After 4 months of eating perfectly and still not being pregnant, I am so like eff it this week. *TW until the last 6 months, I have never had a problem getting pregnant, just staying pregnant* But I am sure these things make a difference and I am getting back on my health kick tomorrow.
Thanks everyone! @brookert615 - ha I know what you mean. I gave up plans to go to Costa Rica last year so we wouldn't be benched for 6 months b/c of Zika....I'm drinking my coffee!
OPK question here. Yesterday was the fourth day in a row where my OPKs were positive (test line equally as dark as the control line). But I have had very little CM. Just a tiny bit of what I think was EWCM (hoping I didn't confuse it with preseed) on CD11 and creamy/watery since then. I haven't been drinking a lot of water so I wonder if it's affecting both the amount of CM I have and the OPK results. I put my chart below if that helps at all (I took my temp twice this AM because I think my thermometer is favoring the temp 97.18. I used the second temp but maybe I shouldn't have?).
whitealbum29 I still drink a cup in the morning and every once in awhile I’ll have one in the afternoon. Tw**** I’ve tried giving up things, making sure I eat perfectly etc... and I’ve continued to have losses. End tw**** I don’t go overboard but ive given up trying to be perfect about what I intake.
*lurking* @whitealbum29 I pretty much started following kbrowns philosophy a long time ago. Could caffeine make your wait to a BFP longer? Possibly, but you don't know how long your journey will be; not to mention there are plenty of women who have no issues and drink multiple cups of coffee/cans of pop each day while also chain smoking a pack of cigarettes. I'd much rather be caffeinated and happy than tired and miserable because I'm trying to cut back on something that may or may not even be having an adverse effect.
And for the record, I've given up caffeine for several cycles as well as alcohol. In my experience, it's not worth it; here I am nearly 3 years into my journey with nothing to show for it. My advice is to continue on with your normal activities until you see that second pink line.

@emeraldduchess I’ve had cycles where I’ve had a week of positive tests and they were only ”truly positive” when the line was darker than the control. My Ewcm increased on that last day and I had ovulation cramping.
@emeraldduchess now that I think about it, I only count it if the test line is darker than control. I actually test strong positives closer to like 6pm on O, and that test line sucks the color out of the control line
@whitealbum29 late to the party but I agree with a lot of what others said. I always have a morning cup (from my Keurig) and sometimes an afternoon one from a coffee shop if I’m really struggling at work or if DH brings it to me on a weekend. I’ve had a few cycles where I totally gave up caffeine and/or alcohol and was f*cking miserable. It’s totally up to you, but I say just live your life and don’t go crazy. If crack addicts can get KU, I doubt having a cup or two of coffee is the reason why it’s not happening on our end.
@b_1029@lulu1180 and everyone else! Totally agree, I think all the time about how people get KU every single day just living their lives, drinking heavily, doing drugs etc. I'm pretty sure the loss of the joy I get from my daily coffee would create stress in my life that would completely cancel out any positive effects of cutting caffeine!
Hi ladies! I posted in here a few days ago, because i was 7dpo and my temp wasn't rising to show ovulation. Well, the past few days it has been slowly rising. I took a preg test today and got BFN...but does this mean i possibly ovulated late or any thoughts? thank you
@mlj33 with your current chart, it's hard to tell if you ovulated. But if you did, it could be on CD18 making you 3DPO today.
As for caffeine and other health kicks, they can't hurt but I don't really think they make that much of a difference. All around me, I have seen women who became pregnant while morbidly obese, who drank excessively (they found out they were PG at 9+ weeks), smoked cigarettes, did meth and other hard drugs and the list goes on. My SIL is a Physical Therapist and she had never heard about taking prenatals. I think all of us here are in an extremely small minority doing all these things: BBT, OPK, Prenantals, Ubiquinol, Fertility Tea, etc...

