What route (Foster Care adoption, domestic, international)? Foster Care

Where are you in the process right now (just thinking, home study, waiting for match, etc.) We now have 2 foster children placed with us

Anything new and exciting happening this month in your process? Just a few weeks ago, we got our second placement. We now have two foster sons (different birth parents). We also are supposed to be having a child and family team meeting for our older son to discuss changing the permanency plan to adoption at the next court date, but we keep having to reschedule the meeting, so I'm not sure when it is going to happen. We did recently meet up with his birth father because he wanted to get to know us a bit before deciding if he will sign away his parental rights so we can adopt. It went well, but we aren't sure what he has decided on.

Any tips for the steps you’ve passed? If you are going the foster care route, prepare for every placement to be completely different. Our first son came to us from another home, so he had been well-taken care of and was a pretty normal baby. Our second son came to us from a home where he had been malnourished and not given proper medical care, so taking care of him is completely different.

GTKY (Get to know you): Any Easter plans? Going out to my parents' house. We'll actually get to do an Easter egg hunt this year, so that'll be fun
