Small Vent for a Monday...

I am so tired of hearing from everyone about how unusually big I am.  It's a constant comment from every person in my family circle and friends I see.  I have a small frame and carry my babies all in front.  This is number four for me.  You would think that they would figure that out by now.  Instead I get the constant comments:
"You're huge"
"Are you sure everything is ok"
"Maybe the doctors missed a twin"
"You aren't going to make it"
"You are too big"
and the best "OMG" with an appalling stare.

Side note my babies have not been huge either.  All around 6.5 - 7 pounds.  My Dr. said everything is great.  Im not worried at all.  Just annoyed I guess.  Seeing this is pregnancy number four it gets old.  Sorry for the vent session but this weekend we had a party for two of our children and I must have heard that 1000000000 times.

  • I get the opposite.  "You are so tiny! Is that why you're high risk?"  No, I'm actually high risk because I have a genetic disorder and a history of pregnancy losses.  My bump is probably smaller because I'm 5'10" and only weighed 130 to start.... It gets soooooo annoying! I feel for you!

Ugh I'm so tired of the comments too. My body is not up for discussion. I decided next time someone says I'm getting huge, I'm going to reply "Thanks, what's your excuse?"
<3 This!  I think I will use this next weekend when I see them!
  • Some guy at church yesterday asked me how I was feeling and then said, "You're really starting to show now!" I just awkwardly smiled, said, "Yeah," and then walked away. It is making me more annoyed than it should, but I just feel like it's such a rude, weird thing for a middle-aged guy to be saying to me...

  • I had my first this weekend. I went to get a pedicure and the lady who was doing the pedi was asking me questions about my pregnancy when her 20-something daughter piped in, "Well HOW MANY are in THERE if you're not due for another 3 MONTHS???"

Her mom just glared at her and went back to doing my toes.

  • My mom took this reallllly pretty picture of me standing in some wildflowers outside her house this weekend so I posted it on Facebook because I was feeling all super-gorgeous, fertility-goddess like. It's the first picture of myself that I've posted since I've started showing. Then this jerkface high school friend of my husband commented "Wow, you're really plumping.".... PLUMPING. Like a fucking turkey? I mean, this guy is always more than a little socially awkward but, man, that pissed me off.
  • Went to a family birthday party this weekend and my father in law (who is a jokester) whistled at my stomach in a wow that's big way. I asked him to use his grown up words if he had something to say and he quit before digging a deeper hole. Smart man.

  • I also get the tiny, "no way you're halfway there" comments. I just tell them baby girl is shy and is hiding. I'd add more snark but I know they mean well and I try to be polite in public.

  • I have a small frame and am carrying all up front as well.
My cousin is also pregnant and about 5 weeks ahead of me. My bump is larger so my whole family is convinced that there's a twin hiding in there somewhere and I get the "you're huge" comment a lot.
    I understand your frustration completely.
