WWYD? Looks like I ovulated yesterday, ***TW MC mentioned***

just a week after my loss finished (on CD17)

US and all other signs made it look likely. NP said she wouldn’t prescribe progesterone until a BFP, but I still have some left. Would you take it during TWW? FF is predicting a 9 day LP and my RE appointment isn’t until 8/8.

  • @NYTino24 was your lining okay on the ultrasound (above 7mm)? If you haven't actually ovulated, it may make things wonky. Personally, I'd hold off until your next AF just in case your body is doing strange things AL... but that is me.

@chichiphin she said it was thick and agreed that it was likely when I said I thought I’d ovulate that night or tomorrow (which is today). OPKs, CM, and o pain match up along with my normal range of O dates. ETA: I also got my temp rise today. I don’t see an actual measurement here unless that bottom corner of 78mm = 7.8 mm? I can’t read these things and I obviously don’t know what to expect.  (US attached) ETA: this was a NP at the OB

@NYTino24 I’d take it if you’re sure you O-ed, which it sounds like you did. Also, your lining measurements might be that last number off to the far right bottom: 12 mm. Mine was 9 yesterday & doc said they usually see it around 10ish at ovulation. I’m not sure if 12 is within that normal range?
ETA: NM, I see the normal range for lining at O is between 8-16 mm so you’re looking good (if we are all reading the numbers right!)

@NYTino24 the 12 mm is saying that’s the distance from where those points are. They look like it’s measuring from one side to the other of the lining. The 78 is the field of view. You can see they have the zero in the corner and then the point at the 78 is (I’m assuming since it lays it out like a chart) 78 mm away from that zero. Which looks to scale with the point-to-point being 12 mm

@NYTino24 I hope we’re right and the lining was perfect! I still think it’s strange that they wouldn’t give you progesterone until after BFP.... that seems late to me. I would personally take it after confirmed O.

@mokay19 The one of two OBs is on leave and I asked the NP at my MC if I could get it prescribed. She was the one who said no, but I think she’s old school. I’m gonna call and ask the office to speak with a doc and get my progesterone checked again. If I ovulated on CD17, would they do it on 21 or wait? I really wish I hadn’t been persuaded to cancel / reschedule my RE appointment...

PS I took one and then realized I only have 4 more. :(

@NYTino24 I would think they’d be okay with testing it.. especially with your recent MC.  Hopefully when you call the OB, they’ll just refill the prescription rather than making a big deal out of it for you!

  • I don't know where I go anymore, so sorry if you read this update twice. I am benched this month. We have a bunch of tests to prove to insurance that we need IVF and surgery for my uterus: pelvic MRI for me, urologist and another SA for my husband. After these tests my doctor will talk to me about IVF. Meanwhile I am trying to learn as much as possible about the procedures. It seems you need to take bc for a month, hormones shots, a trigger shot and then ER, transfer and wait for BFP. Did I get that right?

Are the stim shots always the same drug or do they vary person to person?

  • @bobbyflies2020 I'm sorry you're benched and that you have to go through so much testing for insurance. I remember a friend of mine had to have multiple fights with her insurance company over IVF, she had to jump through so many hoops each time she did it (3 cycles). I hope that you can get everything done quickly!

  • @bobbyflies2020 I’m still new to IVF but from what my RE has said so far to me, is it will be BCP for 3 weeks then Saline Sono, then BCP 2-3 more weeks then Stims for 10-14 days as needed. Then Trigger for ER. Then fresh transfer could happen 3-5 days later or biopsy and freeze all for testing and do the Transfer the next cycle. Granted part of my process is still to recover from TW a recent MC. So idk if the Saline Sono is necessary for everyone.

And from what I understand there are different protocols which use different meds. Idk the specific meds yet but I know I’ll be doing antagonist protocol with lupron trigger. And the meds and doses will probably depend on how you respond.

Im sorry for the insurance issues. Insurance sucks. I hate how difficult they make things. Fx they resolve it soon so you can move forward.

  • Hey everyone! I'm basically new, haven't been here in a few years.

    Diagnosis (if you've been): PCOS

    Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): I'm starting a Femara round today, monitoring US on CD 13, trigger shot, and timed intercourse

How are things going?: I'm feeling very relieved to be back to trying. We switched REs because ours wanted me to lost fifty more pounds before we could start again. I worked and worked at it and, because PCOS, my weight fluctuated a ton. So, we switched to someone more understanding so I can focus on health (weight loss would be great but one less stress helps) and work on having a baby!

    Any questions?: nope

GTKY: what is something you want to do before summer is over? Hit up the beach!

@BusinessWife THANK YOU SO MUCH! I read your response & literally my first thought was, “Look at this girl, out here saving people’s lives!!!”❤️😆❤️ The trick you gave about breathing & counting really helped. It took my mind off the terror of this big ass needle! Also, once it broke the skin and started going in I realized that was the only painful part. Until I read your detailed instructions I honestly didn’t think I could do it! So again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.♥️

@chichiphin @jennifer_louise @ruby696 @b_1029 Thank you ALL so much for commenting! I actually called MH all elated—like, on Cloud Nine—and told him I finally did it because of all your support & cheerleading. 😘 Y’all are The Best!

(Still, I don’t understand why the progesterone has to be so damn terrifying compared to the Lovenox.)
