So my son flushed a toy dinosaur down the toilet. Had to unscrew the toilet and pull it out. Then the metal flange snapped. We arent plumbers so we didnt know wtf had just happened only that it looked really bad. Then my son broke the 2nd toilet the same night. My husband had a complete break down where he laughed cried. So i had to talk him down and told him I would get my dad to tell me how bad he thought the damage was. Went to lowes with my dad. Spent $16 on parts. He walked me through how to fix it. Hubs came home and i told him what my dad told me and we got it fixed. Last night was such a bad night.
Other than that my son is talking so much more the last 2 days! Hes having actual conversations with us and speaking in full sentences most of the time. I'm so excited at his progress! Still pissed about the dinosaur though.
Also had my first crazy sex dream this pregnancy and it was about bobcat goldthwait. And yes he did the weird voice.

@psychobutthead I’m glad it ended up being something you could fix yourselves. But holy cow, your sex dream has me rolling. What a random person to dream about 😂
@tyrion_ i know right? I dont find him attractive so idk why it was of him. Told my husband and he couldnt stop laughing. He then humped air while impersonating bobcats voice 😆

I already had to tell my admin due to letters of intent going out. Schools like to start looking towards next year super early now. I remember when they didn't go out until March and they're already making the schedule for next year. I just told them I'm undecided due to changes in family circumstance but I'm 95% sure I'm not going back next year. I'll either be working from home, FX, or a SAHM again. I love being a SAHM but I love having extra money to do things too. It would only be for a year, then I could homeschool the boys while I work from home. My interview for that job is 2/20. I'm really nervous. I haven't interviewed for anything since 2011.
@psychobutthead Omg. Sounds like a nightmare, but you guys really stepped up to the plate to get things done! It's never fun dealing with unplanned home improvement stuff. When we were selling our house, the home inspector noted an issue with one of the toilets (obviously nitpicking, mind you, but that's a story for another day ), and we had to pull it up and do some basic repairs like you guys did. It was comical with just my husband and I trying to fix it. I was 7 or 8 months pregnant so wasn't much help with lifting. It was so frustrating at the time, but funny to look back on! Glad you didn't have to pay a plumber to come in and fix them!
Woke up this morning to rain, which, thanks to the change in pressure has given me a massive migraine. Of course, my 2 toddlers are being the opposite of good, because they sense my weakness. I may be exceeding my caffeine limit just to survive today.
Not sure where to post this, but it is random so on this thread it goes!
Amazon has a coupon for 50% off 5 Halo and Aiden + Anais products! I just got a dreamnest, sheet and 3 sleepsacks for crazy cheap!
FYI if you have an Amazon registry (or just create one for this), put all the items you are going to buy on there and the full cost of your purchase with go towards your completion/diaper discount🙌
@gsmomplus1 thanks for the tip! I do need another set of A&A silky soft blankets cause my toddler will only use that kind to sleep and they will also be useful for the baby.
@blackgirlmagic I've stepped up my walking game, sometimes just pacing laps around my apartment trying to get things moving. I gave up coffee when I found out I was pregnant (it's an addiction... it was cut myself off or struggle to maintain a healthy caffeine intake) and I'm considering picking up some decaf to brew to see if drinking that may tempt things into getting a little looser. I'm almost always uncomfortable at this point despite the fiber gummy and the diet changes I've made. You're not alone. My bathroom trips are starting to rival my spouses..
Guys.... My baby turned 1 today! I'm so emotional! I'm thinking about a year ago when he was a tiny little thing and I'm so excited for all of it again. ♥️ I'm very eager for my next appointment to confirm things are going well. My nausea has subsided leaving me both relieved and anxious at the same time.
@blackgirlmagic I seriously think what helps me is that I literally live off of spicy food. Hot sauce, hot peppers, hot wings, hot spices, hot everything. I eat spicy food every day almost all day, and I rarely have any problems staying regular. Maybe get yourself some Mexican food, girl!
@riatortillaxo Awhh! Happy Birthday to your little nugget! That is so exciting and bittersweet at the same time. They really do grow so quick, and I always think of that cliche, "The days are long, but the years are short."
Also, I need to brag about DD real quick. I pulled the training potty down from upstairs just last night, and she's already pooped in the potty this afternoon! I was so surprised. She's a little over 14 months, and I'm so proud. If we can nail this whole potty training thing before the new baby arrives, that would be such a load off.
@psychobutthead Kudos to you for fixing the toilet by yourself! It sounds like a crazy night but you handled it like a champ. And omg your dream is too funny!
@blackgirlmagic I was taking fiber gummies to help with bloating but they seemed to just make it worse. I eat mostly vegetarian so I usually have no problem with being regular.
@riatortillaxo Happy birthday to your little one! DS’s birthdays are always emotional for me, but especially his first birthday. The combination of seeing your LO grow up and commemorating when you became a mother is very powerful. DS turned 3 on Wednesday and I still can’t believe that I have a real kid, not a baby anymore 😭
@lachnessmomster Wow, I'm super impressed with YD!! Hope this momentum keeps up!! I love that saying about the days and years... I'll have to remember that!

