, so if it's late I won't mind. I tend to get more anxious for my monthly appointments to get here.
Baby is the size of a(n): bee hummingbird
Upcoming appointments: Thursday, 12 week apt. I'm not really sure what they'll do besides take my blood and make me pee in a cup, but I'm having hubs come anyway because I'm hoping they'll let us hear the heartbeat since we've only seen it so far.
How are you feeling? Not great. I woke up really congested and just got worse throughout the day. I've been sneezing and coughing and my throat is sore. No fever so far, so I'm hoping it's just a cold and not the flu which has been going around my school like crazy. If I don't get fever/body aches, I'll try to keep teaching because I'm already taking one day off this week for my OB apt. Still a bit nervous because two of my teammates at work got the flu and didn't actually have a fever until the third day of sneezing/sore throat.
Raves/Rants: Rave-- Hubs and I finally cleaned the house yesterday! Rant-- above
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? We don't really have any interesting traditions. MH will probably get me flowers and we'll get each other a card. We may do a small gift. Our plans are to stay in that night because everywhere will be crowded. Instead of eating out, we'll cook a fun dinner together. We also have four family members with birthdays within a week of Valentine's Day, so we will probably have a family get together this weekend.
EDD/weeks+days: Aug 31 / 11w 1d, although I keep measuring ahead on ultrasounds, so somewhere between Aug 26-31
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green!
Baby is the size of a(n): Brussels sprout (like a PP above I am confused by some apps saying a lime?! They must mean one of those mini lines you put in a corona!! CRL at this point is 4-5cm, I just had a US 3 days ago...
Upcoming appointments: Ultrasound today at the hospital to investigate my continuously spotting (which has actually stopped the last few days *knock on wood* Hope it stays away!)
How are you feeling? My constant nausea disappeared last week so I’m feeling much better! The fatigue is still crippling though. Think I have my nearly 11 month old, terrible night sleeper to blame as much for that as this fetus though!!
Raves/Rants: Rave: I get to see baby again today at my US and I’m excited! Rant: We shared our news with my husband’s family and my sisters over the weekend but my parents are away and have crappy WiFi so every time we’ve talked on FaceTime over the last 2-3 days we have poor connection. So I haven’t been able to tell them yet. Ugh.
Questions: Nothing I can think of!
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? My bday is tomorrow so we don’t make a big deal about Valentines Day (lots of Feb bdays here!!!) We will go out with friends this Saturday for my bday so that’s enough for me! I buy my daughters something small, and my husband some chocolate.
At first, the baby’s movements feel like little flutters or bubbles. I’ve only felt what I thought was movement once with this one, but I’m looking forward to feeling his little kicks soon!
^ wss Mine feels like your stomach drops on a roller coaster or when a hill takes you by surprise. But also with DD, it felt like a little Mario Bro was in there. It would be small, constant flutters of arms or legs or something moving around!
Upcoming appointments: Yesterday and again on the 21st!
How are you feeling? Nausea is all but gone, but I'm always exhausted but can never go to sleep at night
Raves/Rants: Saw the High risk OB who in the span of 15 minutes talked to me like I was 15, gave me only worst case scenarios and then not so subtly hinted my husband wasn't the father. Now we have to wait for another round of blood work before knowing our appointment arrangements because they are reluctantly ordering blood work for my husband.
Questions: Anyone else announcing on Valentines day?
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? Well I hate flowers so probably just relaxing and my husband will still go in to work. We are announcing our pregnancy on Friday morning!
Re: Check-in w/o Feb 10th
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: green
Baby is the size of a(n): lime
Upcoming appointments: Wednesday
How are you feeling? Much better
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue
Baby is the size of a(n): Lemon
Upcoming appointments: Feb. 27th
@wildrainbow I hope you start feeling better
@BusinessWife Fingers crossed for a good NT appointment! Sorry your H can't be there
EDD/weeks+days: 8/28.. 11w3d
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Team Green
Baby is the size of a(n): Lime (or a Brussel sprout depending on the app... and those seem like different sizes to me lol)
Upcoming appointments: Next Tuesday for the NT scan!
How are you feeling? Fatigue has pretty much gone away
Raves/Rants:
Raves - Today is my birthday!
(I'm gonna order her some flowers to be delivered it will make her super happy! )

