I wake up pretty much hourly at night because I’m in pain and I have to switch sides. I thankfully only have to get up once to pee. I’ve been having waaaay more Braxton Hicks and it had me a little nervous the other night at work, but if I sit down and relax for a minute they stop. My eyes are way bigger than my stomach right now. Pretty sure my stomach is being crushed/has zero space because I can eat barely anything before I feel full right now. My left foot is swelling way more than the right which looks pretty interesting. Also, I basically live on my heating pad if I’m not at work because my sacroiliac joint is murdering me. I would really like the next 5 weeks to fly by at this point. My body is ready to be done.
I’ve got some definite swelling in my feet. Not alarming but present.
Also i am so hungry. It’s like my body is saying the baby needs to bulk up so eat all the things. But GD.
And i I tried to read a book to DD and yawned every page. It wasn’t even a big long book. It was the tortoise and the hare. It’s like 4 sentences a page!

So much reflux it’s nauseating. And more preg-somnia. Here I am awake at 4am again.
@kangstadt omg the postpartum night sweats were the worst I’ve ever experienced. I used to keep towels, extra blankets, and a full change of PJs by the bed. It was awful. Thankfully I think I only had those for a few weeks. But still, so miserable.
Same with the insomnia. So exhausted but not sleeping at all - maybe 1-2 hours a night. Someone asked me if I had a black eye yesterday due to the dark circles
@thatbaintforbetty, same with the yawning! I felt like people at work must have thought I was being really rude because I could not stop yawning the other day while trying to coach.
@ysotte, same with the switching sides constantly at night. My hips are just in so much pain. Ugh.
@professormama, it's definitely a symptom I don't remember from the first time around and one I am definitely not enjoying....
@kristenhk Ugh. Dark circles. I’ve never had them in my entire life and they live on my face now. Lolz.
@kangstadt yea. It’s the worst and my bed is really squishy and unsupportive so it’s almost impossible to turn over and takes a lot of effort and unattractive grunting that causes my SO to give me weird looks. I almost slept on a hard as rock futon outside my bedroom last night because I thought it might be easier to deal with. I ended up back in my bed since SO came out there with a blanket and was being sweet and trying to offer ways to help me sleep better/in less pain. It was obvious he wanted me to be in our room and the futon wasn’t much better anyways.
- Out of breath ALL of the time. I sound like every little movement is a huge effort. - Indigestion/heartburn that Zantac can only hold back so far before I'm pounding on my own back to elicit a burp. - Peeing or feeling like I have to pee every five minutes. - Painful BH a couple times a week. - Cankles, swollen legs, and Charley horses.
My leg cramps are back!! I thought I left those in the 2nd trimester! I'm still drinking water and eating bananas so I'm not sure why they've returned but they're back with a vengeance!
I also could not sleep last night. I was up 3 different times and just couldn't shut my mind off. When I woke Twin B up this morning she cried "I want to stay home!" Me too, little one, me too.

+1 for breathlessness +1 for waking up in pain every night +1 for painful BH Also, I've had some pelvic pain before, but now it literally feels like my pubic bone is splitting in half. Also, the belly itching! Ugh... very excited for baby to exist outside my body
I am grateful I don't have the public bone pain everyone is talking about (at least, not yet)....but I've got reflux, congestion, nausea (yay, it's back!), food doesn't taste good (except for fast food of course), and tingling/aching fingers and hands. It's so hard to describe but I just feel "gross." Drinks and food just leave a bad aftertaste that I didn't have pre-pregnancy. Anyone experiencing this? I'm planning to work until I go into labor, but damn, I really wish I had more PTO. I need some days off.
My pelvis and my hips are screaming. I really cannot sit or do any exercise properly because they don’t close all of the way anymore. I feel like I’ve been bareback horse riding and I’m so fed up. The insomnia is so real and I believe the lack of sleep is what has my immune system comeptlely failing because I woke up this morning with a slight sore throat. FTM but I literally can feel my body telling me it’s almost time LOL! Baby is low and the kicks are killing me but I’m enjoying them as much as I can.
@rennie1108 My reflux/heartburn has flared up and the antacids leave a weird taste in my mouth all of a sudden. Also things have tasted funny or left a funky after taste off and on all pregnancy. I’ve just chalked it up weird ass pregnancy symptoms.