@rikiteacup Agree 100% and I also think that the only reason many of us even question certain foods and beverages is because of our histories or difficulty getting pregnant. But really, unless you have specific instructions from your doctor, you're probably fine.
Thank you so much, ladies! I forgot my OPKs at home today, so I don't know what's going on today. I hope O is soon, I have been O'ing around CD20 and I feel like it doesn't allow much time for implantation.
thank you @kbrown2385 Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone experienced this? My schedule is a little off so I'm not sure what to think. I'm usually regular 28 day cycle to the day but my March AF was 3 days late so instead of ovulating (according to my calendar) on the 4th or 5th it switched to the 8th. But I had symptoms of ovulating around the 3rd and all the days around the 8th my cervix was closed and CM thick and tacky. I don't test for ovulation so I can't be 100%. Fast forward to the 13th- got symptoms of UTI (sore vag area, frequent urination, slight burning when I pee) and that night I had spots of blood. The next day I had spots of brown. The following two days I had tiny rivulets of red blood in my CM. If I go according to 3rd/4th/5th as O then this would be implantation blood timing but it usually doesn't last 4 days. Also, going according to 3/4/5 as O my period would have started today or tomorrow or Friday at the latest. But if I go according to the 8th (when I had absolutely no O signs but is logical according to timing) I would be due for my AF Monday 22nd and there's absolutely no reason I should be bleeding...little lost. Anyone have insight??? My partner and I are not currently actively trying as he wants to wait a little longer so our toddler is sleeping better so I'm only tracking my cycle via a period app. Therefore I'm not temping and can't say for certain when I O'd. I'm wondering if anyone has any insight because I'm a little worried about this bleeding even though it's super super light. Even lighter than the implantation bleeding I had with my son.
Never sure where to ask random questions. For those who take ubiquinol, which one and how much do you take? I am running out of my current bottle and I want to try another brand.
@august222017 - Since you aren't tracking O, it's kind of hard to say for sure what it is. It could be you O'd way late in your cycle and this is O bleeding, or it could be you O'd early and this is AF starting, or maybe you O'd "on time" and this is implantation bleeding, or maybe you didn't O at all and this is break through bleeding. I've had all four types of bleeding in different cycles, and they all look the same.
Thanks @marebear15. I'm just confused and hoping it's nothing to worry over. I've had spotting before period and implantation bleeding but not the other two. This bleeding is different from the ones before but each time can be different also so you never know. I just don't want to run to the doctor for no reason ( and pay the $150 doctor visit fee- I mean why do we even have health insurance anymore).
@august222017 I would still recommend going to the doctor to check for the UTI.
You may not be having anymore symptoms from that but that doesn't mean you no longer have it. Last year when I had my yearly exam I asked my doctor for a urine test because I was having UTI symptoms the week prior even though they were for the most part gone at the time of the appointment. Still had the UTI. And if that doesn't get treated it can turn into a kidney infection which is much worse.
YMMV, and I know it can go away on your own but if you're having bleeding anywhere down there it may be comforting to have someone take a look.

Good morning ladies- I usually post in TTCAL thread **waving to my buds**... Progesterone question: This is my first cycle on progesterone. **TW 2nd MMC in Feb** I never got a true dark line/surge on OPK in March after trapped follicle/cyst and I ended up with a 22 day cycle (who knows?). So anyway, I track BBT & OPKs daily; now, I am on suppositories twice a day for two weeks. I am supposed to take HPT on 4/29 and then if BFP- keep taking; or BFN stop to wait for AF. Just out of curiosity, anxiety, excitement, how much will these affect my BBT? All the research I have done says that progesterone is meant to keep your BBT higher and hopefully successfully implant. However, it doesn't really say how much. And/or will it continue to rise? Or just stay as high as post-ovulation? Will I still I get an implantation dip? So many questions..... Just looking for insight from my fellow progesterone ladies on their experience or additional research you may have found. I feel like I just keep coming back to the same articles with little substance. Thank you in advance!!!
@omg1108 unfortunately I don't have the screenshot anymore, but I did temp 1 cycle doing an IUI with progesterone suppositories. I don't think my temps were any higher than normal but it did seem to keep my temps more consistent from day to day.
I'm on mobile so I can't get a link, but I found my chart in the TWW thread from Wednesday 2/6. Check it out for an example! I had been using the suppositories for at least a week at that point.

