Everything is fine with DH's SA, he is actually above average for count, motility and morphology. Now he is convinced that his testicles are full of mini-Olympic swimmers. I'll let him enjoy feeling like a unicorn for a while. Now if I could just get him to stop giggling when someone says "fallopian tube"...
As for me, this week's WTF moment brought to you by my ovaries and AMH level. My AMH came back as 0.97 which would be considered low and borderline DOR. But the scan showed 25 antral follicles, plus my FSH and E2 levels didn't indicate anything abnormal. Sooo...they're retesting my AMH levels because the RE thinks my ovarian reserve is most likely normal. Lucky me got 6 vials of blood drawn today for RPL testing as well as karyotyping for both DH and I. I have to go back tomorrow for one more draw because I got a bit too light-headed before they could finish.
Since I haven't O'ed yet, we're going to try progesterone starting at 3DPO. It's possible my lining is breaking down too soon to allow proper implantation, and it that's the case it could explain our 2 losses. So, long story short, we are, for now, "unexplained IF/RPL". We really like our RE and she didn't push us to jump right to IUI. We'll try progesterone this cycle then follow up once our karyotyping and RPL is back. Now to hope I'll be a unicorn! 🦄
