@lizanet +1 to an awful vivid (loss) dream last night and cramping...even on progesterone still. FX this is all just normal pregnancy stuff, I hope Friday goes perfectly.

@runwmusic I think I am swinging between dont care and cant stop myself and then I feel so bad two minutes later. The restart the cycle again in 5 minutes.
@kerco925 YES! I sent several way-too-angry-for-the-situation work emails today. Midway through the day, I had tell myself to chill out or else this'll end up in my quarterly review.
@mariabele yeah I got very..um..assertive....in a meeting yesterday with my boss and my boss's boss...and various other much-higher-than-me people in it, and I'm a little worried about how I came across.
sigh. Already with nasty SPD. Every step hurts. How much longer to go??

I feel like my worst symptom lately has been constipation! I couldn’t really stomach veggies the first 9 weeks of being pregnant.. but this week I finally ate a few salads. I’ve been craving fruit so eating a ton of that but mostly fruit and carbs. I also recently woke up with a headache everyday this week! The tiredness hasn’t gotten better... basically I feel hungover everyday.. hopefully we feel better in a few weeks!
Does anyone have any tips that work for constipation? It’s getting worse and worse arghhh. I think I just need to consistently take Metamucil until things regulate. GROSS
Guise any pregnancy-safe tips for fighting off a yeast infection at home? OTC stuff? (I’ve read nystatin is considered safe vaginally.) I’m willing to try yogurt 😩

@hayhay2501 I've been eating prunes which has been helping the constipation. I tried prune juice but it was just gross. The actual prunes aren't so bad though.
So excited. I get to stop my progesterone today at 10 weeks! A little nervous but also hoping some of my symptoms are side effects that can start to fade now 🙏🏻

@runwmusic I know RLP isnt supposed to happen super early, but I have had something that feels like it on and off since the beginning, especially at night. Today, I feel almost as if my uterus is bruised, with soreness on both sides. I'm having all sorts of interesting pains recently
@hayhay2501@cookiemonstermomma11 Last pregnancy I started out constipated from a med I was on and battled it the whole time. So here’s the constipation spiel, because it’s important to help prevent hemorrhoids:
You can start out gentle. Eat some prunes. Take a stool softener like Colace once to see how it affects you. Softeners are fine, anything that is a stimulant is not.
For maintenance throughout: Go light on bananas. They actually contribute to constipation. Daily additional fiber. I start with just fiber gummies and if that’s not working, Metamucil. Kiwis are supposed to help. I never saw a real effect. Chia helps. I’ll do a tablespoon or so in yogurt. But you gotta eat it quick when it just adds crunch. Drink so much extra water. Squatty potty was really a help. H hates it & is embarrassed for people to see it. I don’t care. OB got me terrified of horrible hemorrhoids that needed surgery but had to wait until after delivery. You can also improvise. Like Costco laundry detergent containers. If you have the urge, do your best to not put it off. Supposedly if your body gets used to you ignoring those messages, it’ll send them less and less. If you find you need it, I was doing colace about every other day. But like I said, start gentle until you know how it affects you. Adding magnesium was what I think saved me in the end. I’ll be adding it much sooner this time.

Dreams are insane. Insomnia is the worst. I can't tell if I already have rlp or just my c section scar acting up. How early did everyone else get rlp?
I get RLP pretty early on, but only with movement, and it's more off to one side or the other.
With my first pregnancy post section I had a lot of pulling and tugging and sharp twinges at internal scar, lower down than RLP, and occurring all over that area, but more often centered. Pretty sure it was adhesions breaking up-little pockets of extra scar tissue that formed fur,mg healing but are now sticking some things together that shouldn't be stuck. It's pretty common, but can feel concerning for sure.
I'm noticing none of that this time, now that I've already had a pregnancy with vaginal delivery after my section. Fingers crossed I don't get it later either.