@thatbaintforbetty YES. It's such a weird symptom and, while not the worst symptom by far, it is annoying and I'm over it! Did I already say I'm super grumpy? That's happening a lot these days.
- leg cramps have started but only in my left leg and it's when I'm sitting a certain way (that has always been comfortable up until now) - sciatic pain continues - ankle/feet swelling - exhaustion kicks in if I sit down for too long - constantly switching sides at night because my hips go to sleep and hurt
+1 for feet and ankle swelling. DH told me last night that he couldn't tell that they were that swollen, so I also think he's blind or just trying to be nice because I can see a huge difference. +1 for having to switch sides while sleeping and if I'm not gentle when I do it, I am awoken by horrible pelvic pain. Normally I just get myself up to pee, then swap sides when I get back into bed. +1 for breathlessness - me putting my shoes on can sound like I've tried to run a marathon by the time I'm done.
With having a cold, I worry that when I blow my nose and cough really hard it knocks baby's head or butt into a rib or pelvic bone. I imagine it every time... probably just mom paranoia since I don't feel anything hit a bone, but I definitely feel concerned that she gets knocked around in there. Or maybe it's more like a surprise hug towards my back? Haha I wonder what it's like for LO in there. 🙃
@mighty_montgomery Haha I think your LO is probably fine in there That uterus is nice and thick and protective! Although I still feel kinda guilty when I poke and prod.
@mighty_montgomery Haha I think your LO is probably fine in there That uterus is nice and thick and protective! Although I still feel kinda guilty when I poke and prod.
Yes!! I do too! I always assume that if she could talk she would be saying "Mom, Stop" She moves away when I find her so it makes sense to me, but I crave interaction with her so much I can't help it. 😅
I’ve been having some awful pain in the upper right quadrant for days, usually after I eat, and I have no protein in urine and bp is great. No swelling. So my other thought is gallstones. Doc agrees it could be, so I have a gallbladder ultrasound scheduled for next week. Seriously. If I have gallstones plus GD, what will I even eat? I’m so over all this. This pregnancy is so much worse than DD’s. Oy.
@Kristenhk omg my circles have been bad this week from the insomnia.
@kangstadt +1 to night sweats. I didn’t have them with my other two until I was post partum. It seems I only get them if I go into a deep sleep.
My preganacy congestion and insomnia make it near impossible to sleep more than 2hours at a time. Between not breathing, and having to pee and the pelvic pain I feel like a walking zombie all day I started PT for my pelvic pain and SPD this week, so fingers crossed I get some relief the next 6ish weeks. Doctor called today (she ordered bloodwork after my appt yesterday) and it turns out I’m anemic and have low blood sugars. So hopefully eating more frequently and taking extra iron will help with my energy and dizzy spells
My glute muscle ache so bad by the end of the day and keep me up at night!!!!
other less severe complaints: -insomnia/racing thoughts (so many baby things left to do) -heart burn (digestive enzymes and apple cider vinegar help tho) -low back/pelvic joint/ligament pain -low energy (thanks anemia)
@blueberrymomma, that's interesting about your night sweats, I definitely don't get them every night so maybe it's only when I'm actually deeply asleep? (Which apparently is few and far between, haha.)
Add me for shortness of breath and anxiety attacks as well (those are new this week...). Ugh. Not fun.
+1 to heartburn, leg cramps and major BH. I'm out of space and baby's movements HURT. I feel like the inside of my abdomen is bruised all over and every time poor DS tries to give me a hug I wince in pain. I'm only 32 weeks!
I definitely spent an hour sitting on the couch last night letting DH handle everything and not feeling bad about it because I was that exhausted. And then rallied to make dinner for company. By the end of dinner, I was back on the couch feeling unrelentingly tight, and ended up going to bed before the guest left. But it was awesome to fall asleep without a munchkin trying to readjust onto my face or grabbing my boobs so at least I slept really well.
I'm 33 weeks and almost 1 year post breastfeeding DS. I've had a tender nipple (not shocking because Pregnant) but I looked at my nipple this morning and saw a white spot. It looked like dried, crusty milk; like a bleb almost. I scratched it - youch - tender. I womened up and squeezed and what looks like a blackhead/pimple came out. I'm sure it's nothing but it can't be normal. I noticed I started leaking slightly so it could just be a buildup of colostrum/🤷♀️eb
@lyse01 and @suchagoodone I also managed to sleep! Isn’t it weird- I find that I have a couple nights of awful sleep followed by one or two really good ones. It’s very uneven.
@thatbaintforbetty, the last two days LO has either been pushing on the same spot in a really awkward way or something because I feel like I have internal bruises too, and I can't bend sideways at all or it's intensely painful.
I'm pretty sure my husband hates how much I complain these days, haha.
While seated in a chair, couldn’t bend down to get something off the floor. Whomp. Gonna have to get DD some shoes that she can’t kick off in 2 seconds in public places.
Just got all my postpartum care shopping done via Amazon at 3AM since sleeping is apparently something I don't do anymore 🙄🙄 at least I was productive??
This is the first week that I've felt almost unable to do any sort of exercising, even though I think my hip pain is better if I do. I feel like a balloon about to pop, plus baby boy has been pressing in very painful ways in there. Ugh.
Re: Symptoms week of 2/25
How is it possible to be cold and shivering but drenched in sweat at the same time? I'm so over it.
Also i am so hungry. It’s like my body is saying the baby needs to bulk up so eat all the things. But GD.
