Hi ladies! I am excited/scared to be back on these boards. This is my first time posting in awhile and I'm sorry to kind of bare my soul right away but haven't really talked to anyone IRL about some of these issues and am looking for -- I don't know, just a place to be real.
My husband and I have been talking about TTC again because we both want more kids and are getting old(!) but I am struggling with this decision right now because we're coming out of a not so great place financially (currently living with my in laws) and my husband has been dealing with depression/anxiety so 2019 so far has not been such a great year. I don't want to bring a baby into a bad situation but am scared to wait much longer, we had a miscarriage our first time TTC and he is also dealing with low testosterone so I'm worried we will have a hard time making another baby. Things are looking up, thankfully, but I have a lot of anxiety that everything will just come crashing down again. I know there is not always a "perfect time" to plan for a baby but I just want to make sure I'm not being selfish because I want another baby so much that I'm not thinking about this rationally. We have an amazing, smart and beautiful almost 2 year old and I really want her to have a sibling.
Thanks for listening
Ages (you and SO): Both 34

welcome!!!
This board is fantastic. You’ll find a lot of support on the TFAS thread. ‘Trying for a second’
no one can really tell you whether or not you should have another child (as you know of course) but with just posting what you said, I’d personally wait until you’re in your own place. Unless of course your current situation with living with your in laws is working for you guys. I just know when I personally lived with my in laws (I LOVE them), I couldn’t wait for the month to end lol.
Also, TTCAL is probably another thread you should check into once you’re ready. (Trying to conceive after loss). The women on their are amazing and kind and so supportive. I have also experienced loss so I understand the fear that comes from TTC.
I hope your stay here is short
How many months have you been TTC?: on CD7 after MC on April 9th...longer than usual period (but I think that’s pretty common after MC)
What are you doing to get knocked up: OPKs and lots of practice 😉
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): one daughter - 5yo. we have a 1yo Rottweiler and 17yo kitty. I am a 911 dispatcher for Minneapolis and work nights. I LOVE to dance (dance fitness with Jessica) currently renovating our house and when I’m not covered in paint or dust I’m usually at the cabin or outside.
@oliveoil-2 Firstly, I second what VDP said about joining us over at TTCAL, and secondly, it sounds like you have really put a lot of thought into jumping back into this process, and therefore right off the bat I would say isn't selfish--you *are* thinking of others.
I’m new here, but have been following a few threads for a while now. Which has definitely helped me in my journey TGPAL, but now it’s time for me to engage, because this journey is a little harder than I thought, and would love the support moving forward.
So, here we go! 😊
Ages (you and SO): I’m 32 & he’s 41 (yes, that’s a 9 year age gap...) Together for almost 3 years, married almost 9 months now.
How many months have you been TTC?: Since our loss in October, so 7 months.
I know we’re newly married, but we didn’t expect to get pregnant as fast as we did. In fact, We didn’t even think we could (according to my husband’s fertility) but now that we know we can and it’s possible, we figure why wait. But the loss has made it harder to stay patient, and let God.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Temping, charting, OPT’s, and of course, fun love making! 😉 I haven’t stopped taking my pre-natals either.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): My SO has two beautiful daughters from his previous marriage, 16 & 10, and I love them like my own! I’m so grateful to have them in my life, and be their stepmom, but we don’t get to see them as often as we’d like. They live with their mom 3 hours away. So, we would love to just have one of our own, maybe a boy! 🤞🏻
We do have a little 4 year old Yorkie named Winston though. He certainly is our little fur-baby! 🐶
I’m in the Entertainment industry, a booking coordinator & manager for a theatre where we live, and my SO is in the Mental Health field, currently pursuing a M in Social Work. We definitely stay very busy, but we find time to still enjoy life, and each other! I love music, writing, movies/tv, video games, cross stitch and just straight up relaxing on the couch!
Thanks for for taking the time to read, and getting to know me! ☺️

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): We have 2 dogs who are 4 years old. I'm a graphic designer venturing into business ownership this year and my husband is a quality engineer. He works second shift, so we currently live life on a later schedule, which is fine with me, I'm not a morning person. I love being outdoors and reading, but can also binge Netflix shows with the best of them.
