@stellegalascione Yeah, how many days post transfer is that first beta for you? That's a great couple of betas!
@marfi236 Such wonderful news. I'm excited for you.
@aera11 I hope that your beta comes back strong and wish a healthy pregnancy for you. Every relationship is different, but at this late date, I'd tell him tomorrow when you get the beta phone call. It might be the ray of sunshine (so corny) in what sounds like a rough stretch for him.

**TR-LC** My RE did three with my first pregnancy, but things have been a bit different this time around, I'll be almost 7 weeks if the interweb FET due date calculators are correct. With us transferring two that first transfer, they did an early 5 week ultrasound to check placement, then we had a two more after that, to check for heartbeats at almost seven weeks and one at 10 weeks before they released me to my OB. He almost kept me through the entire first trimester.
@vanessa_lynne ugh I hate that this process feels like gambling at a casino in some ways. Even when we do everything we can and the procedures and meds goes perfectly we can still lose. I'm so glad that your family and friends helped you through the initial bad news, process how ever you need to. I'll be creepy lurking the Jan FET thread for you and @inthewoods23. Tacos are never a bad idea, never! DH looks at me askance when I don't feel good, cause I'll ask for a burrito or taco, its just my comfort food. : )

In the limbo wait till ultrasound here. I really haven't let myself get excited yet. DH is though, he patted on my belly yesterday. Such a cutie.

@stella_700 they did my first beta at 13dp5dfet I tested at home at 8dp and got a nice dark line.  The embryo was already hatching when they did the transfer so my guess is it implanted really early and that’s why my numbers are higher.

Had my beta this morning and got the levels back.

First beta is 110 and I'm 4 weeks today!

@lrynwnab thinking of you today. Hoping for good news post-beta!

@stella_700 How are you hanging in there? US is soon! Only a few days left.

Started my withdrawal bleed on Wednesday and man oh man, I forgot how awful that was the first time. The emotional significance plus the actual abdominal discomfort. Bleh. Sorry if that's too much sharing, but it certainly feels like adding insult to injury when it's worse than any periods I've had (even at my advanced age of 39). On the good side of things, I enjoyed "reconnecting" (aka amazing sex lol) with my partner and he has been very open with me about how he is feeling emotionally after our recent failure. I'm blessed to have someone who isn't afraid or ashamed to tell me that he is feeling the loss and struggling more after our second failure. He feels guilty as he hasn't had to endure the testing, the needles, and the whole physical side of the experience, but I assured him he isn't any less a part of this than I am. As hard as loss can be, it's up to us to decide how we respond to it. The stress can push people away from one another, or it can bring us closer together if we blaze through it together. My love for this man runs so deeply  <3

I hope you are all well and taking care of yourselves through this process. :)

@vanessa lynne thank you so much! I had my beta this morning. To be honest I am not optimistic. I took some home PTs. It went from faint line on Tuesday, at 5 dpt to a little darker on Wednesday at 6 dpt, but Thursday and this morning it has been getting lighter, like, really light. So I'm fearful it's a chemical. Still waiting to hear.

    I got my beta at 8 dp5dt

It's at 8. Not good. I go in again on Sunday. As I said above I'm not surprised. Earlier this week I felt nauseated with sore breasts; that is gone now. My beta was at 123 for my first pg in 2017 which was successful. I have some lower back pain so am fearful it could be ectopic (even though that basically seems impossible with an ET). My dr will be there Sunday so I'll ask her about that.

Hi guys! Sorry I have been MIA but I was dealing with a rollercoaster of emotions last week after beta. My first number came back at 19 so they wanted me to repeat two days later but told me it is most likely a chemical. So I went back two days later and that came back at 34. Went back again two days after that and it was 85. I then went back three days later and it was 227. My nurse said to be cautiously optimistic but that the doubling (even if low) is a good sign. They told me no more bloodwork and I have an ultrasound scheduled on the 21st. I don't know what to think. I am obviously happy but I am really scared too. I had already accepted this transfer to be a chemical and now we have hope. I am just praying this little embryo decided to implant late but thrives from now on.

Well, I'm going to be back for another FET in the next month or two.  My first beta at 9dp5dt was 110, my second at 14dp9dt was 357 and today at 16dp5dt it was down to 178.  I'll go back at the start of my next cycle or next Friday (which ever comes first) to see if I'm back down to zero yet.  If I am, I can move right in to this next cycle, otherwise, I'll have to wait a month.

Hi all. My clinic has me on estrogen only right now. I have been taking it for six days. I did an ultrasound today and they said I am good to go for an FET in one week, and to start crinone and prometrium sunday and they didnt need any blood or ultrasounds. I dont have any lupron or trigger shots in my protocol.

should I be getting another ultrasound before or day of transfer? Do you guys have your last ultrasound a week before transfer? I wasnt sure if that was normal. I only have one embryo, I am nervous.

@casey301 my last US before my FET was a week before as well. I had the US on a Tuesday, last lupron injection on Wednesday, started the first shot of PIO on Thursday, started Endometrin on Friday and the FET was the following Tuesday. The US, I think, is just to make sure no follicles are growing.

I have my own question. For those that have failed FETs before, what was your next cycle like? I decided to do OPKs and temping again just to track the cycle even though nothing is going on this month, but my OPKs have almost no 2nd line and it's been that way all week. I'm wondering if ovulation can be really delayed or is the following cycle sometimes an an-O cycle?

@vanessa_lynne Thanks!  I actually had my follow up appointment this morning and I have some news!  I started my current cycle on Wednesday night so today I went in for my follow up blood work to see what my levels were because ideally we wanted to go right on to another transfer this cycle.

Well, in order to do the cycle my beta had to come back as negative, which at my clinic is 5 or less.  So my beta came back at 7 and thankfully my RE is letting me go forward and take the meds and then I’ll go back for another blood test next Friday and then as long as my beta has gone down to be 5 or less we’re looking good for a transfer on 11/6!
