What's a cool, unique, or favorite article of clothing/accessory that you own and love to wear?

Probably not cool or unique but more sentimental. When a previous engagement had fallen apart and I got rid of the engagement ring that I had really liked; my mom bought me this very simple ring with little tiny diamonds in it. It may not be the most flashy but mom’s ring > crazy ex’s ring and just a lovely memory.

I’m obsessed with these dress pants I get from Club Monaco. I own about 5 pairs now. Literally the perfect work pants

Infinity bracelet that DH bought me when we first started dating, because he’s a math nerd and we were reading Fault in our Stars. He bought it at Tiffany, because that was the only place he’d ever seen one (they’re actually everywhere and way cheaper in other stores). I still feel bad that he handed it to me, and I said, “Holy crap, that’s a blue box!” I swear, DH thought he was going to have buy my engagement ring at Tiffany (which he didn’t). I love it because it was a sweet gift and it was so special and important to him. I wear it basically all the time.

Mine is more sentimental as well -  my elephant necklace my mom gave me. Before I moved to Spain, my dorky family threw a going away party and my grandma gave me an elephant necklace at that party (elephants are my favorite and also our special thing). Turns out, that was the last time I would ever see her because she *tw* died while I was in Spain *end tw*. I used to wear that one every single day. I've somehow lost it (the cats probably started playing with it and it's in a crack somewhere in our house haha) and can't tell you how many times I've cried about it, and my mom knew it meant a lot to me so last Christmas she got me a similar one.

I have my great-grandmother's fire opal ring - it's too big for me now and needs a ring guard, but it's fantastic. It's also a slight family secret that I have it. The ring was handed down from my great-grandmother to one of her daughters (my great-aunt), who never got married, and handed it down to my mom. One of the other great-aunts started asking about it at one point and my mom was like "oh, how weird, wonder where that ring went"

@emeraldduchess anything like MY Friday shoes??

I was really into making my own clothes for a hot second and I made a lot of skirts and dresses. This wasn't my fave, but I was super proud of it for a while! (due to my poor craftsmanship it fell apart last year..). Enjoy my lovely screenshot of a poor quality picture.

@chichiphin the ponte pants I discovered at Maurice's were a game changer in my comfort at work. Dress slacks are too stuffy for me and these were skinnies! And we're a business casual office.

@silly_goose speaking of rings DH made this one when we first started dating. Worn nearly every day since. It used to have a knurl texture on it but I've worn it away. Made of aluminum on a laithe. He plans making me a new one someday or make a whole tube or rod with this texture for me to use as a fidget item (I pick at the skin around my nails and my hope is just having a texture to feel will stop me from doing that)

These tight black pants I have (not leggings material but similar to leggings) with leather strips going up the sides...I don't wear them enough but when I do I get compliments on them. Also just sentimental kind of, but a ring with this flower design on it that I got at a flea market maybe 10 years ago and have only taken off once since then (when it was required for a surgery).

@inthewoods23 loooooove your kitty shoes. I definitely bought kitty Bobs to change into at my wedding  after the ceremony is over and done with. My actual wedding shoes are sapphire blue SJP heels too. But your kitty shoes are better.

AFM, I have nothing of value to contribute lol. I have a string of pearls from my late Nana but I found out they're fake, but they honestly look better than some of my real pearls so I continue to wear them. I even paid to have them restrung recently and my jeweler friend was like "...........you know these are fake, right?". Yes, yes I do.

my nana’s silver fox fur— i RARELY  have the chance to wear it bc i live where it’s alwaysssssss too hot & it’s super fancy so the coinciding of fancy event with cold enough weather is... minimal. so sad. she gave it to me when i asked her if i could borrow it for a halloween costume. i have another great aunt’s fur, too— her daughter gave it to me & said her mom always said she wanted me to have it. 💗

@kagesstarshroom I have a fur coat from my grandma too. We got married in December so I was able to wear it on my wedding day. I’ll probably never wear it again which makes me sad but like you said it is too fancy.

@bows22 so we are CD twins AND furs twins?! i love that you wore yrs at your wedding! i definitely am going to wear mine to someone’s winter wedding in the future or somewhere else— i am the kind of person who is always overdressed anyway lol so i can get away with it. you can too if you want! 😉
