I went in for my ultra sound today. The tech wouldnt tell me anything or show me anything. She wouldn't let me see the screen.
She left to go spesk to a doctor there. She for got to close out all the shots she had taken.
I didn't see a baby at all. Nothing. No idication that theres a baby where there is supposed to be one. She came back i. Because she realized she didnt x out of the shots. I just acted like I had been on my phone the whole time.
My doctors nurse said they should have my results tomorrow. I know the results arent going to be good.

WhWha? @psychobutthead. I'm so so sorry. I don't know why someone wouldn't have come talk to you right away! From what you saw, do you think maybe they suspect ectopic, or what? I'm just stunned.
@BusinessWife idk. I would assume if they thought it was dangerous they woukd move fast. It was just so weird. The tech kept leaving and then coming back asking me questions just to leave again. She'd walk in ask how many live births id had. Then leave. Walk back in and ask how many csections ive had then leave.
My ob office ended up calling me a few minutes ago. They said I dont measure 6 weeks. That I measure 5 weeks 1 day. They just told me there is a fetus and that I am still pregnant and to come to my appointment in January.
I got 0 answers on why the cramps are so bad. I doubt there was a heart beat if I'm only 5 weeks.
This is all so stressful with really no answers.

@psychobutthead How far along are you according to your LMP? Were you tracking ovulation? I’m so sorry you were left with no answers. I can’t imagine how upsetting this all is.
@tyrion_ according to lmp period I shoukd be 6 weeks exactly. But according to their measurements Im 5 weeks 1 day.

@psychobutthead That's so frustrating. I'm sorry you didn't get any answers about why you came in in the first place. I'm glad they seem to think everything is okay, but it's terrible that they didn't communicate with you better and address your concerns. And all that leaving and coming back seems pretty unprofessional and unnecessarily stressful.

@psychobutthead I have some anecdotal evidence, so take it for what it is. When I was pg with ds2, I measured a week behind where I thought I was until he caught up at 10 weeks. You may be in that situation, tho I agree that you doctor's office handled this horribly. I'm sorry that you are dealing with this. Hugs.
@psychobutthead, not that I want to give any sort of false hope but this wait to Jan will be cruel and I’d rather you have something to hold on to.
With my daughter, she measured 4 days behind at our dating ultrasound. HOWEVER my ovulation was 3 days off of what my LMP would have been. I knew this and had given my doc an “LMP” that reflected my ovulation and not my true LMP. If I had given them my actual LMP she would have been measuring a week behind.
I am praying you O’d a few days off of the average and that you get a pleasant surprise and reassurance at your next appointment. Sending you big hugs and comfort until then 💗

@psychobutthead Appalled that's how the office handled that situation. I'm not a medical professional or anything, but it seems weird that they didn't just tell you that information while you were there in person. It's cruel to keep you hanging. Hoping for some good news at your January appointment.
@psychobutthead I’m so sorry about how this was handled. With DS2, he was measuring almost 2 weeks behind where I thought he was. I was sure there was something wrong. But I must have ovulated much later than I thought because he came a week later than the due date they gave me. Hugs to you and I’m hoping for positive reassurance in January.
@psychobutthead I am so sorry about how the office handled that. I don't really know why the tech didn't let you see the US. This happened to me when things went south in my last pregnancy. In my head, I was yelling at myself to sit up and say something but I think this was one of those moments I really doubted my own will. I hope you find some peace in your doctor's phone call after that mess of a visit.

I'm so sorry you're going through this right now @psychobutthead having been blindsided before must make it extra hard. With my September transfer, I remember going in so hopeful and optimistic! And then after transfer, I just didn't have a good feeling and I couldn't quite shake it or talk myself out of it.... And it failed. The next transfer everything seemed to go so perfectly - like a dream - and it still failed. I think that definitely compounded my anguish when it didn't work, either. The brain absolutely has some pretty powerful coping mechanisms to protect our hearts from pain, but sometimes it is just that - a defense. I understand feeling like something is just wrong, and that's okay. But I am going to dare to hope for you that it very likely could just be a combination of things including the pgal mindset, a grossly inexperienced Us tech, and a late ovulation that, in this case, have all added up to a perfect storm of anxiety and thinking the worst. But it's not over yet! I hope and pray you get some better answers soon... ❤️❤️❤️

True story @psychobutthead my coworker went in for her first scan after becoming pregnant from their first IUI (!) Only to have the doctor say he didn't see a yolk sac and to come back in a couple days i.e. Christmas Eve. I asked her a bunch of questions probing for more info.... Turned out to be a fellow who was just having trouble, and everything was fine when she was scanned by another doctor 2 days later... Hoping it turns out to be a similar situation for you, as well. ❤️
@psychobutthead After suffering a loss, all of these feelings are completely normal and valid. As @BusinessWife said, I'm sure your mind is doing its best to shield itself from more emotional trauma. It's tough for just about anyone to get through these early months, always wondering if everything is okay, so having had a previous heartbreak, it makes sense that you're extra on edge. Then after that atrocious appointment... Acknowledge all of your emotions and thoughts, but also be gentle to yourself. The unknown is scary, but there's still plenty to celebrate here in this moment. Praying you get some comforting answers soon.
Hey everyone, I do have a confirmed miscarriage and have been having heavy bleeding over the holidays. We’re very sad but have had great family support while processing the news. This is my second miscarriage (has one before my healthy 19 month old boy was born) but praying that it will be my last. I know I’ll get to meet my 2 angel babies in heaven one day.

I thought if I avoided reading this thread it wouldn’t happen to me but here I am.... light cramping and brown spotting when I wipe for over 24hrs now.... praying it doesn’t get worse or red.... 😢 I’m heart broken....
