@sjb2215 My daughter is 3 and in a bed with rails on the side. We will take the rails off when she’s a little older. She moved when she was 2.5 or so. I was worried but she comes to us first thing and really is pretty good- smooth transition. Also since you can get away with just a bassinet or playpen for a while you could just wait and see before moving your older kid. I think I only moved my daughter out of the bassinet at 4 months, so by then your older one will be over two, right? Then you can decide if you spring for a crib or if your older one is ready for the next thing! One idea...
