Re: Group 2 Check In: Week of Dec 2 (due 6/7-6/13)

  • EDD / weeks+days: 12+5

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: hopefully finding out by the end of the week!

Baby is the size of a(n): plum?

    Upcoming appointments: mid December

Raves/Rants/how are you feeling? Feeling good. Nervous about the gender because my 3yo will be very upset if it's not a girl (he's been begging for a sister for about 6 months to 1 year now....)

Questions: anyone else tried a fetal Doppler? I'm hoping to get one in a few days. Any tips?

GTKY: let's focus on the positive ;-) What's been your favorite moment of this pregnancy (or in general your favorite part)? We had a kind of rough weekend, nothing major, just two days in row with really extra fussy kids... Monday wasn't really better and I thought I might just lose it. Then my husband gets home from work and hides something behind his back. He brought me a chocolate bar because the weekend was rough. :D it so made my day and the next day and probably all week. :D especially because this doesn't happen often :D

  • EDD / weeks+days:.  6/7, so 13w2d

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: green

Baby is the size of a(n): lemon

Upcoming appointments: 12/23 for quick checkup

Raves/Rants/how are you feeling? Feeling good, other than RLP!  Thank goodness for maternity pants, bc this bump is huge!

    Questions: none

GTKY: let's focus on the positive ;-) What's been your favorite moment of this pregnancy (or in general your favorite part)?  Favorite moment was seeing baby wiggle around and hearing the heartbeat!

@yesimpeeingagain I use my Doppler once a day for reassurance.  Just remember baby is still super low, just barely above your pelvic bone.

  • @lwhrmomma IKWYM about maternity pants! I don’t know what happened between this week and last, but there’s no hiding this bump anymore!
@yesimpeeingagain My 2.75yo has been inconsistent with her requests. Hopefully your lo will be excited about a younger sibling either way! I think 90% of finding out for us is to just to be able to tell our lo if she’s getting a brother or sister. There’s plenty of time to prepare either way at this point at least! Or there’s always #3, Ha!

    EDD / weeks+days: 13+2

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: I think PINK!!! I just got the results sent from labcorp, so I THINK I’m interpreting this correctly.

Baby is the size of a(n): lipstick 💄

Upcoming appointments: eh, couple weeks away

Raves/Rants/how are you feeling? Ok. I’m glad I finally resumed trying to exercise the last couple nights. I think I’ve been trying to solve any discomfort with eating, and that has not been a helpful solution.

Questions: anyone else having trouble realizing what your body is asking for?

GTKY: Maybe seeing the first bfp or maybe telling mh or maybe seeing that this little one made her way to my uterus. Or maybe getting to type HER instead of a him/her. Ah, I’m just so excited that it’s starting to be really real now.
  • Hey y’all! @yesimpeeingagain chocolate would always be the way to my heart. That’s amazing.

@begging4abump that’s so exciting! Congratulations on your daughter!!

    EDD / weeks+days: June 12th so 12w4d

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: not yet! So jealous of you ladies with the genetic testing!

Baby is the size of a(n): macaron! Yum

Upcoming appointments: Thursday for check up

Raves/Rants/how are you feeling? Some days are better. I run out of Unisom tonight so I’m going to try nausea meds free tomorrow. Pray for me! The headaches have started though. Such a weird symptom!

Questions: anyone used threadup? Any reviews?

GTKY: let's focus on the positive ;-) What's been your favorite moment of this pregnancy (or in general your favorite part)?
Most of this pregnancy has been so miserable from vomiting and it was planned so no one has been too surprised yet when we’ve told them which was my favorite part the first time. But we’re still so excited. I think my favorite was still finding out we were pregnant or maybe my appointment at exactly 6w where there was already a strong heartbeat. I’m hoping that as I feel better I start to be excited for more moments/it feels
more real. I wish I could go back and remind myself that When you’re in the depths of first tri it’s okay that it’s hard to look ahead!

  • @begging4abump it would have to be #4, but that'd be okay with me ;-)
  • EDD / weeks+days: June 12 / 12w5d

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out on Saturday! My Panorama results came in after 14 days - I made my midwives call the company directly for the results. I have a feeling they were ready a week ago and there was just an issue with sending to my doctor. Frustrating!

Baby is the size of a(n): Toy soldier.

Upcoming appointments: Friday for a routine midwife check at 13 weeks. Hello 2nd trimester! NT scan and NIPT results were all low risk so I am feeling relaxed going into the next stage :)

Raves/Rants/how are you feeling? Feeling pretty good, nothing major to complain about. Rave: can't wait to find out the sex on Saturday! We're doing a small reveal party with family. We did the same with DS and it was really memorable to all find out together. Rant: my sister picked up the results and knows the sex already and it's killing me that I won't know for another 4 days!

    Questions: none

GTKY: let's focus on the positive ;-) What's been your favorite moment of this pregnancy (or in general your favorite part)? Hearing the heartbeat on my home doppler. Soon it will be feeling the baby kicks!

  • EDD/weeks+ days: June 11 12 wks 6 days

Team finding out, and I can’t wait. I feel like it’s a girl.

Baby is the size of: an ice cream scoop

Upcoming appointments: I go again New Years eve

Rants/raves/how are you feeling?: I’ve had a cold for over a week, but as far as pregnancy symptoms I feel better. I’m getting a bump, but I can’t wait until it’s an obvious she’s pregnant bump.

GTKY: my NT scan yesterday was amazing. I can’t believe how much the baby has changed from 8 weeks until now. Seeing it move around and stretch out it’s legs was everything. I could’ve sat there all day.
  • EDD / weeks+days: 12w6d

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue!

Baby is the size of a(n): Apricot (I love seeing all the different comparisons on this board; the ice screen scoop is the best :D )

    Upcoming appointments: Dec 27

Raves/Rants/how are you feeling? Ok overall, nothing to report!

Questions: What home dopplers is everyone using? (lwhrmomma) I was curious and checked amazon but they only have one or two, and neither had any reviews.

GTKY: let's focus on the positive ;-) What's been your favorite moment of this pregnancy (or in general your favorite part)? Probably getting the confirm that everything looked good at the first ultrasound.
  • @mariabele I have a Sonoline B and Aquasonic ultrasound gel. My sister bought it in 2014 when she was pregnant with her first and we've passed in back and forth since then during all of our pregnancies.

  • Just wanted to update that the appointment went well! My clinic ultrasounds every appointment (MFMs) so it’s fun to see baby slowly turning into Even more of a baby. They have a nose! At 13w they wouldn’t guess on boy or girl for me though but I tried! Next appointment isn’t for three weeks (instead of the every two I’ve been doing) and they’ll start cervical checks (extra precaution after I tore during delivery of first) and do more blood work to make sure my Lupus isn’t going into a flare. Yay!

  • @alli392 I'm a bit jealous of you guys that get an ultrasound at every appointment! I was looking forward to seeing the baby look more baby-like at 12 weeks (haven't seen it since 7.5) but they only did the fetal doppler for the heart beat. Still cool but a little disappointing.
  • @mariabele there are pros and cons for sure! I oftentimes wish I could just be “normal” and do just t he Doppler. Fewer appointments, less time spent at each appointment (which frequently takes about two hours for each and I’ve been doing one every two weeks), and less stress about each one when it’s coming. The ultrasound is one of the few perks when I’m not in a rush :) once you hit third tri, the ultrasound doesn’t even feel as special since you’re feeling baby kick. That being said-it was really fun this first trimester to watch baby develop! Can’t wait to see the next few stages!
