@charhar0820@laur84ns I got some Lululemon align leggings and they are super comfy. I had some prior to pregnancy (bright colors and capris) but purchased a pair of black ones since pregnancy and I wear them pretty regularly. The ones I had prior to pregnancy, I have had for at least a year and they are still in great shape. If you dont mind pre-owned, you can go on poshmark to find them a little cheaper. Watch quality for the super cheap ones because they are usually well worn. Also, I did get some maternity leggings and tights from motherhood maternity in their going out of business sale for $10-15. You can search their website to see if you can find some there.
@charhar0820@pengy16 the lulus aren’t too compressing or tight on the waist?! This is my third so I do not have a flat stomach to begin with and feel like I already look 20-24 weeks pregnant... I like the idea of being able to wear them postpartum though. Wish I could go in-store and try them on
@laur84ns I have under the belly leggings from motherhood maternity that I bought with my first in 2016. They held up well and are still very comfy. And they were cheap. I’d check there

@laur84ns I have two pairs of the align leggings and I love them...def some of the stretchiest, softest leggings I've owned. I can still wear my old pair comfortably, but I did size up for the new pair I got after becoming pregnant and I think those will be my go-to pair in the later months.
Anyone have a place where they got some cute maternity capris? It's getting too warm for pants down here, but not quite shorts weather. I havent been able to find any that just speak to me.
Has anyone gotten one of those Milkmaid Goods robes? Just curious about the fit - it says to go up one size for pregnancy and postpartum, and it’d be nice to hear confirmation of that. Alternately - any nice comfy robes you’d recommend for post-delivery? The only one I own is way heavy and I’d like something soft and light.
Oh @viola_mama, I've got my eyes on those robes too. Which one do you like? I'm thinking of getting the Reese. Now that we are mostly home I've been thinking a lot about lounge clothes that will work this summer before baby gets here as well after he's born. Anyone have suggestions on that front? Especially ones that work for nursing.
@rivercitynik@viola_mama I love those robes too! I actually came across a similar one with matching baby swaddle on Amazon that I just added to my registry today 😄

@rivercitynik I just got that Target bra today - thanks for the recommendation! It’s more supportive than I expected, and insanely comfortable compared to my normal ones I’ve been wearing up to now. I don’t think I’d even realized the extent of how uncomfortable they were until I put this one on!
@laur84nsI second the align pants from lululemon! So comfy and soft and they have high waist and super high waisted available. I was about to suggest them when I saw @charhar0820 already had! I had a pair pre pregnancy that I absolutely loved and they did fit (although barely) throughout my entire first pregnancy. Mid-pregnancy I ordered two additional pairs but sized up one and i preferred those in the end. I still wear all of them!
@lachnessmomster Sweet! I ordered some pjs and comfies close to two weeks ago with the 50% off sale and my items have been delayed (they were supposed to come in this past week). Ugh.

Sooo. I was really thinking maybe I could avoid needing maternity underwear, but over the past two days I think I've really popped and all my underwear are uncomfortable. Normally I favor high waisted briefs but I've found until recently that my classic briefs have been more comfortable. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Also, just wanted to plug this workout top from Gap. I got the neon coral color on sale and I'm in love. It's so soft and comfy and perfect for neighborhood walks and working in the garden. Shelf tanks have never worked for me (way too small in the chest area) so I was skeptical about how this would fit, but it actually works great. I'm planning to get another... just waiting to see if the deep blue sea color comes back in stock.
I've thought about the milkmaid robe and swaddle set, but man they are so pricey. Anyone know an alternative that's as cute but with a cheaper price tag?

@ziggymama06 Man, Old Navy order says it's meant to get here next Monday, it still says it should be on time but it hasn't shipped yet. I really hope it gets here I've got a couple of pairs of maternity pixie pants in there and 3 tops and I'll be honest my clothes acceptable for public pickings are real slim right now. I've got leggings on a tunic top that is very clearly now too tight over the belly on for my appointment this morning.
I was relieved when I was digging through my underwear drawer to find way deep in the back I still had some of my fat girl underwear that I was wearing when I was a lot heavier last year... those fit nice right now lol.
@RedBaramid My Old Navy order just came in yesterday!! I haven't tried everything on yet, but they sent it via express shipping since it was delayed. Hoping they do the same for yours!!
@rivercitynik I got some Gap workout tops too and I love them! I got the ones with the traditional sports back - they are so soft! I ordered some mat underwear on Amazon, and they are super comfy. I'm planning to order more lol.
@samsonator it's this bra! I love it. The other night I almost wore it to bed b/c I forgot it was on, which has never happened to me in my entire bra-wearing life.
I think Latched Mama has robes that are a similar style and (slightly) more affordable than the ones from Milk Maid. I'm guessing if I get a Milk Maid robe it would be more for wearing around the house now and then maybe in the hospital after delivery since I've heard things can get just a touch messy I think Target's loungewear is super soft and I have a black robe from there from their previous loungewear line (but I think it's essentially the same as the new one) that I think I'll probably wear during labor. Kindred Bravely looks like they have some nice robes but they don't have that floral print you see on the Milk Maid robes.
@RedBaramid@ziggymama06 I think things are sooo backed up right now. My crib was supposed to arrive last Thursday but it looks like it's been stuck on a truck somewhere in NC since April 1.
@rivercitynik I like the kindred bravery under bump bikinis. I sized up because I was between and I’ve been quite happy with them. add me to the list of delayed old navy orders. I think it’s been 2 weeks but it shipped this week.
Anyone who is planning to bring a fancy robe to the hospital, just a word of advice, but you'll most likely want to save it for <i>after</i> the actual delivery. Whether that's shortly after and you've had at least long enough to pee, brush your hair, and climb back into bed, or else even after your first shower.
I would focus more on what comfy lounge clothes are you going to want to wear on the car ride over, and while you're getting checked in and settled into your room etc. I brought a nightgown from home to change into that snapped all the way up, and I was able to wear that walking around the unit in the beginning, but once things get going, you are not going to give two craps what you have on, and it's mostly all getting pulled down or ripped off anyway lol. Or taken off if they let you in the tub, or you'll go into a regular gown if they switch you to a section etc.
Just save the pretty robe for once you're showered and ready to feel pretty again!
I wear bikini-cut underwear normally, and those have never given me issues while pregnant. The lower cut the underwear, the better, probably.
Yea, anything cute you wear during delivery will quite likely get messy and need to be changed. I changed post delivery with my first because it had some blood on it. And with my second, I actually changed twice - once in mid-labor after my water broke and soaked it and then into a nightgown after I delivered.
I love the nursing cami tops I just got in from Old Navy (tried it on for my bump pic). I bought them to sleep in now and once the baby comes, but I think I'm going to live in them once baby comes (and maybe all summer)... planning to order all the colors now lol.
I'm not planning on wearing the robe set until after baby comes and then we can have a nice photo op... but this does get me wondering what should I plan to wear during labor/delivery?

