August Symptoms

Re: August Symptoms

  • I’ve been getting carsick almost every drive. My nausea outside of the car has been pretty manageable, but it’s just so much worse once we hit the road. I’m about to buy one of those seasickness bracelets.
  • 6w tomorrow. Stomach upset is getting real. Subway is a cave of odorous horrors.

  • I have been drinking cold water like crazy. More so then normal, also I loose my appetite all the time is that normal.
  • @emsnedds I wear those seabands all the time! I have a pair in every bag and in the car. I don't have nausea as a symptom, but I get motion sickness, and they really do help. Or it's a placebo effect. Either way, relief!
  • The first 6 or so weeks I had some light cramping throughout the day, and for the last two I’ve started to feel nauseous without enough snacks and have food aversions. Generally speaking, I’m feeling really good and that makes me nervous. Like I don’t even feel pregnant 90% of the time and I’m almost 8 weeks. Still no US for another week and a half - I’m really hoping all is well in there. This is my first pregnancy but my mom had trouble carrying healthy babies to term. It makes me feel better reading all of your comments & seeing that there’s quite a few other people in the same boat!
  • I'm starting to feel worse at 5w6d which is easing my anxiety a bit, like everyone else I can barely wait to get to my US appointment!
  • @emibemily I can't fathom having to take the subway with the all the smells
  • 6w1d with baby #2. I have sore burning nipples, occasionally cramping with a "full" uterus feeling. I'm randomly a little queasy and will gag randomly. No full blown morning sickness yet.
I'm tired and pretty bitchy/argumentative. My poor guy... lol
First u/s is 09/09 so my biggest symptom for now is anxiety. Including mini panic attacks/tight chest.
    Thanks for sharing ladies!
  • I'm tired, and I have so much gas it's making me feel full/nauseous so I'm not eating much. I had eggs and toast this AM, and just struggled down a bowl of oatmeal. MH is making hamburgers right now and the smell is not good.

  • @babybison I’m happy to hear those bracelets work for you! Do you have a favorite brand or store you buy them from? I’m not even sure where to get them.
  • @emsnedds I get the actual sea-bands brand, and usually from Amazon because I have Prime. But I think they're in CVS and Walgreens. They have purple ones called sea-band mama, to cater to pregnant people, but they're more expensive and literally the same bands 😆

The nurse practitioner doing my ultrasound today said she didnt expect me to feel any worse than I do right now. I don’t have very many symptoms except for some nausea to begin with, so I’m hoping this just continues. I guess symptoms don’t mean much! It made me all the more anxious for my ultrasound to see what was going in there.
  • I guess I couldn't escape full on morning sickness. First morning of actually getting sick.

  • @Kathryn0903 Me too! I've felt on and off a little queasy for a couple weeks, but actually threw up early this morning for the first time. My husband and FIL want to go to the state fair tomorrow and I just don't know if I can do it. :(
  • I'm 7 weeks and I have nausea, major bloat but the craziest thing is feeling so hungry (when I ate 2 hours earlier) and then after eating like half of a normal sized meal I feel so full (like I just had two super size meals). is this normal?? 🤔

I also totally lost my sense of smell for a few weeks 😂😂.
  • @nicoleyolee I remember that when I was pregnant with DS. It was pretty strange lol

  • The boob pain yall... Any remedies?! I can barely sleep because they get squished when Im on my sides and Im uncomfortable on my back.  Other than that there's a def feeling of queeziness that just lingers until about 3-4pm and then Im starving no matter what until Im asleep. What gives?! LoL.

Oh, also craving soup big time, which is not something I really ever eat.
  • @liselotte77 sometimes the best way to get to sleep without squishing my boobs is to tuck a pillow under one of my hips. That way I’m not sleeping flat on my back but my boobs are still upright. I’m sorry it’s so uncomfortable right now, and I hope you feel better in the second tri.
  • @liselotte77 I started sleeping in sports bras. It helps tremendously! Granted, my boob pain has decreased in intensity, but it helped when it was at its worst.
  • I just started with the nausea. I feel like I constantly have an upset stomach. I didn't have any of this last pregnancy and am not happy about this turn of events. I'm sorry you guys have been going through this!

I was mostly sick later in my pregnancy last time, but I've had pretty severe all day nausea so far and I'm definitely not happy lol

  • The nausea is miserable! It makes me just want to sleep all day so I don’t have to deal with it.. but then the hunger takes over and I have to get up to eat!
  • I’ve had a cramp in my calf since 4 am that reminded me that I had horrible Charlie horses with DS. It sucks.

  • @mflowers929 & @KFrob.  Ok thank goodness  I'm not the only one.

I also just got some blood test results back and my thyroid levels are high.. now just have to wait to see what that means from the doctor but maybe that has something to do with it for me!
  • I’m a STM and the symptoms so far have been very different than they were with my first.  I’m only about 5 weeks at this point per my LMP but my boobs have been super sore for the past 2 weeks (it’s one of the reasons I took a test in the first place).  I have had bad nausea on and off, but haven’t actually gotten sick yet so hoping it doesn’t get worse.  My sense of smell is definitely in overdrive.  The kitchen sink and garbage are basically a nightmare.  I’ve also been feeling very exhausted and it has made the work day a struggle.  Thank goodness for this long weekend and all the naps I’ve been able to take!   I’ve also been having back pain and just overall body aches. I will say that all of these symptoms seem to come and go and some days have been better than others.

@emibemily YES THE SUBWAY!!! I never realized just how many smells are in that cave or how many people need showers and hygiene!
