8 weeks no fetal pole but high hcg

Hello everyone, I guess I should start with some background Info first. I have one daughter who is two and miscarried my second in 2017 at 8 weeks. It took me 14 months with 3 rounds of fertility meds to get pregnant and during my first ultrasound yesterday they only saw a gestational sac and yolk sac. She couldn't see a fetal pole and they warned me I could miscarry again. We're waiting a week to do another ultrasound and blood test. My blood test from yesterday came back at 13,627 which is where it should be but is there any hope since my dates should be exact due to it being a medicated cycle? I'm losing hope and it's just so unfair.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. If it helps you to keep your hopes up, go for it. 

*TW* Honestly though, since it was a medicated cycle and I assume they were doing monitoring ultrasounds, I would prepare for bad news. I’m so sorry.
