@keikilove That is hilarious and I hope you made it in time! That’s so stressful. I imagined this:
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@keikilove thanks! Our anniversary basically got rained out too, but we still got our free slurpees just in time before the downpour. I think I saw somewhere that your anniversary evening was very...fulfilling? 😂Anyway, like everyone else, hoping for the best for you!!!! I can’t believe all the hoops you and YH managed to jump through! C’mon body, give a gal a reasonable heads up here! You definitely had on your cape today!
I just want to thank you all for the support and good vibes. It definitely helped with my somewhat frazzled nerves. This week's events were definitely the craziest part of working with an RE so far, for sure. We were able to go ahead with the IUI--hooray!-- and she ended up following with an HCG shot to make the uterus a most welcoming environment. As always, she reminded me to think positive thoughts only and gave hugs to me & DH afterward. It wound up being a great day.
@chichiphin@hanshotfirst77@emeraldduchess@BusinessWife Apparently we *just* made it in time to fit within the elusive magical window. Doc said she saw a collapsing follicle--indicating that the egg had just released--and that numbers looked good to go for it this morning. I was still having O cramping when we arrived at her office so I'm praying that the timing was really good and not too late.
@NYTino24 Your gif is perfect! That is EXACTLY what it felt like! And for some reason the airports were INSANE today so despite our well-planned arrival/departure we almost missed both flights. Super nutty day, had to remind myself to breathe & stay calm throughout. I also kept seeing @inthewoods23 hatching egg gif in my mind, except I was thinking, "Not yet, little hatchling, not yet!"
@begging4abump Hahaha, yep that was me that had a "fulfilling" anniversary to kick off FW. Oh, the things we share on this app! I'm glad you had a great anni too--love your Slurpee tradition.
@mokay19 Yes, the waiting room good omen was the best thing ever! Doc pointed out that "he" has breasts and lots of little people carved into him too, making him the all-encompassing fertility god. I just love it, she's the best most relatable doctor I've ever met.
@keikilove yay! SO happy that you were able to get your IUI done! I hope all the craziness beforehand leads to good news! 💜 Your RE sounds wonderful, too.
@keikilove Yay for getting it in with a little boost! @emeraldduchess When will you have SA results?
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
WWYD? Looks like I ovulated yesterday, ***TW MC mentioned***
just a week after my loss finished (on CD17)
US and all other signs made it look likely. NP said she wouldn’t prescribe progesterone until a BFP, but I still have some left. Would you take it during TWW? FF is predicting a 9 day LP and my RE appointment isn’t until 8/8.

@NYTino24 was your lining okay on the ultrasound (above 7mm)? If you haven't actually ovulated, it may make things wonky. Personally, I'd hold off until your next AF just in case your body is doing strange things AL... but that is me.
@chichiphin she said it was thick and agreed that it was likely when I said I thought I’d ovulate that night or tomorrow (which is today). OPKs, CM, and o pain match up along with my normal range of O dates. ETA: I also got my temp rise today. I don’t see an actual measurement here unless that bottom corner of 78mm = 7.8 mm? I can’t read these things and I obviously don’t know what to expect. (US attached) ETA: this was a NP at the OB

@NYTino24 I’d take it if you’re sure you O-ed, which it sounds like you did. Also, your lining measurements might be that last number off to the far right bottom: 12 mm. Mine was 9 yesterday & doc said they usually see it around 10ish at ovulation. I’m not sure if 12 is within that normal range? ETA: NM, I see the normal range for lining at O is between 8-16 mm so you’re looking good (if we are all reading the numbers right!)
@NYTino24 the 12 mm is saying that’s the distance from where those points are. They look like it’s measuring from one side to the other of the lining. The 78 is the field of view. You can see they have the zero in the corner and then the point at the 78 is (I’m assuming since it lays it out like a chart) 78 mm away from that zero. Which looks to scale with the point-to-point being 12 mm
Thanks @keikilove@mokay19 I feel like a moron. I don’t know how I didn’t see that. i guess I ignored the right since there weren’t any numbers above it and that’s where my thumb covers when I scroll. Good to know.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@NYTino24 I hope we’re right and the lining was perfect! I still think it’s strange that they wouldn’t give you progesterone until after BFP.... that seems late to me. I would personally take it after confirmed O.
@mokay19 The one of two OBs is on leave and I asked the NP at my MC if I could get it prescribed. She was the one who said no, but I think she’s old school. I’m gonna call and ask the office to speak with a doc and get my progesterone checked again. If I ovulated on CD17, would they do it on 21 or wait? I really wish I hadn’t been persuaded to cancel / reschedule my RE appointment...
PS I took one and then realized I only have 4 more.