@inthewoods23 Thank you! I looked at your chart & your temps were over 98 & that is where mine are & on the rise. I tried comparing to my previous cycles ****TW before MMC***; it doesn't seem like my temps normally rise like this--which makes sense if my progesterone was low. FX that this will resolve at least part of what my issues have been.
I think Fertility Friend is drunk...I got crosshairs this morning saying that O was on CD17, but I think it was more like CD19. I am tempted to discard the OPKs since they have been as dark as the control line basically all cycle. The only time I got a result where the test line was darker was on CD20, but going by CM and CP, I definitely O'ed before CD21. I also have no idea why my temp yesterday has an open circle because I took my temp at the usual time.
I would agree with the CD19. You should try putting in dry in the days where you don't record any CM, I think it helps the algorithms. I don't know if that will change FF mind though. You could always override it later if it doesn't change.
@emeraldduchess even if you O on CD20, this has nothing to do with enough or not enough time for implantation. Please read this. The length of your luteal phase stays the same whether you O on CD14 or CD20. If you have a short luteal phase, it has nothing to do with the day you ovulated. Sometimes I O on CD15 sometimes on CD18 and my LP is always 14-15 days.

Thanks, @rikiteacup, that makes sense. My LP is usually 12-14 days, and occasionally I will have a bit of spotting 9DPO before AF arrives. I think that's what had me thinking about not enough time not that my LP doesn't drastically change. Brain hiccup. *facepalm* I clearly still have a lot to learn! Edit: add tag, clarify
This is my first month tracking ovulation and using fertility friend. I'm only on CD9 and OPKs are all negative, haven't seen too much difference in temp as I've only been temping for 5 days. Why does fertility friend now show me a green light saying "most fertile"? That seems way too early and doesn't make sense with all my negative OPK sticks. Decided to BD this morning just in case (much to DH delight lol) but can someone explain that? Am I using fertility friend correctly? I feel so confused. 🤷♀️ also, is it best to just BD every other day or keep DH on reserve until your known FW?
@peppyj9 It looks like you’re doing everything correctly . I believe it’s your “Watery” CM that caused FF to say you’re most fertile. Anytime I put in “Watery” or “Eggwhite” it gives me the green light=most fertile.
If you're someone who gets many days of fertile cervical mucous you may see your OPKs start to get darker lines in the next several days. Some people’s charts have 5-6 days of watery CM before ovulation. And yes, keep HIO every other day if you both have the stamina for that!👍🏽
@rikiteacup Just want to point out that LP can vary. Mine used to be 12-14, usually 12 or 13. However, it has been 8, 10, 8, and 11 recently. Messed up hormones can cause a LP defect. I know that may not be what emeraldduchess was referring to, but it is possible for it to change.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@NYTino24 I know, this is why I said if her LP is short, it is most certainly due to other factors like hormones and has nothing to do with O day being on CD20. From reading her post, it gave me the impression that she believes your LP starts at CD14 no matter when you O. So in her case, if ovulation happens on CD20, she believes her LP is going to be 6 days shorter because O day is 6 days "late" and this will interfere with implantation. Except your LP starts when you O. If your normal LP is 14 days long and you have no LPD, it will be 14 days long whether ovulation occurs on CD14, CD16 or CD20. I hope it makes sense!

Does anyone get really tired while taking clomid? Usually I’m up for hours after dh falls asleep but I’ve been beating him to the punch the last couple of days. I’m exhausted by like 8pm and that is not normal for me at all.

EDITED to add pic of my chart
If you're someone who gets many days of fertile cervical mucous you may see your OPKs start to get darker lines in the next several days. Some people’s charts have 5-6 days of watery CM before ovulation. And yes, keep HIO every other day if you both have the stamina for that!👍🏽
