I work at a place with a lot of not very well behaved kids, so I understand why having a 5 foot long black rat snake living near one of the building entrances is a really bad idea, both for the snake and the kids.  But I did not want to have to witness the maintenance guy killing it in front of me this morning.  I almost burst into tears and I'm still really upset about it.  Why couldn't he have put it into a box or something? I'd have walked it a mile into the woods and let it free

@RedBreast35 oh man, I would have cried! I can't handle violence with animals. I can kill spiders and bugs when needed, but we try to release them too when possible. I'm sorry you had to see that! We have bull snakes by us, but thankfully there is a husband and wife in our neighborhood that know how to handle them and will come remove/relocate them for us! 

My MBF is about my work computer. Or I guess rather our VPN system. It is soooooo slow to connect, disconnects randomly if my computer goes to sleep or I am away for more than an hour (which is just stupid) or I have to reboot to get it to connect. I'm so OVER IT. It really slows down my productivity! Which let's be honest, has already suffered enough since I met you ladies

@zuuls_mom do we work at the same company? Same thing happens to me. Or sometimes I am drafting an email, vpn will drop and I’ll spend a frustrated 5 min trying to send an email before realizing that the vpn dropped ?! 

My mbf is about my coworkers, who for the most part, have totally checked out. Whenever I need to ask something, they are nowhere to be found. Are we all about to be laid off and I am the only one who doesn’t know ?! 

Who else has a countdown to their due date?91 days to go...

@RedBreast35 yes, it’s time for a celebration! I’ve totally been all over anything and everything that is labor and delivery. I am actually looking forward to it - anything to end this constant nausea. And, yes, I am also very impressed with @zuuls_mom productivity. I am moving at a snails pace.

@RedBreast35 @rms924 I'm really not that productive. I try, but then I get tired. Or hungry. Or nauseated. And then it's like "hey, let's check out how my gals are doing". Employee of the year! lol

Hahahahaha hahaha @zuuls_mom SAME! Literally, I think I’ve pored over every post. The only one I can’t really participate in is the craft post. I want to but I am not crafty it’s like how I wish I was a yoga person but I am not.

@zuuls_mom @rms924 I don't know if either of you lurk TTGP (hiiiii TTGP ladies!!  ) but some of them were recently talking about some tomato timer(?) method of working, where you work for 25 minutes and take a 5 minute break?  I do the opposite... Sorry, employer.

I am a total lurker. I miss all of those ladies and I check in on them regularly. I missed that thread though- I need to get my act together. It’s like my brain has permanently headed off on vacation. It’s awful - when is it coming back ?? It’s never been this bad. I am not even in 3rd tri 🤬

+1 for zero productivity! I can’t seem to get motivated to do anything at work. 

My MBF is about a coworker also. Not to bore you or give too much about my job away. But I’m a content developer at a company that deals in the construction market. Today an engineer emailed me to ask if I had an in depth instructional document of our main products usage procedure for his client. Ummm no dude that is your job! He is constantly trying to pass work off onto everyone else and I’m so over it.

Can I bitch again?

Daycare for DS closed at 1 today for their graduation ceremony.  DS's room has naptime after lunch, right around noon or so.  Instead of keeping the kids up the 30/45 min until their parents came to pick them up, they put them down for their naps, so all the parents had to wake up their kids to take them home.  Now DH is home with a cranky kid who won't go back to sleep.
More bitchworthy for me personally is that DH has to go back into work when I get home to finish all the things he didn't get to do this afternoon from leaving early.  So I'm going to be on my own with the sleepiest, crankiest DS of all time from 5:30 until he goes to bed.  And it's raining, so playing outside isn't even an option

@RedBreast35 what kind of shit is that!? Definitely not thinking ahead. I'm sorry! The fact that they close on a random day is kind of infuriating. Not everyone can just take a half day or work from home! 

And I totes lurk. I haven't too much lately though, so I need to get back out there!

The childrens hospital called us where DD was scheduled to get tubes in her ears on the 17th and they were just notified that they will be having a scheduled power outage on the 17 to up date there generator system ..... so yup no tubes that day ... we are now rescheduled for July 30. Lucky the weather is nicer and she doesn't seem to be having as many ear infections but a month and a half later really, it seems so far away.

@RedBreast35 We have a wildlife guy in our town now. For a donation, any animals that you find hurt or in a bad place like that he comes and relocates, takes to a vet or takes to a wildlife rehabber. It is so awesome! I love that the whole town loves him. He posts recaps of his days adventures.

Although, based on some of the drama, I am so glad I am selective about what I share. I am looking forward to the pg!! Also, I can’t believe ppl take time out of their lives to create a fictional persona on a freaking fertility site. What is wrong with people?! 

@janat1717 my husband found a huge turtle crossing the road yesterday - it was incredible and we prob should have called the wildlife people. He ushered it across the street. I was on the phone with him, like don’t touch it!!!!

We straight up live in a wildlife reserve or so it feels: turkeys, deer, frogs, rabbits. I really enjoy it besides the turkeys, who run the show ... a pair of turkeys attacked my car last year during mating season. I don’t mess around with the turkeys 😂

@rms924 We live close to a greenbelt but the only visitors I get are fat racoons in my garbage, squirrels that drive my dogs nuts and bobcats. My dogs (two 60 lb pit bulls) did get into it with a bobcat earlier this year and it sent both of them to the vet. They're no joke! I wish we got visits from lovely animals like beer and rabbits!

Omg! Bobcats, @nomangos23 ?! My dog weighs 7lbs. He’s scared of chipmunks. However, he will take a chunk of your finger off for food, so I guess he’s ferocious in his own way! 

