Anyone done a natural FET?

Hello ladies, I'm fairly sure I will be doing a natural FET at the end of May. Anyone else done one of these? Most of the boards I've been reading say they were on Estradiol patches/pills and/or Lupron....my doctor has yet to mention these to me and has just mentioned BCP after I start my period after ER tomorrow.

Stories? If you've done one, what is your history?

Hi there. My RE is giving me 2 options - first one being more natural of putting me on some sort of oral medication for 5 days and seeing if I ovulate on my own to determine FET timeline, and second one would include patches/pills/PIO/luron/etc like you mention. From my understanding, the success of FET isn't dependent on the type of FET protocol you have, so I think I'll go with the natural one if I can. If it doesn't work and I don't ovulate as a result, I'd switch to the medicated one.

I tried a straight natural FET but my lining sucks so had to cancel. Ended up having success with an "enhanced" natural FET with low dose IVF stimulation medication, but with my own ovulation. Agreed with PP that successful outcomes do not seem to be more with one type that another, I also prefer as close to natural as possible. Usually with Estrogen and progesterone replacement therapy, your body will not ovulate. A Natural FET can be a great option if you regularly ovulate, it just might involve more monitoring as your body gets closed to ovulating. Good luck!

I did a natural cycle FET in December. I ovulated completely on my own and then did progesterone suppositories following confirmed ovulation. My RE says their clinic (small - two very busy RE’s) sees a slight bump in success rates for natural cycle FET. The only stressful thing was we didn’t know my transfer date until a couple days before the transfer and I was peeing on OPKs like a mad woman beforehand (also was monitored through bw and u/s). I had a good lining on my own - never have had lining issues though. *TW pregnancy - that was my first and only transfer cycle and I am 18w pregnant.
