DD/weeks+days: 12w1d Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Pink Baby is the size of a(n): Hacky sack Upcoming appointments: Friday! How are you feeling? Tired! My typical PGAL week of appt anxiety is right on time Raves/Rants: I busted out my maternity pillow this week Questions:
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer?
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: I will definitely be finding out - fingers crossed for baby blue. I have 5 nieces and would be the only sister in the family with a boy!
Baby is the size of a(n): Lime
Upcoming appointments: I have an appointment today with my OB's office - blood work and ultrasound. Last ultrasound at 9 weeks, can't wait to see how he/she's grown!
How are you feeling? Anxious. A lot of my symptoms have been subsiding, and while I am grateful, I also know I am not out of the woods just yet. Hope baby is doing OK in there and will be a huge relief to hear the heartbeat. This is my first pregnancy so no prior history of miscarriage, but I get nervous regardless.
Raves/Rants: My face is breaking out like a 12 year old. Hoping it clears up soon!
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? I didn't attend a superbowl party, but made some fresh popcorn and it was delish! Kettle corn is my favorite.
Upcoming appointments: February 17 for my 16 week visit
How are you feeling? Nausea is definitely getting better! My main complaint is that relaxin is giving me a lot of hip pain.
Raves/Rants: I started prenatal yoga last week. The class is awesome and it’s actually a good workout.
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? I’m a big fan of cheesy, mayonnaisey dips. I make one with Brie and artichokes that you bake until it’s warm and bubbly. Sooo good.
@WishesSheCouldCook Hope Friday comes quickly and that you have a reassuring and perfectly boring appointment!
How are you feeling?: Still tired, nausea is a bit up where it had been down. My biggest complaint is my entire abdomen feels bloated, not just my lower belly/pelvic area.. the whole thing feels huge. I can't tell if I'm starting to show or just fat and gaining some weight.. but I constantly feel like I've ate too much now.
Raves/Rants: I think my child is almost through the flu, which is nice. I'm starting to struggle not passively mentioning details to my grandmother during our weekly calls that may give away the pregnancy. The whole family doesn't know yet, but of course things are going on that are very related to the fact that I'm pregnant so I'm having to scramble on the phone and say weird things.
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer?: I usually love buffalo chicken dip, but the idea of chicken still makes my stomach churn.. so yesterday I was happy for cheese pizza.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out....I had my NIPT on 1/23 and if my phone does not ring today with the results, a crazy preggo lady might roll up to the office and wait by the fax machine 🤷🏼♀️
Baby is the size of a: Lemon
Upcoming appointments: 2/20
How are you feeling? Much better than I was! Nausea was no joke this pregnancy! I'm still super tired at the end of the day, so much so that my poor DH and DS think I've taken up residency on the couch....and I have.
Raves/Rants: See above 😂
Questions: For those who have already had their NIPT, how long did it take for your results to come in? Obviously I'm obsessed!
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? Any type of dips!! I usually like wings too but meat and tomato sauce have been an absolute no-go so far.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out at anatomy scan
Baby is the size of a(n): lemon
Upcoming appointments: Feb 17, routine appt
How are you feeling? I have a headache today but otherwise feeling pretty good. I had about 24 hours of nausea last week and it was the only nausea I’ve had. I worried that morning sickness might be starting at the end of first tri, but thankfully it subsided, so I think it may have been the same bug my son had. I’ve also had some insomnia and mood swings.
Raves/Rants: Last week was so busy, I barely logged onto the bump and the app wasn’t working for me. My son had several days of vomiting last week but no fever and otherwise seemed fine, he just couldn’t keep food down. He seems much better now though.
Questions:
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? Nachos
How are you feeling? Good! Energy seems to be coming back, nausea is better
Rants/Raves: Visited a friend Saturday who's little one turns 5 weeks old today---it was so cool to snuggle him and talk to her about what it's been like since baby's been here. Learned a lot and grateful to be able to pick her brain !
GTKY: Best super bowl appetizer? A friend brought over Italian & Pesto sliders, YUMMMMM!! pinned it this morning for future use
Upcoming appointments: 2/7 and 2/24. I had a Cerclage placed last Monday due to incompetent cervix so I am having bi-weekly appointments.
How are you feeling? Still a lot of nausea, lack of appetite, and pretty moody.
Raves/Rants: We finally had sunshine in MI yesterday! We only had a day or two of sunshine last month so it has really lifted my spirits. Ready for winter to be OVER.
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? Buffalo Chicken Dip
Upcoming appointments: Next Monday, meeting my Dr and hopefully hearing a HB!
How are you feeling? like complete shit. see my symptoms thread comment. gross.
Raves/Rants: DH is awesome for letting me nap on the weekends.
Questions: I am getting close to telling my work about being pregnant! My question- should I tell them as soon as I have my 12 week U/S (which is my goal post for telling my family)-- meaning, I interrupt my manager's day to just tell him? Or, should I wait until my performance review at the end of this month to break the news? I sort of want to get it over with. The thing about the time between my U/S and my review-- there's a week in between those two moments I will be on vacation in Canada. So if I told my manager right after my U/S, it would be be immediately followed by me away on a week-long vacation.