lachnessmomster I am loving some spicy food this pregnancy. I may just need to step my spice game up. gomillis before my trip I was doing really well with eating at least one salad a day. I'm picking that back up and hoping that will help. @riatortillaxo Happy first birthday to your son!!! Also, I just booked my first prenatal massage appointment for Monday. I have a gf who is due in April and told me that I need to go see her lady. My body has been hurting since my trip to Japan. I'm so looking forward to this.

@radiohd18 omg maybe I should make my husbands desktop image be of bobcat 😆
So many people have tagged me in this thread. We knew how to remove the toilet already. But we had no clue what the thing that broke was called. If my dad hadnt looked and gone to lowes and explain each part, what it does, and how to install itbwe would have been so lost. He used to be a contractor so he just has tons of random knowledge on everything and its really helpful.
I hate to think what a plumber would have charged us. The whole incident really helped my argument with my husband on why emegency funds are so important. And before the toilet over flowed we where arguing big time. So when he had to come ask me for help after yelling at me my husband was just so defeated by then.

@riatortillaxo Happiest of birthdays to your son and congratulations to you for having a whole year under your belt! First birthdays have been the hardest on me so far. I sobbed the night before both my baby’s turned 1. My son will be 5 in April and this one seems like it’s gonna be a hard one for me, too. 5 just seems so big.
Okay, what we thought was a stomach bug turned ugly over night, the lethargy got concerning, and the fever started to spike worse... after a quick visit to our favorite urgent care this afternoon my 5 year old got diagnosed with Influenza A now leaving me to beg the question, can I get it again? I had Flu A over Christmas and I was hoping we were clear because baby girl didn't get it then. Here's to washing my hands until there is no skin left.
@blackgirlmagic the fiber gummies help me but only if I also avoid dairy. I'm getting a prenatal massage tomorrow and I am beyond excited. I'm also 99% sure I'll pass out during it.
@RedBaramid I'm sorry your daughter is sick. I hope she gets better quickly and that you can't get it again!
@blackgirlmagic I have not been regular in weeks, ever since I stopped drinking any coffee. I think my daily half pot was the only thing keeping me regular. I've been trying to drink more water to see if that helps. I also ate a lot of fast food this week so I'm hoping maybe that will get things going eventually.
My ILs are coming tomorrow to help my husband and I put trim in our kitchen and downstairs hallway. We've had no trim since November of 2018 due to slowly fixing up the floors and painting. Now with this baby coming I may have told DH rather over emotionally that I couldn't bring a baby home to a house with no trim. So ready for this project to be finished!
Is anyone else already dreaming of nursery stuff? The baby's room is currently painted an unfortunate shade of brown. It's gotta go.
@RedBaramid Oh no!! I hope she feels better soon and you dont catch it again!!!
@wednesdaygirl1019 OMG yay! I'm excited for you! I've had those projects where the finishing touches just drag-out-foreverrrrr.
I'm daydreaming of the nursery, but hoping to move before baby arrives... lol... so just daydreaming of decor and can't wait to find out boy or girl!
@blackgirlmagic I eat yogurt just about every day or enjoy it in overnight oats for breakfast. I also take a probiotic daily. Perhaps they could help you? Hope this symptom is eased soon!

