  • @misshelen86 Not sure if this is typical, but I had a possible cyst at my first appointment. When I went in for my next scan a month later, it was gone. My dr didn't seem super worried when he first saw it, so I think they are common.

Thank you @misshelen86 and @mokay19 I am so relieved and happy! I have my saline sono on Friday which my nurse said will also count as my baseline. And then I think if all looks good I will start estrace. No FET date yet but I am guessing somewhere around early-mid October.

  • @emeraldduchess if you have to get pre-authorization, then I'd have them put it in now for next cycle since it can take a couple weeks.  But then call the insurance after a week or so to check on it because if you do, sometimes they can take care of it.  Hopefully you won't need the authorization but I think it's good to put it in just in case.

@inthewoods23 sorry to hear about the first embryo, but I'm so happy that the second thawed perfectly and was placed nicely!  Hopefully it burrows in for the long haul!

Also... I don’t see why you couldn’t start the IUI right away. I say, ask about it!

  • @emeraldduchess As far as work goes, are you able to take half days? For my IUI's I usually just took a few hours off for the procedure and then went back to work. You could try to be vague and just say you have a doctor appt.

  • @kpearse99 I read that it can happen pretty early. Googling again one site says between 1-5 days after transfer. Some people do seem to get positives 4-5dpt.

Minimal cramping is totally normal after the procedure which is probably all I'm feeling. But I like to think otherwise!

  • Um @inthewoods23 I hope it's the real thing!! The odds are in your favor (:

@emeraldduchess When I get to IUI time, I'll probably just say "doctor's appointment" or something vague like that. Since I have the time off, I don't feel like I "owe" anybody an excuse. I think my main concern is that you never know exactly what day it's going to be until right before. :/

Also getting major FOMO with all these upcoming IUIs (@emeraldduchess @b_1029 @shoogapoff @kpearse99)!!
    emeraldduchessshoogapoffNYTino24
  • @emeraldduchess In mine usually I would know a few days before hand. When you find out your follies are big enough to trigger. I've kept things pretty vague with my boss. Between the monitoring, IUI's, *TW* D&C's /*TW*, and IVF stuff, there's been a lot of time off, but I just kept it to I have an appt, I need a surgery or procedure. He hasn't pried for more info so I haven't given it. I don't think you should have to share the details if you don't want to, but if it's easier , calling out sounds like a good plan.