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? In the past I always enjoyed spinach and artichoke dip. I don't think I could eat it these days though.
@RedBaramid I've had the same bloat too. It's uncomfortable and I don't want to eat since I feel so full. Likely the innards moving and I bet no one else notices
EDD/weeks+days: 14+1
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out
Baby is the size of a(n): playing card
Upcoming appointments: Feb. 24th but I have no clue for what. My last visit (3rd visit) was for blood work, culture, and to discuss financials. The 24th is too early to have my A/S and everything else has been covered in my previous visits...
How are you feeling? OK. Really tired because I stayed up for the Super Bowl but I feel like my energy has generally increased. Still not much of an appetite. I keep randomly gagging and had a low-level nausea this weekend. Hoping I start feeling better now that it's the 2nd trimester.
Raves/Rants: Rave - Like a few others, I also broke out my pregnancy pillow this weekend. Hip pain is real! Associated Rant - I ordered a pillowcase for said pillow and had it shipped to my house. We had a porch pirate and he stole it off my porch in the middle of the day! We have a Ring so were able to turn it over to the police and they caught him. They're actually prosecuting him with an M1 misdemeanor as it is considered a federal crime (mail theft). Guy that took it is probably pretty upset he's getting serious punishment for a freaking pregnancy pillow case that he has absolute NO use for. Sorry, dude!
Questions: S+TM (LOs with allergies) - My daughter has an egg allergy and wondering the chances my next will have the same. Does anyone have multiples with allergies of the same or different food groups? How do you deal? Do you literally make different dinners for each child?
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? Anything with cheese. TBH, someone brought Doritos to my house last night and that alone hit the spot.
-Rant: Our Super Bowl party was canceled, so now I have all this stuff I got for an appetizer. We've eaten some of it, but there were going to be like 40 people. We aren't going to eat all of this! -Rave: I got a pair of Jessica Simpson maternity jeans at the thrift store. So far, I like them!
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? Hmm. Meatballs. Nachos. Those yummy ham and Swiss sliders on sweet rolls. Mozzarella sticks. Onion rings. I could go on.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out... Had NIPT drawn last Thursday and already driving myself crazy waiting for results
Baby is the size of a(n): Strawberry
Upcoming appointments: Meeting with the genetic counselor and having 3d us 2/18; then ob on 2/24
How are you feeling? So tired. Nausea still hits in waves. It seems as though since it's not as frequent but when it strikes it really hits hard. Nose is still stuffy!
Raves/Rants: Finally got some cleaning done in my house over the weekend.. Tackled deep cleaning in the master bedroom and bath... then needed to immediately sit down Started watching Ozark over the weekend... and managed to hit the treadmill yesterday morning.
Questions: None
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? I love appetizers and sometimes make them into a meal... mozzarella sticks, all the dips, bruschetta, guacamole, wings, eggrolls/springrolls, and one of my faves is a baked brie I make with cranberries and basil... yumm
@christysuess Good luck with your appt today! How exciting!
@gomillis Good for you making it to yoga!! I still haven't yet... Did you go to a local place specializing in prenatal?
@wildrainbow Ahh I'm waiting for my NIPT as well and feeling crazy nervous/excited too! Eeek!! I hope you get back the best possible results!
@redbaramid Ugh, I get that feeling when I eat a bunch within a few hours and don't give myself enough time to digest. It's like everything just sits there. I did that yesterday at a superbowl party between the snacks/apps, main, and dessert. I just felt gross going to bed. Glad your little one is starting to feel a bit better. Hoping you don't catch it!
@gsmomplus1 I'm in the same boat as you waiting on the NIPT!! Ughhhh... Hoping you get wonderful results!
@annabanana051416 Glad you and YS are feeling better! Hoping your nausea in generals subsides
@jojokoodles How awesome you were able to visit your friend and her new babe! Those sliders sound awesome, I love pesto!!
@mommy2boys87 Oh no, I hope everything runs smoothly now at your appts! And I'm so with you and over winter!!
@radiohd18 Good luck with your appt!! On the work front, I'm gathering you're not particularly close with your work? In general, employers can react differently with information like this. Do you think they would hold it against you in terms of your review/not give you a raise/assign specific projects, etc? If yes, then just wait until your review where it may just come up organically anyways. Also, it may be a bit strange to stop by and spring it on him if he's jumping on a call or running into a meeting. You don't want to rush the conversation, ya know? I'm in a similar situation and planning on telling my boss this week as I have some additional appts and we are pretty close, so now I sort of feel bad keeping it a secret. I'm debating trying to catch him free, but again don't want a call to interrupt us, or tell him after we have a conference call scheduled so I know it will just be us after the call ends. I don't want it to be a big thing where I ask to talk to him and close his office door and everyone is all wondering about my business because that's not something that regularly happens.
