@noranorabobora@amb0924 i started on our equivalent of lovenox daily injections a few weeks back now too. DH gives me mine every evening too and some hurt a lot more than others. I have a leftover from dd pouch of fat below my bump that i inject into for them but i still get bruises there sometimes from them. Dont you just love the glamour of pregnancy!
28 week appointment went really well yesterday. I'm measuring good, baby's heartbeat is good. She's still lying across me breach, which is a bit annoying. Gotta start doing cat/cow and squats to get her to moveeeee. You have 12 weeks missy.
I thought my glucose test would be at my appointment yesterday but nope. It's at the lab so I'm going in today to get that done with all the other blood work and going up to OB to get my flu and tdap vaccines (same building different floor) done today too. Imma human pincushion today LOL!
@stashattack still lots of time to move! The pin cushion thing really isn't an exaggeration. Maybe this is why men don't do well with needles and blood...
@biolprof right? Though I will say there's a woman in our birthing class who is legit terrified of needles and was like having concerns about the hospital needing to just get an IV line started when they admit you for L&D and asking if it was really necessary or could they make it optional. IDK if I've ever met someone that bad with needles before.
@stashattack I've never known a woman that terrified but definitely a male grad school friend hated them so much he almost fainted at the flu shot every year. He did it anyways but boy it was not fun for him!
@noranorabobora oh yea- I've got some fluff- I wonder if having two have just made the belly a little harder. My doctor told me I could do it to the fatty part of my upper thigh- but that sounds horrible so I'd rather not. I was just made aware that when I make the switch to Heparin soon, it's THREE shots a day, which i'm just like- COME ON HOW MUCH MORE! (I guess I'm in the whining group today too)
@amb0924@leprechaunlady I haven't gotten much bruising this whole time and I think it's because i inject super slowly. It helps prevent the stinging/burning and I think it helps prevent bruising too. I'm not looking forward to the heparin injections either. I hate all the pokes, even though I know it's a necessary evil, and I can't imagine doing even MORE.
