Third Tri Symptoms

Re: Third Tri Symptoms

  • I have 7 weeks to go and it’s getting ooooold. Just needed to get that out.

  • @key33 for reals on the movement! She kicks my DH in the back when we're asleep, we kick/punch/roll hard enough to shake the bed. Mine aren't quite painful yet, but definitely uncomfortable.
  • Nothing like puking (for the first time in weeks) straight stomach acid to get your morning off and running...

  • @greeneyedgirl12 it’s the absolute worst! I also hadn’t thrown up in quite some time, and last night my heart burn was so bad, I woke up and puked stomach acid. Tums officially aren’t cutting it, I started Prilosec this morning.

  • Maybe it's a Jennifer thing (that's my name too lol!), I have been getting the absolute most brutal leg cramps that have lasting effects haha!

@indulgentgypsy - This LO likes to turn sideways and stretch out. I'm still amazed she can turn and roll as much as she does.
  • Tried to go out for dinner last night...but the little guy decided to explore straight down...shooting cervical pain! Back home and to the couch! 😖

I’m a +1 on the crazy emotions lately. To the point where I’m going to ask my midwife how much is too much. Like I can’t handle bedtime with DD without yelling or crying. Every little thing sets me on edge.
Margarets been especially needy/whiny/clingy, and I’ve just been at my worst.
For Mother’s Day today I elected to drive a separate car just for some space.
  • Anyone else's boobs leaking?   :o
  • @pizzaplz Mine have been leaking for weeks now. It's just gonna get worse, which I hate. Gonna have to start wearing night bras again. I remember we went to visit a friend who's baby was two weeks old, I was about 35wks with Matt, and my boobs were so excited that day from cuddling the baby I woke up completely soaked down my front. -_- Not your baby, boobs.

@erynpdx Also super on the edge emotionally when it comes to crying. I warned DH it's worse than last time because when M cries, it's like a stab to the heart and I just wanna bawl and can't deal.
  • I'm so hot all the time! I really want to put a fan between my legs while I'm sitting all day at work. Would that be weird?  :D
  • When you get BH, do you only feel the tightness in the belly? For a few days now if i get them, I feel pressure in my lower back and butt. Definitely not labor pressure or the urge to push or anything like that, I just feel like the tightness from the BH has shifted more from my front to my back. I know baby is head down, maybe she’s sunny side up and that’s what is causing the back pain. I didn’t have back labor with either of my first two so not entirely sure what it feels like

  • @nolemomma14 I can't speak for actual labor since I never got there with M, but when I had BH for four hours last weekend, it was definitely in my butt too which I'd never had before and it was the first time this pregnancy I was worried about BH a bit. But eventually it subsided and I could sleep. Hot shower helped some but they came back when I got out.
  • @fromcatstokids Lol! I keep 2 fans blasting on me while I work. I say you put one loud fan visible to all...and a secret second fan under the desk!
I bought this one for delivery, but I’m going to use it the second it arrives!

  • I’m gonna call the symptom ‘nesting’ even though it’s really just anxiety over feeling like there’s not enough time to do everything lol.

I’d also say my vivid dreams have come back in full force from the first trimester. I always have at least an hour where I have to talk myself out of it and remember it was a dream. I still have this nagging urge to tell my longtime friend that I dreamt she was pregnant.

Mother new symptoms this week- being clumsy as all hell, waddling major, face breaking out in pimples (literally never even had that during puberty), leaky boobs are leakier, and baby kicks me SO hard that it looks like one of those animated cartoons where someone’s hungry stomach is grumbling.
  • We had our 32 week growth ultrasound yesterday. The tech commented, "This baby likes to move a lot!"

As a FTM, I was just guessing our little one was an extra wiggly one, but when the tech confirms it...
  • @keebler6elf Mine apparently likes to have chill days where I border on freaking out and DH has to remind me he/she a) is moving and b) is running out of room so may move less, and then make up for it by throwing a gymnastics competition the next day. Not my favorite pattern, but there've been two sets of such days this week...