@kgrgreen I cannot believe that guy stole your package!! Good thing you have the Ring and the police were able to identify and catch him! I'm sure he was disappointed when he saw the mystery prize in the package
@coldlife Oh my goodness... an appetizer for 40 people?!! Can you or YH bring some of it to work for colleagues to munch on?
Me: 33 DH: 36 Dating 4/2008 Married 6/2016 TTC #1 9/2019 BFP 12/13/2019! EDD 8/27/2020 Baby Girl
@radiohd18 I think I'd hold out for that review. If you have a bomb review you'll be able to confidently tell him "oh great! I'm expecting in August and I've known since [insert whenever here]." You can demonstrate that you've been working hard since knowing you were pregnant and hopefully he will catch the implication that you continue to do that until take maternity leave. It also gives you a designated time to speak with him about expectations and maybe set a further ahead meeting to discuss what preparing your position to be covered for maternity leave will look like. Also I wouldn't want to be gone right after dropping this news in case the office rumor mill starts. At the last place I worked pregnancy news traveled like wild fire and the people who were around to stay ahead of their story tended to fair better.
Baby is the size of a(n): kumquat, which is cute because that’s what we’re calling baby 😊
Upcoming appointments: Dr appt tomorrow to inquire about diclegis and get my NT scan booked
How are you feeling? See my posts at the end of the Jan symptoms thread! In short, I have had all day nausea since 6 weeks but suddenly on Saturday it escalated to me being so sick that I couldn’t get out of bed, eat or drink much. I felt miserable Sat and Sun but thankfully today I am feeling a bit better and am hopeful that it was either a stomach bug or some weird surge of hormones causing a temporary increase in morning sickness. I will talk to my Dr tomorrow though to see if medication my help my “regular” all day sickness.
Raves/Rants: I’m just so grateful to be feeling quite a bit better today! This past weekend was ROUGH! Excited to get my NT scan booked. Oh and it’s my bday next week so we will have family over for dinner this weekend to celebrate and I think we’ll be sharing our news! 😊
Questions: Has anyone been prescribed diclegis (I think that’s what it’s called) for constant nausea, or only for constant throwing up?
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? Hmm... potato skins! Though all I was eating yesterday was saltine crackers
@laur84ns I’ve been on samples of Diclegis for a week now, and it’s been incredible. I feel like a brand new person. It’s both helped tremendously with insomnia and nausea. I never threw up, just constant nausea- especially morning and afternoon. Once my samples run out (my insurance won’t cover it), I’ll go back to Unisom + B6.
EDD/weeks+days: August 24th. 11 weeks. Having my due date pushed back a week has made me feel like I've been at a standstill, but I'm finally out of that ten week state of mind!
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green
Baby is the size of a(n): Lime
Upcoming appointments: Standard midwife visit February 12th.
How are you feeling? Fine, mostly. Some aches that that I've dealt with in previous pregnancies are making themselves known, and I'm still gassy all the time, but nothing crazy.
Raves/Rants: Rave - We've had two days of gorgeous weather, so I've been able to get my kids outside to blow off some steam. I had DS ride his shuffle bike to the playground today, and I pushed DD in her little blue push car beside him. They were able to run around and there were other kids for my son to play with. Very much looking forward to spring when I'm more motivated to spend time outside.
Rant - We found a stray cat back in the fall. He was a few weeks old when then, and he's now started spraying all over the house and on DH's things. We had an appointment scheduled for a neuter last Friday, but the $340-$500, at the highest, price bracket was just not sitting well with us, so I called and canceled. He has one ball that hasn't dropped down all the way, so we're like, of course this cat that we were nice and saved from coyotes and foxes now requires this difficult surgery for what should be a basic procedure. ANYWAY, I got to work contacting other local vets to get different quotes, and I found one who not only got him in this morning for a consultation, but gave me an appointment for tomorrow at 7AM for the neuter, this time with a bracket of $169-$190. Much more reasonable than what we were dealing with originally, and they're even keeping him overnight so he doesn't have the opportunity to mark in the house anymore. Hallelujah!
Questions: N/A
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? Fried pickles with ranch all day, every day. I've been DREAMING about them recently.
ETA: @kgrgreen Lolol. I'm sure he's really rethinking his life choices right about now. All over a pregnancy pillowcase!
@RedBaramid and @ziggymama06 thanks for the input! I think I might wait for the review. I am going to have it a day or two after I return from vacation so I might as well do it when I have an hour of one-on-one time with my manager. I think he's going to be surprised and maybe a little put off by it, but his own wife is due in the Spring so he should know what's up. I think some of my co-workers might be suspicious of me right now because I'm starting to wear maternity clothes and I've probably been acting strange.
Upcoming appointments: Tomorrow! Even though I've already had 2 appointments and 2 ultrasounds, apparently tomorrow is my "first official prenatal appointment" according to my midwife and apparently it will be a bit long. Standard bloodwork/urine stuff, Pap smear if needed, heartbeat on doppler, and discussing options for genetic testings
How are you feeling? Pretty good... my only symptom has been fatigue and I feel like that's improving. I think I'm coming down with a slight cold, so that stinks.