@psychobutthead It’s still impressive! When we first moved in to our house, the handle broke off the faucet in the middle of getting ready for DS’s bath and we couldn’t stop the water because the main outside was rusted. Anyway, it ended up costing like $400 to repair it.
@RedBaramid oh no! I hope she gets better quickly!
@wednesdaygirl1019 I haven’t thought much about decorations for our nursery, but the room is a hideous lime green color that we will definitely repaint before the baby comes. Good luck with your trim!
Happy Friday everyone! We are getting the house ready for DS’s birthday party tomorrow. I woke up at like 5:00am and my brain decided I’d be better off stressing about the party than sleeping. But today DH was a real hero and went to Costco for food on his own (Costco is my personal hell) and DS helped me vacuum so not too much is left to do!
@samsonator thank you! I would be teaching high school math courses online. It would be a perfect job where I could keep the baby home with me while I work.
@gomillis oh thats horrible! Being a homeowner is soooo stressful. I really don't enjoy it at all.

@gomillis Yikes, up since 5am? You must be exhausted! I hope the party runs smoothly tomorrow... Happy birthday to YS! Your hubs deserves a cookie... I hate Costco as well... the whole experience, lines and loading/ unloading the car without bags is just to worst! We try to have the dry bulk stuff delivered now, but cold food doesn't qualify so sometimes I hafta suck it up, MH would never go on his own lol.

@ziggymama06 really they are? Thats so weird. Is it just a store to be able to make returns maybe? That reminds me of how there used to be stores for ebay. They would take pictures of your items and post them for you. You never see those anymore.

@gomillis good luck with the party today! I would call it a win for my husband going to Costco and sticking to the list. I feel like Costco and Wegmans are his weak points when it comes to grocery shopping because of the samples they give out.
@jwhite3116 that sounds like a dream job for any working mother. Good luck with your interview.

@ziggymama06 I do that all the time! For Christmas I was lazy and forgot to order my husbands gift before the shipping deadline and I was like “oh no what am I going to do?” It took me wayyyy too long to consider that I could walk in to a store and buy it because I just never do that anymore!
@ziggymama06 I don’t enjoy shopping in general and Costco is shopping on steroids. MH actually liked going for some reason? There’s an Amazon book store near where I work. It has books and gifts and you can do returns there.
Y'all I'm going to brag on ds1. He's been potty training and basically going on his for a week+ with zero accidents. He asked last night to sleep in underwear instead of a diaper. I let him, fully expecting a mess, instead, he woke up at 6, pottied, then laid back down. Y'all I'm so freaking proud of him!!
@wildraonbow, wow! My daughter is not even close to being night trained, even though she's fine during the day.
In my successes though, I went to a thrift store yesterday, and she decides she has to go. But they apparently recently stopped allowing customers to use the bathroom. Super annoying. So I kept asking her to hold it long enough to try on a pair of pants and get home, and she did! I was so happy.
I would much rather shop Costco with the kids by myself than take my husband. We spend much more when he's along because he randomly sees a gallon of sauerkraut and decides to get it, even though he's the only one who likes it, he doesn't eat it often, and we'd be much better off buying a pint at the regular grocery.
Also, HE DOESN'T WANT SAMPLES. So I'm running to grab one or going down an aisle just for the sample while he's like "come on, next thing on the list."