@kiki75 I feel like I’m in the same boat as you were! So constipated! I go once a week.. and normally I end up bleeding (not out of my butt). What kind of magnesium did you buy? I’ve been eating apples.. maybe I’ll try prunes.. I don’t want to be running to the bathroom either so I am scared to try Colace.. and thinking of fiber supplements makes me scared that it will add to the bloat! I’ve been eating yogurt, apples, a few salads this week.. but I feel huge and bloated.
Also, having a weird lower back ache on my right side only.. it’s not hurting but just more of an ache.. is that from the expanding uterus? I’m 11 weeks today! And this is my first.. so everything is new to me. Does the Constipation get better later?
Headaches every night for the past three days. I took Tylenol ... Very reluctantly..... Wondering if anyone has any other remedies that help!? I don't want to take any drugs on a daily basis
@cookiemonstermomma11 I knowww. It's so hard, I really didn't want to. I resisted but I couldn't sleep and my husband was like "what is worse, going to work on no sleep or the Tylenol that your doctor said was safe?!" ... So I caved. But if this is going to be a daily thing I am not doing Tylenol daily. I drank so much water, it wasn't from dehydration. I used the Saje peppermint halo and that helped a bit .... Ugh so hard! At least with the nausea ginger tea or eating something helped immensely. Headaches are so much worse!
@cookiemonstermomma11 Colace isn't a laxative, it's just a stool softener, it definitely has never caused any explosions for me. Some people have constipation the whole time.

@lo_c@cookiemonstermomma11 You can get the lower dose acetaminophen 325 mg. If you’re hydrated, are eating so it’s not blood sugar, you can try things like pressure points and relaxation tactics, but it really is okay to take the acetaminophen. I tried to take it as little as possible but when you have hormone headaches, there’s little else to do if you have to function.
As as far as constipation goes, it tends to be the kind of thing where constipation begets constipation. It leads to straining and can lead to hemorrhoids, fissures... basically, there is serious motivation to stay on top of it. Colace is just a softener, not a stimulant. It should not lead to any emergency issues. It never has for me but you can start just taking it on the weekend when you have an easier schedule until you know how it affects you. For any additional fiber, the gummies don’t give me any bloat and getting things moving should help with that, too, anyways so even if it’s worse short term, it should help long term. Honestly, I’d hit up the grocery store tomorrow and go all in on getting prunes, fiber supplements of one kind or another, Colace, etc. and try to get ahead of it. Try to at least go on a walk as some exercise can help and hydrate even more than standard.

Remember ladies tylenol is safe. Caffeine is safe as long as its under 200mg. Sometimes taking a 200mg tylenol with a little soda can help tremendously when nothing else works. Also make sure you get SLEEP. I also use dr teals relaxation scents(body oils, lotions, and shower gel) it works wonders. It will help with any aches and pains. Surprisingly helped me with nausea too!
If you get tension headaches or migraines, Tylenol does also make a version with caffeine, making it more similar to Excedrin. Yes, not ideal, but when you need it you need it (and occasionally having the extra caffeine is ok). I verified with the pharmacist in a moment of panic several weeks ago when I felt a big one coming on at work, and again with my doctor. Last week she also told me it was fine to use Flonase, which I totally need to breathe at night in the winter. I was super excited
Update on my constipation- I was literally about to go buy prunes, Metamucil, colace, that magnesium calm powder.. all the things to get moving... and Saturday morning I think I was just so full and finally went... and went 3 more times that day and then more today on Sunday! Feeling soooo much better!
And I caved and took Tylenol for my headache as well and totally felt better. I’m already taking Claritin daily because at 7 weeks I got the worst bloody nose ever (45 mins of gushing blood). I almost went to the ER then it stopped. My dr told me to take Claritin to help with the congestion and I haven’t had one since that day!
Doctor said both Tylenol and Claritin were safe. I think my pregnant friends made me feel guilty because they don’t take anything and refuse to.. which is annoying