Raves/Rants: rave - I just found out that my grad program has an amazing maternity leave policy. We are normally supported through teaching assistantships... The policy essentially means next fall I won't have to teach at all and then in my last year I can pick one semester to not have to teach all while still receiving the same level of funding as everyone else... so while my physical department may frown on me, the graduate school at my campus as a whole is quite supportive (maternity care is also fully covered with 0% coinsurance so honestly grad school seems like the perfect time to have a baby lol) rant - the class that I have to teach this semester completely sucks and is not enough credit for how much work it is. the professor is quite demanding with what he expects of me and I'm just not feeling it
Questions: At my appointment tomorrow, I'll have to decide if I want to get the NIPT. I was initially planning on trying to do some combo of NT scan + NIPT... but I've also read that NIPT is less accurate (as in more false positives) for people who are younger/low risk... has anyone else heard that? I'm (almost) 28, so not super young but quite a bit younger than the recommended age group. Trying to decide if I should do it. This wouldn't be covered by insurance, but most I would have to pay is $300 and since that's likely all I would have to pay for I would definitely be willing to pay it
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? my favorite local restaurant makes a delicious goat cheese bruschetta. We are going there for my birthday next week and I'm definitely going to get it (I know, I know.. soft cheese... but I figure it's probably pasteurized if it's served in a restaurant)
@christysuess it's my first pregnancy too and I am anxious before every appointment. hope you had a good appointment!
@gomillis I want to start prenatal yoga but I keep thinking it's too early, but I should just go!
@kgrgreen OMG that's awful about the package! serves him right to get a useless (to him) package
@lachnessmomster we used to live in a city with a terrible stray dog problem, so we adopted both of our dogs from a shelter where they spay/neuter before they even let you take them home. We got one of them on a "$5 Saturday Special"... best $5 we ever spent! It is shocking how expensive the surgery is when I got it for my dogs basically for free! Glad you were able to find a vet with a more reasonable price range
@fitandnerdy Yeah, that's definitely the way to do it! We also have a black cat named Maleficent who was a shelter kitty, and she was fixed when we adopted her, too. Between vaccines, flea medicine, basic exams, and this crazy neutering process, this is turning into an expensive stray cat. Am I going to get good karma for all this!?
@gsmomplus1 mine took a week- it was actually done 5 days but it was a Friday but they didn’t call so I had to wait the weekend. @RedBaramid yes to the bloat!! Feeling large and in charge this afternoon!!
@ziggymama06, oooh, that's a good idea! I didn't think of that! I'm a SAHM, but I'll ask H tonight if he wants to take some in. He's contracting at a small company right now, though, so he only has a very small handful of coworkers. But it'd help a little bit! Thanks.
@babytimeagain Thanks! That’s helpful. So good to know it helped a ton with your nausea. My insurance will cover 100% of my medications so I WANT IT! Haha! Now that my weird stomach bug/crazy morning sickness weekend has passed and I’m back to my usual sick feeling, I’m remembering how bad my regular sickness is too I don’t want to have to deal with any more of this!
How are you feeling? Tired and hungry all the time. Nausea finally subsided aside from sometimes in the morning before I eat breakfast. I am relieved and nervous. I'm eager to hear a heartbeat to assure me that all is well.
Raves/Rants: we told the immediate family yesterday and it was so exciting to share the news!
Questions:
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? Too many! Friend pickles, mozzarella sticks, sour krout balls, buffalo chicken dip, spinach artichoke dip, I could go on...
@RedBaramid That sounds really uncomfortable. I had similar bloating for several weeks, which finally seems to be getting better. I found that walking around more during the day helped relieve it.
@kgrgreen Your story about the porch pirate is so crazy! I hope the pillow cover was worth it to him!
@coldlife We are in a similar boat with the leftovers from DS's party. I found a recipe for a slaw made from crudities that looks pretty decent.
@ziggymama06 The teacher specializes in prenatal yoga and holds it in a music school we take DS to. She's obviously really popular because the class has been PACKED. @fitandnerdy I do feel a little weird being the only person with no obvious bump in class, but no one bats an eyelash. I wanted to start early because I tend to be really shy in group situations like that and I'm trying to give myself more time to get to know people and connect with other moms.
Good luck to all of you with appointments coming up and all of you waiting on results!
This thread has officially made me crave fried pickles.
@gomillis I went to my first pre-natal yoga class this week too and loved it! It was super relaxing, but there were definitely a few intense parts and I'm still a bit sore. I was nervous that I wasn't pregnant "enough", but everyone there were a handful of people due either at the same time as me or due later, and everyone was really nice. I've heard a lot of classes start this way, but we went around the room and said how many weeks we were, how we were feeling, and where we are delivering.
Sending good feelings to all the moms ( @wildrainbow, @ziggymama06, @tara4910, @gsmomplus1 ...hope I didn't miss anyone!) waiting for their NIPT results! I remember feeling a mixture of nerves and excitement before I heard back... hope the time goes fast!

