@kbrown2385 omg cutest dog ever!
So the vivid dreams are intense. I may or may not have had a dream that involved peeing. And it felt so real I was legit nervous when I woke up to make sure I had not wet the bed. Good news. I didn’t. But good lord
I woke up to pee at 2am and then couldn’t get comfortable to fall back asleep until around 5. Should make for a pleasant day. It’s also ds’ bday so I want to figure out fun things to do but I’m just so tired lol. At the very least, we will make it to playgroup this morning.
I am tireddddd. I even got to sleep by like 10:30 and slept until 7. The exhaustion hit about a week ago, now I wake up and immediately wonder if I can sneak in a nap somehow. I managed to make it into the office, so I'll tough it out.
Any STM+ struggling with the weight gain this time? It might be because I was more comfortable with my pre baby body the first time, and really didn't start showing until close to 16 weeks (DD born Sep 2016). This time, I was under my first pre pregnancy weight (finally! Only took 2 years), but I've maintained a saggy belly with extra skin from stretching, which will likely need surgery to remove, anyway, this time I'm 10+2 and just feel fat. Like everywhere. My arms, neck, everything feels large and it's mentally really bothering me. I'm worried I'll never really look pregnant vs. just fat because of my saggy/extra belly skin. Anyway, sorry for all that word vomit and I hope nothing I said was offensive or insensitive. I loved being pregnant, and know I will again. I know our bodies are amazing and all that. I am also on a progesterone suppository, so some friends keep telling me that's likely what's causing me to feel so much bloating.
Me: 31
DH: 32
Married: Sep 2012
TTC #1: Jan 2015 Baby A (via IUI due to MFI): Sep 2016 born at 35+6
Surprise but very welcome + on 5/16/2019, EDD 1/25/2020
@bosslady925 I started at the exact weight I was when I got pregnant with DS but I am showing wayyy faster this time. I haven’t actually gained any weight but my belly is a lot bigger than normal. I haven’t noticed it as much in the rest of my body. But I’m definitely self conscious about it a bit because I’m pretty sure this just means I’ll be spending even more time in the “looks like I ate too many tacos” stage
@bosslady925 I'm a FTM and already sporting a bump large enough to warrant a run to the maternity store because I couldn't handle real clothes anymore. I haven't gained much weight... Maybe 1-2 pounds at 10 weeks so it's more like things are just rearranging to make my belly protrude. I'm also on progesterone so I wonder if that bloat makes it worse?!
@bosslady925 I’m in the same boat. Started this pregnancy well under what I was for first pregnancy (first was via IVF so I gained a lot from the medication and the general stress of infertility struggles), but my belly is showing much earlier. I’m on oral progesterone so I suppose that could add to it, too.
@bosslady925 I’m starting out slightly heavier than my first, but have also gained more so far than what I did with my first at this time. I just feel bigger in places as well, and I completely understand about the emotional struggle with it. I’ll put on my clothes and just feel/see how they are tighter in places other than my stomach area and I just lose it. I try to focus on how it will only be temporary (hopefully!) and that it’s all for a good cause. Easier said than done, I know.
Apparently there's going to be an eclipse tomorrow. My mom and cousin called to let me know that I should safety pin a metallic medallion or key to my underwear so that it doesn't affect the baby. Mexican superstitions. I remember my mom doing it with my brother.
Ordered my pregnancy pillow today! Can’t wait until Friday to be able to snuggle up with it at night! Dh will not be thrilled, but I’ll be comfortable so cry me a river 🤣.
@kbrown2385 my mom surprised me with one from amazon yesterday!! along with some pregnancy books (and one for DH). I need to take it out of the bag and test it out tonight!
@kbrown2385 and @stashattack I just borrowed one from my SIL. I'm also super stoked to try it out!
I got so many compliments on my new clothes today and most people don't know I'm pregnant so that felt nice and good to know they don't look too "maternity" lol
@justsuzie for the record the are maternity because everything else was already uncomfortable. I feel like I'm too early to be the big but gotta do what the body is going to do I guess. You should do what's comfortable for you!
yallllll! I needed somewhere to share. My friend just dropped off her son with me so she could go have her baby!!!! I’m so excited. He’s going to be a Fourth of July baby and I get to take his newborn pics and pictures of big brother meeting baby for the first time! I would literally be doing a happy dance if I wasn’t laying in bed trying to fall asleep 😂 Plus DS is going to be stoked when he wakes up and realizes his bestie is here lol
@ everyone lol re weight: I was about 15lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight with my first when I got pregnant with this one and I've lost about 8 lbs or so since I started this pregnancy just from horrible nausea and food aversions. My doctor didn't seem concerned but I obviously don't want to lose anymore. My friend with HG has lost about 25lbs. She's due in December.
@kbrown2385 That pillow looks amazing. My husband would hate me hahaha
I’m cleaning my house today and I can’t for the life of me find the terrible smell in the kitchen. My sense of smell has kicked into overdrive recently and it’s making me crazy.
@c1kc1kpol1cn1k I have a queen bed and the pillow still fits with me and my husband. Saving up though for a king bed! I'm trying to convince hubby it's worth it to spend $2,000-3,000 on a nice king bed that well have for like 10 years. And we spend 1/3 of our lives in bed! It's worth it.
@peppyj9 we love our tuft and needle mattress. You’ll save a ton of money and they are so comfy. We have had ours for like 3 years and it’s amazing. I have back problems and that mattress is perfect.
@stashattack ok, I’m sold! Lol I’ll just have to see what the other half says. I never heard of them until my friend was raving and raving about hers and how she was buying another one. At first I found it funny that they came in a small box, but she swore up and down they’re the best!

which pillows did you guys get?
I'd like to hear your thoughts on them after you've tried them!
@peppyj9 recommended this one awhile ago so I am giving it a shot. My phone won’t let me link so here’s a screenshot.

@biolprof My running pants are getting awfully tight, not happy about that.
