Reviving this topic because I have a brilliant food suggestion that may or may not make me a hero.
I was craving potato chips and dip (super healthy.... LOL), so I went to the kitchen to get some. As I was reaching in the fridge for the dip, I spied a jar of pickles and started thinking about all the pickle juice comments this week (thanks, @ineedsixeggs!). So then I thought, hmm, maybe I'll try a sip of pickle juice since everyone says it's so good! But i still really wanted chip dip, so I thought....
I mixed a tiny bit of pickle juice into my chip dip and taste tested. Pretty good but not pickley enough. I added more pickle juice little by little, mixing well each time, until it had a good pickley flavor. Annnnd then proceeded to stuff my face with chips and pickle juice infused chip dip. YOU GUYS. IT WAS SO GOOD. Try it and thank me later 😉
@galentine Chips and french onion dip was one of my go to’s in the first trimester to help quell my nausea. I could totally get behind your concoction!
@galentine that sounds pretty good. If you have Kettle brand chips in your area, they make a killer Pickle flavored chip. And if you like spicy, they also have a Pepperoncini flavor that is also really good!
@galentine That sounds SOOOO good. My DH hates pickles so I don't keep them in the house. Maybe I should get a jar for work!!
So the first Monday of the month, my work does 'Monday FunDay' which means they bring in catering or a food truck for us... today is Olive Garden and I am loving my salad, breadsticks and Alfredo/meat sauce pasta more than I should! I was very naughty over the weekend and really need to be eating healthier, but I really can't pass up free Italian food!

I've been eating pretty much nonstop today. PBJ on the way to work, banana once I got to work, cherries while working on reports, carrots on recess duty, pita chips while working on more reports, then pasta and dolmas for lunch. Then I actually felt full!! Which is good because now I just have some apple slices for the rest of the afternoon...
So for lunch today I had THE BEST brisket sandwich ever!! And Cheese fries with it. OMG I was in heaven with this meal. Now I'm getting indigestion ;( heartbroken.....but totally worth it!
I’m still stuck on these Mac and cheese bowls with pulled pork and crumbled bacon lately. The same restaurant has an open hot turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy sandwich that is so freaking amazing too... also I want good crepes with Nutella but I don’t know anywhere local that makes good crepes and I suck at making them.

It took 21-ish weeks, but my sweet tooth is back with avengence. To the point that the kids who work at the ice cream shop down the street have my coconut sorbet ready when I walk in because they see my car...
Also Friday I turned down my morning workout for donuts. Don't even feel bad about it.
I'm not sure if this is a regional thing or not, but I'm currently obsessed with Burgermaster. Their burgers and fries are delicious and I top it off with a root beer shake 😋 there's one on the way home from my barrè studio and I'm already excited for tomorrow's workout 🤣

I haven't had particular cravings on my own but I've been super impressionable when others mention the right food. So. Now I have to go get chips, dip, and pickle juice. My go to snack lately has been nectarines. Like 3 a day.
Apparently it’s fruit. I went to store after catching up here this morning. I bought 2 containers strawberries, 2 containers raspberries, 4 peaches, and bananas(those are for DS though)
I haven't been craving anything lately. I didn't even envy my coworker's hot dog. The heart burn yesterday really turned me away from my choc cake which I was heart broken over.
Though....I really do want soda right now...but i'm resisting cause I don't feel like spending my money and I can drink it when I get home.

My first time having chicken and waffles last night. My husband and I made them at home. I asked him who thought of the combination and then I said , "it must have been a pregnant person, it's so weird, but so good." I'm usually (mostly) vegetarian, but I have to say chicken and waffles was pretty good!
I'm insanely excited for dinner tonight. Steak (currently soaking up seasoning) kabobs, corn on the cob, and baked potatoes all on the grill. May turn the oven on to bake some Pillsbury biscuits....
We’ve been at the beach all week and DH has been making me virgin pina coladas. On a completely related note, I really need to cut back on my sugar intake when we get home. I’m currently waiting for my stepsister to bring me a piece of chocolate peanut butter pie...
@geminigirl16 i'm obsessed with Starbucks spicy chorizo breakfast sandwich! I've had it a few times this week. I was going to get one this morning but they were sold out! I was so sad. I've wanted all the donuts. I've ate like crap this week and decided I'll give myself the weekend to keep eating crappy then get back on track Monday! It's so hard when all the things sound good. But I feel like my stomach is the size of a pea and everything wants to creep up so I can't eat a lot at a time.
@nnaelilak I have to thank my pregnant coworker for the recommendation. She kept telling me about them and I was skeptical but they are really good!!!

I have been eating pasteurized soft cheeses during this pregnancy because my OB said it was ok and I felt ok about it after reading Expecting Better. I saw this article posted in another group (for moms in science fields) and am interested if it will impact your decisions for the rest of pregnancy? It gave me pause about cheeses vs. meats (I’ve also had sushi from reputable places) so I’m just unsure. I trust my OB but she’s also not a food scientist...

@melanier26 my Aldi's is not very close by, but I'm pretty sure I'll be making the trip sometime this week. I don't think those can be passed up! My ice cream craving has been growing over time. I was craving an ice cream snickers bar the other day so SO stopped at the local deli on his way back from Lowe's thinking they would have them. They did not, so instead he bought me one of everything else, lol. He came home with a grocery bag full of ice cream bars.

My sweet tooth is out of control. We have fun size candy at work and I eat a boatload every day. And last week I made almond rhubarb picnic bars and brownies and demolished almost all of them myself. This week I'm thinking I'm going to make homemade oreos. Ugh, somebody stop me.