Upcoming appointments: 2/26... feels so far away, but trying to just relax and trust everything is as it should be.
How are you feeling? Overall feeling pretty good and I think my energy has started to return, which is nice. I am having a bit of back pain (I'm blaming it on my significantly larger chest ). I have moments where I'm certain I have a bump and then will decide it's just a food baby, but it's been kind of fun feeling more comfortable with showing off the curve of my belly instead of feeling bad for it not being perfectly flat.
Raves/Rants: Rant: I'm a broken record! Another week on the road for work and I really wish I was home and could sleep with my pregnancy pillow Rave: I'm heading to Georgia later this week for my cousin's wedding and will get to see family in person for the first time since I shared the news and I'm really excited to spend time with everyone. My situation is untraditional (and most of my family is pretty religious), but everyone has been really supportive and excited for me, which has made a huge difference.
Questions:
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? So my friend and I get together the night of the Super Bowl to make all the good food but watch a rom com, and it's one of my favorite traditions! Like others here I LOVE buffalo chicken dip, but last night we had planned to make cinnamon rolls for dessert (the kind that comes in a can), but then we really had too much food so we didn't end up making them and now it's all I can think about
@rivercitynik Glad you enjoyed your yoga class! Apparently the class I've been going to used to do sharing beforehand, but it's gotten so big that there's not enough time. It was seriously like 30-40 people. I may switch to a weeknight class vs the Sunday class. Hope you have a wonderful time in Georgia! It's awesome that your family is so supportive.
christysuess my face broke out this pregnancy, boy baby, and my face was clear as day with my daughter's pregnancy. Hopefully that also means you are a boy
Mommy2Boys87 do you have to have bi-weekly appointments throughout your pregnancy? Did you have this with your other pregnancies?
kgrgreen my office has appointments every four weeks. And then I read in my paper work that from week 28 to 36 I will have biweekly appointments, which I feel like is a new practice for them.
laur84ns good luck with your appointment today. I could not imagine being sick all day long.