@janat1717 trust me, it’s rare for him to actually listen. It’s an ongoing struggle...!

@RedBreast35 @zuuls_mom I've had a spike in productivity the past few weeks, fueled mostly by the fact that I wrote down all the things I need to do before I go out and freaked myself out.  Haha.    It feels so good to actually get things done, though.  I was on the struggle bus on the productivity front in first tri.  I'm sure I'll hit a wall again in third tri, so I'm trying really hard to capitalize on this energy blast while it lasts!  But that inverted tomato timer thing is hilarious!!!  I feel like that's my life sometimes, too.  And yes, any hiccup in technology is the worst, especially when you're already having a hard time trying to be productive!  It's like, hey, I don't need yet another road block here!  

@rms924 Haha turkeys are no joke.  They are vicious, ugly critters.  Fun story, I saw an albino turkey in our neighborhood in the Bay Area once.  Bizarre!  Here in CO we have lots of coyotes, innumerable bunnies, huge owls, and foxes.  AND there was a recent news story about a mountain lion in the open space 1 mile from my house!  People with cats and small dogs (less than 50 lbs) are instructed to not let their animals out unsupervised due to the coyote activity.  Many a dog has been eaten in its own yard.  And when a cat goes "missing" it's not usually going to return.

I've been signed up for the (free) breastfeeding class in July at my ob/gyn's office for at least a month. Just got a voicemail that I'm "not allowed to take the class in July since your due date isn't until early September"... I'm sorry, am I not pregnant enough for you? The class is only offered once a month, so what if I can't make the August date? And why TF did you not tell me this when you registered me for the JULY class?

@cammie0526 That's so weird. I know later is recommended so you don't forget but I've never heard of anyone turning people away. I did mine early last time. Maybe they always fill up with people

@cammie0526 I’ve literally never heard of them doing that, and I took my breastfeeding class at like 5 or 6 months with DS because we were moving at 7.5 months and didn’t wanna stress about it then! How rude! Tell them you can’t make the other class dates and to put you back in the darn class! You need time to be able to ask about and order a pump too. Meanies!

@rms924 when I was a kid our cat dragged a turkey poult into the house (it was fine but ruffled) and its mother came right up to the house with her other poults screaming her head off at us until we caught it and put it back outside - those birds are tough!

@rns924 we live back-to-back with a local turkey farm and there are tens of thousands of turkeys literally in our backyard. At Thanksgiving a handful always escape and land on our roof. We had an electrician here yesterday and he heard the 'gobble gobble gobble' and though it was the sound of waves.  Close but no cigar, electrician.

Ohhhhh I got some bitchin’ to do. I better put this in a spoiler, cuz it’s a whole lot of bitchin’. Oh damn, I’ve got multiple spoilers. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I dunno what I’m doing. Blame it on Richard today. 

This morning I went to bring my son to school, and of course my car wouldn’t start-dead battery. So I call AAA and they send Richard. Well Richard doesn’t have the slightest F’n clue how to help me. Couldn’t find the battery so I showed him, tried his wimpy little charger, and told me about 10 FREAKING times that perhaps my husband can replace the battery, or my husband could use his car to start the battery, or my husband could provide a ride to get a new battery. I finally asked him to stop assuming I had a husband to help me, and threw my hands up that he actually was doing NOTHING to help! So I get rid of him, and just lost it, and start calling people and companies to see who can freaking help with the situation especially since I have a child that cannot ride in a car without a car seat. Everyone says, call AAA! WTF!? So I call back, and tell them I have a 4 year old kid, 6.5 months pregnant, a husband who is GONE, and RICHARD told me to contact my husband! Well that operator immediately apologized and told me he would send a competent person out to help me. Well good ole Phil shows up, gets my car started in 5 minutes and replaces the batter for me IN MY GARAGE! Thank you, Phil. Get lost, Richard. So much crying and stress for nothing! Call my husband, F YOU!

okay but the world did realign with a really nice guy-thank God! And now my battery should be good to go, and at least I was home when it happened. 
Oh, and while I’m at it... my gutter spout broke yesterday during a huge downpour. I look out and see that the water is draining straight to our basement/foundation. So I put on my raincoat and boots, looking straight up like a pregnant stripper, and popped that spout back together on my tippee toes enough to make it drain away from the house. Okay life, I get it. You’re really funny these days.

Oh I love the comments from you all. Yes he was definitely a Dick! I have NO idea how that man works for a company that works on cars, and the second guy was a little WTF-ish about Richard, too! But Phillip 🥰. He wanted to make sure even my radio was working properly after the battery install. He sat in my car reading the car manual to find the reset on the radio, and then next time he looked up, the screen said, “push power button to restart radio.” I told him, “yeah I’m having that kind of day, too!” I’m thinking to myself, any chance I look sexy right now!? Come back some day, you wonderful man!! Ah hahahahaha. Just kidding! Maybe. Not sure yet if I’m kidding!

Ps, I just duct taped the heck out of that spout as I see the clouds rolling in. What is up with this cold rainy nasty weather! It’s mid June!

Can I just take a moment to b**ch about old ass coworkers that don't want to get up to date on new technology!!!?? Like, how hard is it to figure out a google form!? You can choose to receive an email as soon as someone submits the form. You click the link in the email and it brings you right to it... print it out if you want to. Same as having someone hand in a paper copy... It's not that hard!!! I just sat down with a coworker and showed her every small step she would need to take and afterwards she said it was too complicated. Lady, the system we have right now is not working. Something needs to change!