@ziggymama06 I mean, I could be wrong... but when you show up you'll be offered a hospital gown. Honestly I just wore that for as long as I could they got me a new one every day and I wore the t-shirt dress I came to the hospital in home. Of course I changed into that t-shirt dress just before I went to the hospital because I was having a planned induction so it's not like it was really dirty before. I think I did have my husband bring me a pair of maternity leggings to wear under my hospital gown at one point because my legs were constantly cold...
I get that some people want to bring their own cozy things to labor in.. I just couldn't understand the why bother of it though knowing everything your body does during labor. Wear their gown, let them deal with the clean up.
I agree with @redbaramid, especially your last paragraph. I brought two nightgowns with me because I really didn't know what they would offer me.
If you have to wear a standard hospital gown that doesn't close in the back, you may be more comfortable in something you bring. You'd just have to bring several in case they get dirty.
My birth center had above-the-knee-robes for me to wear, and they were in pretty colors and prints. So I just wore that sans panties and with a bra underneath. It was pretty comfortable.
Since I seem to only have maternity dresses in my wardrobe, I'll probably wear a loose fitting one to and from the hospital. I ordered some maternity/nursing night gowns and they just came in, but I haven't tried them on yet as they're still in quarantine in the garage.
Guys, today I rotated my wardrobe and put away all the things that just don't fit anymore and I feel like I have nothing to wear I know I'm not really going anywhere anyway but I'm hitting that mental wall where I really think just getting dressed would help. I'm starting to wonder if it would be worth it to order something I can curb side pick-up from the local Target since my orders from ON are so far behind.
I ordered some shorts from Motherhood Maternity on Monday and it's already shipped! I can't believe it! So, y'all may want to check in with them to see what they have. I caught a sale and got my shorts for $17 with free shipping.
@ziggymama06 I stress purchased a delivery gown off amazon like 2 days before I was due and never used it. What the hospital provided was just fine and honestly by that point I DNGAF what I was wearing. If you've got something you love for post-delivery you've got the most important piece covered IMO. That said, you can find some cute delivery items for $20-ish and they're kind of a fun thing to pick out! I'd definitely make it something you're OK treating as single use, though.
ETA @BusinessWife Lol, I so carefully selected my "comfy lounge clothes" for arrival at the hospital and to wear afterward/for the trip home. But my water broke shortly before we went to the hospital and kept leaking, and the "in labor" version of me became totally psyco about not wanting to look like I'd peed my pants. So I changed my outfit like 3 times in 15 minutes and ran through every clothing option I'd packed, and that was that.
I didn't pack anything to wear home. I wore the same clothes I arrived in both times, which was maternity jeans and a maternity top, probably a basic tshirt.
@emiliadkay There you have it! No matter how much you try to plan and prepare 1. It really 1000% does. Not. Matter. In the moment and 2. The hospital will make sure you no nakkies. 🤣
I wish I'd written down what I packed in my hospital bag with DS. Because of complications we ended up being in for a week but I used everything I packed.
I got my Motherhood Maternity shorts yesterday. They are super comfy and, the best part, I don't look like I'm wearing booty shorts!! I may actually put on real clothes today 🤣🤣
I got the notification this morning that my ON order had shipped and was expected to arrive Thursday with tracking number! Oh I am so excited to have clothes to wear to my next appointment that isn't an oversized t-shirt dress or an extra large shirt with leggings that are getting too small. They're only gonna be 10 days late from the original projection they gave me.
My ON order still hasn't shipped. It's been two weeks now. I just got a notification yesterday saying "sorry, we still haven't shipped. You can cancel if you want." No info on when it might ship.
@coldlife2 Still waiting on the rest of my ON stuff, too. This is getting pretty crazy. I got an email from them the other day saying that shipments could be delayed for up to a month!
Not maternity related; but I’m getting really annoyed with old navy because they’re so delayed and having issues but still putting out CRAZY GOOD flash and daily sales but can’t keep up with their back orders. I feel like it’s really deceptive.

@sarah0985 my thoughts exactly! And I’ve been So tempted to order but they still haven’t shipped my order I placed on April.1st! Estimated date they originally gave me is the 28th. I’m curious to see if it’ll actually come that day.