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out - hopefully I get my NIPT results today!! I'm going crazy over here!
Baby is the size of a(n): lime
Upcoming appointments: genetic counselor/3d scan 2/18

Baby is the size of a(n): Eggo waffle
Upcoming appointments: Feb 24th
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue
Baby is the size of a(n): eggo waffle
BusinessWife in your perfect world, what would you want to do work wise? SAH or go back full or part time?
fitandnerdy HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Do you have any fun birthday plans?
@annabanana051416 Happy belated birthday!
kgrgreen I've been feeling what I assume is movement from the baby as well, but I haven't said anything out loud because I don't want to seem like the crazy attention seeking pregnant lady. I did have one strong movement on my right side this past weekend and I thought to myself "well that was rude" . I won't call it until I can show my husband movement that he can feel/see.
EDD/weeks+days: August 2/ 15+1

And happy belated!
@blackgirlmagic and @gomillis I'll be the crazy attention seeking pregnant lady hahah We are all 15+1 so I wouldn't be surprised if it is a little movement. I've had definite gas and definite rolling.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green
@fitandnerdy @annabanana051416 Happy birthday!
@gomillis @kgrgreen You ladies with eggo-sized babies are making me hungry.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green
Baby is the size of a(n): lime
Upcoming appointments: Feb 27!
DD born June 2016
Second due August 2020 (team green!)
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Team Green
Baby is the size of a(n): Lemon
@kgrgreen If other people are feeling movement at 15w, I’m inclined to believe that’s what I’m feeling too!
@emiliadkay yeah the eggo thing on the bump today was really amusing! Now I just keep imagining a waffle in there. But it also made me want one!
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Team Blue
Baby is the size of a(n): a house mouse
Upcoming appointments: Not until the 26th
EDD/weeks+days: August 20. 12w4d
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: debating finding out or team green. We've done both
Baby is the size of a(n): plum I think
Upcoming appointments: Wednesday!
How are you feeling? Rough with nausea, but it could possibly be getting better
Raves/Rants: I'm excited about my appointment this Wednesday
Questions:
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? I usually get my husband beer for Valentine's Day.
@gsmomplus1 I went in very prepared! I had a while list of things we need to work out before the start of next year to make sure it all goes smoothly without me there. I think that was helpful.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: pink
Baby is the size of a(n): Pokémon card
Upcoming appointments: early March. Had my NT scan last week all went well!
How are you feeling? Overall pretty good.
Raves/Rants:
Raves: Ben and Jerry’s ice cream
rants: I’m going to need to get some new bras soon
GTKY: Any Valentine's Day plans or traditions in your house? Kroger had lobster tails on sale so I got a few of those. Dh normally gets flowers for me and a smaller bouquet for dd.
Craft Blog
EDD/weeks+days: Aug 3 / 15w 🙌🏼
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green
Baby is the size of a(n): Navel Orange
@fitandnerdy and @AnnaBanana0327 happy birthday!
@ziggymama06 I keep refreshing the sex thread to see if your results have come in... FX for tomorrow
@gomillis I was really excited for Parasite... what a wild ride of a movie. That said, Little Women was my fave this year.
@blackgirlmagic @kgrgreen @gomillis I know it's really too early for me to be feeling anything, but every now and then I'll feel something and wonder if it might be baby. what does it feel like at first??
I'll be solo on Valentine's Day this year and plan to make myself a good dinner and watch PS I Still Love You
@coldlife @WishesSheCouldCook @tyrion_ @samsonator @gsmomplus1 @blackgirlmagic @kgrgreen @RedBaramid
It's so sweet hearing the different ways you get your kids involved for Valentine's Day. My mom used to get my siblings and I something small each year like a Pez Head. I think it's a sweet reminder to them that the holiday can celebrate familial love and friendships too instead of just romantic love.
@fitandnerdy and @AnnaBanana0327 Happy birthday!!

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out
Baby is the size of a(n): Lemon