How are you feeling? Minus the insomnia pretty great
Raves/Rants: for the first time in weeks I did not take a nap this weekend. I feel the surge of energy coming back. Now if I can get the insomnia to stop that will be great. But I know two other boy moms who are still suffering from insomnia and they are much further along in their pregnancies. I've also found a sweet spot with my pregnancy pillow and sleeping. It helps my hip for sure. I had a massage yesterday and she believes that my hip issues are stemming from my hamstrings because those are super tender. I hope that stretching will help that.

GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? wings!

BFP 1: October 30, 2015; EDD: July 6, 2016- Team Pink
Decided to go for the NIPT testing today at my appointment, so now I get to join the group waiting for results
It took (a lot) of searching, but the midwife was also able to find the heartbeat with the doppler and it was the first time we actually got to hear it (rather than see it flickering on the screen)... I was so anxious for the what seemed like 30 minutes of her trying to find it but it was just amazing Now I go back in 2 more weeks for the NT ultrasound
@mrswheeler812 I've been high risk for both of my live birth pregnancies. It just means extra monitoring as you go along, depending on your reason for high risk. For instance, I will have twice a week NSTs and an u/s once a week one I hit the tail end of second tri and on until I deliver, most likely prematurely.
@lachnessmomster I love that you rescued a cat! How did the neutering go this am? My dog was pretty sad for a few days after his surgery. I'm midway through the first season of Ozark.. if's pretty good. Get's into the storyline right out the gate so has held my interest!!
@gomillis & @rivercitynik I'm so jealous of your energy to go to yoga lol... My dr's office hosts yoga on Tues/Thurs but at 7pm which is like so late now and a weird in-between time when I'm usually eating dinner. They offer a Saturday am session at 9:30am... just gotta get my butt into gear and get on it.

