@miss.sally@laurenm2123 I'm so glad to hear the unisom worked well! I think I will pick some up along with some B6. I need a solid night of sleep so badly
@EmilyLove25 I had been a vegetarian for almost 15 years last pregnancy and I craved chicken wings so bad that I gave in. I’ve kept eating meat since I do most of the cooking now and it’s just easier to make 1 dinner for all of us then a separate one for me.

@chichiphin@EmilyLove25@miss.sally just checking in- had my ultrasound today and everything is normal! I am measuring a week behind where I thought I was so am 7w6d. Thank you all for responding to me
Cross-posted question: what is everyone's plans for in-room bassinet? For DS we used a RNP, which was obviously recalled, so I'm not sure what the best alternative is.
@stassischroeder My cousin got the Halo one and it seemed really cool. I think I’ll use that as a launching point and then see where the research takes me. DH is a provider in the ED so co-sleeping with the kids is a big no-no at our house. We used a Moses basket with the other two, but I anticipate wanting #3 to be in our room longer, so as to not wake the others, so I want a good option.
Our friends have a Halo and I might ask if we can borrow it. The only thing is they’re pretty small and I think only good for like 4 months (especially if you make big babies like I do).
@stassischroeder@RanFan28@kantobean I used a hand-me-down Halo bassinet from my SIL and I really liked it. It took DS a while to sleep in it. He wanted to be in my arms at all times, but eventually after repeatedly putting him in it night after night, he eventually would sleep in it and we stationed it right by my side of the bed. I like how the side will bend down with you while you lay the baby in the bassinet (helped me not wake him up). I am really hoping we can borrow the bassinet from my SIL again bc that sh*t is expensive. She is having twins in September though so we'll see if I can take it. Her son refused to sleep in it. I think we kept him in there until 5 months. It's a definite no-no once they can sit up on their own from lying down.
@stassischroeder So when DS was about 7 months, I just said "F IT." We had been using a great PNP, but I knew I'd want him next to me for (at least) a year (ended up being 13 months), so I made DH move the crib into our room and put it RIGHT next to my side of the bed hahaha. I'll be doing that again this time (if FX all goes well), and I'll take a picture to show just how ridiculous it looks hahaha. That isn't helpful I know haha.
We had DD sleep in the UppaBaby bassinet in the stand. It’s approved for overnight sleeping, and was one less thing to buy/find a place for. FX this baby likes that bassinet too! I’m also interested in both the Halo and the dock a tot, but both are expensive and probably unnecessary. Hopefully I’ll start getting hand me downs from my moms club soon!!
We used a pnp in our room first with the bassinet insert at the top (not the cuddle cove or whatever it’s called on the different brands but the one that’s used the actual pnp mattress and was the full length of the pnp)

@laurenm2123 damn girl. My goal was to have DS in our room a year and we lasted 10 months. He wanted to party and play whenever we were in the room with him and for my sanity (read: sleep) we transferred him to his room.
@stassischroeder The pregnancy ticker where the little baby (or elephants or feet) crawl towards 9 months. The Bump used to have a way to add that to your signature (you can still pull an html code from an external site’s ticker I think). I was just wondering if I missed something and the tickers are frowned upon now. I liked my little crawling baby ticker last time. (Although I am always on mobile so I never see signatures anyway so I don’t know why I am so sad about the lost tickers.)
@silverhope yeah I know you can still add them to your siggy, but agree that you don't see them very often. They're not frowned upon - at least not that I know of!
@stassischroeder We did the PNP bassinet setting until DS2 outweighed it (he was a chunker), then we moved the crib into the room. Once we got to the sleep regression stage, we transitioned to bed-sharing with a Dock A Tot.
Possible FFTC but DS2 still sleeps in bed with us. I think we'll try to either transition him to a twin next to our bed or into DS1's room before baby #3 comes around. For now, he still nurses several times through the night so we haven't started on any transitions yet.
@silverhope, I added a ticker, but may put it in the spoiler section if it's too annoying for the group.
Thanks for asking about bassinets....I'm not sure what we'll do, but I really appreciate everyone's input/experience. I have a practically brand new PNP on hand, but feeling totally clueless/overwhelmed.
@silverhope TB doesn't do siggies anymore, like--you can't set them up through TB. You should be able to set one up via FF and then put the HTML code in your sig, but I was trying to get that to work the other day and it wouldn't!
@stassischroeder We used the Fisher Price Rock N Play Bassinet that's flat, not inclined like the recalled one, and we loved it. It's pretty cheap too. We started with a pack n play, but within a few days I ordered this because it was much easier to move around the house. When he started to outgrow it, we moved him to the pack n play, but he was in his own room at 3.5 months and then we all slept better. I'm a safe sleep freak, and I plan to do the same this time around. https://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Rock-Play-Portable-Bassinet/dp/B008DDPL32
