Home Birth?

Anyone doing a home birth or birth center?

Re: Home Birth?

  • I go to a birth center inside of a hospital. Best of both worlds. If you go into the Great Question thread, you will find a couple ladies who have done and/or are planning a home birth

  • I birthed at a hospital with a midwife. So happy to have that option :)

  • Haven’t decided for sure, but I’m leaning towards a homebirth. Baby number 3 was fast and born at home unexpectedly. Then number four barely made it to the hospital, and only waited that long because he was sunny side up. I believe number 2 was born at the hospital only because I happened to have a weekly appointment that day and I was 5.5 cm dilated so they sent me to l&d as a precaution. Two and a half hours later, baby was born. I spent part of that time arguing with the staff because I didn’t think I was in labor. It seems safer to be at home with all of the supplies and the midwife coming to us instead of trying to wait for the baby sitter to get here and then rushing off to the hospital, hoping to make it.