@ziggymama06 Thank you! The last thing in the world we needed was something else for me to take care of, yet here we are. Lol. We named him Huckleberry, and he really does have a great personality. Without marking on everything, he'll be a great pet. The neuter seemed to go fine. He has a little incision on his abdomen where they had to go in, so I can't imagine that feels good. He's surprisingly active, though, which I was not expecting. It's the kids' naptime right now, so he's enjoying the quiet and resting in his favorite spot.
@lachnessmomster Aww what a cutie and I love the name. Glad his surgery went well and hoping him a speedy recovery. I'm surprised to hear he is being active... must be all his pent up energy

@radiohd18 I wouldn't eat Rotel from the can. It's more like diced tomatoes with some chilies in it for kick. But mix it into anything and it's amazing!

GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? I’m a big fan of cheesy, mayonnaisey dips. I make one with Brie and artichokes that you bake until it’s warm and bubbly. Sooo good.

Baby is the size of a(n): plum
Upcoming appointments: Frb 27th for my 16w appt.
How are you feeling? Ok. My hips are hurting at night, so I may be busting out the pregnancy pillow soon.
Raves/Rants: I should get the results of my NIPT this week. I'm crazy nervous/excited about it.
Questions:
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? We do Rotel dip with ground venison and it's so freaking good.
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding Out
Baby is the size of a(n): Hard Boiled Egg?
Upcoming appointments: Nothing to note here.
Nachos
Team: Finding out
Baby is the size of a: Macaron
Upcoming Appt: Feb 14th
How are you feeling? Good! Energy seems to be coming back, nausea is better
Rants/Raves:
Visited a friend Saturday who's little one turns 5 weeks old today---it was so cool to snuggle him and talk to her about what it's been like since baby's been here. Learned a lot and grateful to be able to pick her brain !
GTKY: Best super bowl appetizer?
A friend brought over Italian & Pesto sliders, YUMMMMM!! pinned it this morning for future use
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green
Baby is the size of a(n): Nectarine
Upcoming appointments: 2/7 and 2/24. I had a Cerclage placed last Monday due to incompetent cervix so I am having bi-weekly appointments.
How are you feeling? Still a lot of nausea, lack of appetite, and pretty moody.
Raves/Rants: We finally had sunshine in MI yesterday! We only had a day or two of sunshine last month so it has really lifted my spirits. Ready for winter to be OVER.
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? Buffalo Chicken Dip
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out
Baby is the size of a(n): strawberry I think.

Upcoming appointments: Not for another week.
How are you feeling? Fine. Still some tiredness.
I love appetizers and sometimes make them into a meal... mozzarella sticks, all the dips, bruschetta, guacamole, wings, eggrolls/springrolls, and one of my faves is a baked brie I make with cranberries and basil... yumm
@WishesSheCouldCook Good luck with your appt Friday!

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green

Questions: N/A
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? Fried pickles with ranch all day, every day. I've been DREAMING about them recently.

The policy essentially means next fall I won't have to teach at all and then in my last year I can pick one semester to not have to teach all while still receiving the same level of funding as everyone else... so while my physical department may frown on me, the graduate school at my campus as a whole is quite supportive (maternity care is also fully covered with 0% coinsurance so honestly grad school seems like the perfect time to have a baby lol)
rant - the class that I have to teach this semester completely sucks and is not enough credit for how much work it is. the professor is quite demanding with what he expects of me and I'm just not feeling it
Questions: At my appointment tomorrow, I'll have to decide if I want to get the NIPT.
@wildrainbow @gsmomplus1 @ziggymama06 hope you all get incredibly boring NIPT results back quickly!
@RedBaramid @Mommy2Boys87 mmm buffalo chicken dip is so tasty
@kgrgreen OMG that's awful about the package! serves him right to get a useless (to him) package
@lachnessmomster we used to live in a city with a terrible stray dog problem, so we adopted both of our dogs from a shelter where they spay/neuter before they even let you take them home. We got one of them on a "$5 Saturday Special"... best $5 we ever spent! It is shocking how expensive the surgery is when I got it for my dogs basically for free! Glad you were able to find a vet with a more reasonable price range
@RedBaramid yes to the bloat!! Feeling large and in charge this afternoon!!

Like others here I LOVE buffalo chicken dip, but last night we had planned to make cinnamon rolls for dessert (the kind that comes in a can), but then we really had too much food so we didn't end up making them and now it's all I can think about
Mommy2Boys87 do you have to have bi-weekly appointments throughout your pregnancy?

Questions:
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? wings!

How are you feeling? Better than I have in weeks! still exhausted though
Raves/Rants: If my younger sisters makes light of my high risk status again I will not be responsible for my actions.
Questions: Anyone have a high risk pregnancy the second time around and not the first? How did it change your experience?
GTKY: IHO the super bowl what is your favorite appetizer? Chips and salsa from a specific restaurant only.