  • @greeneyedgirl12 These little ones! Sometimes I just wonder what it is they are trying to do in there.
  • Anyone else reached the point where they're unable to lie flat not because they get lightheaded, but because they are suffocated by boobs and chins? Just me? Lol.
  • @mnkenned I haven't been able to lay on my back for months, even rolling over from side to side feels terrible. My savior has been to spoon a king-sized pillow :)
  • My feet have been killing me and my left foot/ankle have started to swell. The bones in my feet hurt. I’ve been on my feet more this week trying to get the house ready for the baby shower so I’m sure that is the cause. But damn it hurts and looks ugly. If I put my feet up the swelling does slowly go down so I’m not too concerned but getting up in the middle of the night to pee with sore achy feet makes for a long walk to the bathroom.
  • The ligaments/muscles/tendons in my entire pelvis hurt all the time, and so badly by the end of the day. It's not PSD, thankfully, but just so sore. It feels like shin splints on my front, and sore everywhere else. I'm convincing myself that this will help labor be easier (b/c it was anything but last time, ending in a C/S) as I didn't have any pelvic discomfort last time so maybe things are opening up a little more this time. Sleeping with a pregnancy pillow helps some.
  • @jennm0724 My feet suck too! I don’t have swelling, but I probably would if I were on them all day. My left one feels like it’s been  stepped on by an elephant, every step hurts! Even after lying down, massage, still hurts. DH wants to do a last minute baby moon next weekend, and I’m not going to be able to tour anything, for sure! Probably will be a restaurant tour! 🐷
  • I feel like I’ve gone back to the first trimester. All food sounds gross, but I’m hungry all of the time. Not eating makes me nauseous, but so does eating. Get it together body, we’re almost to the end!!

  • @expatmom39 thats how mine feel! Every step hurts, like someone crushed all the bones in my body.. restaurant tour sounds like my kinda trip LOL!

I'm seriously getting tired of eating. I would love to fast for a little bit!
  • @cindler I can’t even fast while not pregnant. I get super b****y and emotional like my whole world is caving in. I should be on a Snickers commercial the change is so dramatic. Lol. @nolemomma14 Same. I just eat even when I’m nauseous and know I’ll throw up, chew really well, and swallow a few bites knowing that it’s coming back and then after that I finish eating and feel fine. It almost feels wasteful or like I have an eating disorder but I can’t help it and I’ve succumbed to the fact that I have to eat anyway. I haven’t gained any weight since losing the 10lbs from nausea and vomiting in the first tri and I’m scared to lose 10 more lbs so I suck it up and hope to just maintain my weight and nutrition as best I can.
  • Love it when I can crack my back. Hate it when my tailbone cracks out of nowhere 😵
  • What are you all doing to try and combat some of the exhaustion? I know it's normal for third tri so I expect it, but I just hit such a wall during the day and feel like a zombie. I'm going to bed at like 9-9:30, and am trying to do some food changes to see if that helps. Wasn't sure if anyone had done anything that seemed to help.
  • @samanthak46 some days I’m so tired nothing seems to help ... on the days that I’m not as tired I feel overall better when I workout or at least take a walk
  • @samanthak46 Not gonna lie - Redbull if I need to really power through a day. It's within the caffeine limit. No amount of napping or exercise helps me.
  • hinoteshinotes member
Food and meals are such a challenge these days...  If I eat slightly too much, it just sits there and won't digest, and I get horrible heartburn.  If I don't eat enough, I end up with gas and also horrible heartburn.  The Zantac 2x/day plus Tums on top of that is no longer as effective as it was a month ago.  I just eat what seems like a reasonable amount and hope for the best.
  • @samanthak46 I take naps. I write lists of things I have to get done and give myself deadlines. I always try to make doing everything my goal but miserably fail by 3pm lol.

I also drink a ton a ton of water. It actually really does help. I start my day with two bottles of water. It helps with both nausea and tiredness. Plus it’s hella hot here so dehydration is a big deal and can further exhaust you.

While you can have caffeine, it actually dehydrates you because it is both a laxative and diuretic (If you can’t poop, go for the caffeine lol). So if you do consume it, make sure to supplement your water intake as best you can. Coffee has less manufactured ingredients than energy drinks but can also be a downfall if you’re huge on sugar. The sugar in both drinks can actually make you feel like you’re crashing harder so it’s a balancing act.

Another thing I do is take a small walk after eating for 5 minutes or so. It gets things moving and as mentioned above, exercise is generally great for energy.
  • I've been getting so many charlie horses in my calves!!! Last night I got an awful one at 3am that had me writhing in pain for over 10 minutes. My leg is so sore today!
  • I was diagnosed with an irritable uterus and it contracts literally all day. I go twice a week for NST for other reasons so the nurses always look concerned at first when they realize the strength and frequency of the contractions. I never went into labor with DS (scheduled c section) so I'm afraid I really won't know when it's go time for this pregnancy. Hopefully my gut is right and let's me know when it's time. I have a RCS scheduled but ob said I likely won't make it to that point because I'm having twins.

Every time I get up after sitting for an extended period of time (driving, eating a meal, etc.), I can barely walk. My pelvis, hips and thighs are so incredibly sore. I can usually walk it off, but those first 30 seconds to a few minutes are horrible. 😩
  • Bear14+Bear14+ member
@key33 yes... I totally relate... my hips and pelvis even hurt if I shift my weight wrong while standing!! Urgh... not long left now! ;)
  • key33key33 member
@Bear14+ - I hope this one isn't stubborn! Lol If shes like my last two I have 1 month to go.