@NYTino24 I would think they’d be okay with testing it.. especially with your recent MC. Hopefully when you call the OB, they’ll just refill the prescription rather than making a big deal out of it for you!
I don't know where I go anymore, so sorry if you read this update twice. I am benched this month. We have a bunch of tests to prove to insurance that we need IVF and surgery for my uterus: pelvic MRI for me, urologist and another SA for my husband. After these tests my doctor will talk to me about IVF. Meanwhile I am trying to learn as much as possible about the procedures. It seems you need to take bc for a month, hormones shots, a trigger shot and then ER, transfer and wait for BFP. Did I get that right?
Are the stim shots always the same drug or do they vary person to person?

@bobbyflies2020 I'm sorry you're benched and that you have to go through so much testing for insurance. I remember a friend of mine had to have multiple fights with her insurance company over IVF, she had to jump through so many hoops each time she did it (3 cycles). I hope that you can get everything done quickly!
@bobbyflies2020 I’m still new to IVF but from what my RE has said so far to me, is it will be BCP for 3 weeks then Saline Sono, then BCP 2-3 more weeks then Stims for 10-14 days as needed. Then Trigger for ER. Then fresh transfer could happen 3-5 days later or biopsy and freeze all for testing and do the Transfer the next cycle. Granted part of my process is still to recover from TW a recent MC. So idk if the Saline Sono is necessary for everyone.
And from what I understand there are different protocols which use different meds. Idk the specific meds yet but I know I’ll be doing antagonist protocol with lupron trigger. And the meds and doses will probably depend on how you respond.
Im sorry for the insurance issues. Insurance sucks. I hate how difficult they make things. Fx they resolve it soon so you can move forward.
@bobbyflies2020 I hope you get your protocol and approval fast! I’m sure the waiting is frustrating.

Hi friends, I’m traveling for work & need to do my progesterone injections myself. I remember someone on here does them herself as well, but I can’t remember who or if she recently graduated? I just called MH for guidance & support since he usually does my shots, but I just can’t do it. I tried 5 times—only made myself bleed but couldn’t get the needle in. I do Lovenox injections in my stomach no problem. Any tips for doing PIO in my rear? I can reach it, I just can’t do it hard enough to get the needle in. Thanks!
It may be easier either laying down on your side so you can twist around and get a good angle, or standing on the opposite leg, leaning on the sink/counter. Ideally, no weight bearing on that side. ***n.b. Have your gauze ready and I even lay it on my thigh next to where I'm about to stick, if doing it laying down. (I got a bleeder once that caught me unprepared. Never again!!! Lol)
Once you're cleaned and ready, the stick is the easiest part! Just get yourself in position and jab it FAST, like a dart. Count to three, take a breath and exhale audibly on the jab, then open your eyes (lol) fix your wrist so you can push steady, and go for it! Have the gauze ready when you withdraw the needle, and you're all set! You did it!
I believe in you. If you want to grab an ice cube for the injection site after or heating pad whatever, or just massage the knot, (or try an ice cube before once you have your exact spot, if you feel the need to numb the skin surface), but I stopped doing any of the heat bc it was giving me an allergic response. :/ so it's not even necessary. But do go get yourself a piece of chocolate, cos damn, woman! You just earned it! 😍
@keikilove Not sure if this helps, but my triggers were intramuscular and I would ice the injection site for a couple minutes before I did the injection. That way I couldn't feel it at all. Good luck - you can do it!

@BusinessWife THANK YOU SO MUCH! I read your response & literally my first thought was, “Look at this girl, out here saving people’s lives!!!”❤️😆❤️ The trick you gave about breathing & counting really helped. It took my mind off the terror of this big ass needle! Also, once it broke the skin and started going in I realized that was the only painful part. Until I read your detailed instructions I honestly didn’t think I could do it! So again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.♥️

It may be easier either laying down on your side so you can twist around and get a good angle, or standing on the opposite leg, leaning on the sink/counter. Ideally, no weight bearing on that side. I also did seated and that worked. Just depends on the angle and your level of flexibility that day on whichever side etc.
Hold it in such a way as to prepare to push. Ideally you want to be able to brace your wrist against your body or other fingers idk just for steadiness and stability, rather than push in midair and wiggle all over. So practice your hand position till you find something that feels semi comfortable/ workable.
