Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Tue 2/19

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

WAYDTGKU:  BBT, CM, OPK, Maca, PNV, Vitex, B complex, B6, D, magnesium, selenium, Omega3, baby aspirin

R/R: One of us keeps falling asleep without us DTD. DH was supposed to wake me up two nights ago when he came upstairs, but didn’t... and last night he took melatonin. So frustrating. Also, our tension gate on the stairwell was too tight and it cracked the Sheetrock pretty badly. DH is not handy with that kind of thing, so it’s not gonna be replaced until we hire someone to do our kitchen.

    CS/Q: nope

GTKY: What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?

I would travel all over the world and take pictures!

    WAYDTGKU:  hio, temping

R/R:  not much to r/r about, just hoping tonight’s storm is bad enough to close work.

CS/Q: not much to see,  using a different thermometer and my temps are about 2 degrees lower.

GTKY: What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?  Painting. If I had a nice place to keep my stuff I would do it more often.
  • @NYTino24 ahhh that’s so frustrating! Hopefully you can both stay awake tonight. Maybe try before you have dinner?

@holly321 what kinds of paints do you like? I always liked water colors and oils.

    Month/Cycle: 5/5

    CD: 16

    WAYDTGKU: Letrozole CD3-7, OPKs, BBT

R/R: I’m on 12-hour night shifts so my chart is all over the place, and I don’t get to play much here. Good news though, the OPK I took a few hours ago was finally getting darker. I’m hoping to have an actual positive by the time I wake up today!

    CS/Q: none

GTKY: I miss art (drawing mostly, but painting too). I’m actually quite good, but I just don’t have the time, money, or patience for it now.
  • @NYTino24 I would love to travel and do photography.

R/R: supposed to be a gloomy day today.

CS/Q: not much to see yet

GTKY: What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue? Probably Photography, I really love pictures and wish I could afford classes to learn more.
  • Month/Cycle: 11/7

    CD: 3

WAYDTGKU:  BBT, OPK, PNV, Ubiquinol, Keto diet, Supplements

R/R: After the initial, FML AF is here, this is actually my favorite time of my cycle.  Not having to worry about OPKs, temps dont mean much, etc.

    CS/Q: nada

GTKY: What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?  Something artsy.  Of course, I dont have much artistic talent, but I wish I did.

  • @inthewoods23 Definitely Europe, specifically Italy and Greece!
@holly321 Two degrees is a huge difference!
@daffodil_shoe We aren’t alone at dinner time. Plus I get home and start unpacking and repacking lunchboxes while serving dinner and doing dishes. Then it’s bath and bed.
@b_1029 DH usually leaves around 5 am, so it’s a possibility sometimes like in the FW if necessary if we are able to be alone at that time. We tried once when we weren’t and got all sorts of funny looks about why the bed was moving. Haha... Now it wouldn’t be safe IYKWIM. What specially would you blog about?

  • @NYTino24 sorry about the wall! We’ve had many instances of dh falling asleep before dtd. Hopefully you get the timing figured out that’s easier for you guys!

    @holly321 fx it’s a good storm? Lol

@daffodil_shoe hoping for a positive opk for you soon!

@b_1029 I’m with you on feeling like you gained weight overnight the weekend. Glad you were able to get back to the gym this morning! You motivated me to do my yoga this morning.

@kimmer1412 I admire people who have the eye for photography. It can be really beautiful.

@inthewoods23 sorry about having to skip smep tonight! I’m jealous you can snowboard. Ive tried that in the past and decided winter sports are just not for me. I’ll stick to watching it on the Olympics.

@kerco925 I agree, af is the most relaxing time of the cycle, minus the whole af part lol. What brand ubiquinol are you taking? I want to start dh and I on it but don’t know a good brand to get.
  • Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD: 9

WAYDTGKU:  Tempdrop, tracking CM, HIO EOD, pressed, low caffeine intake.

R/R: DH is off for 2 or 3 days and then he works 2 nights. This is right in the middle of my expected FW. I'm not stressing about this though. *TW-loss mentioned* AF was still a little wonky this cycle so I'm assuming things are still working on healing after my loss in December.

    CS/Q: nothing to see yet.

GTKY: What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue? I would love to take lots of dance classes. Time is more of the issue with this though. Classes for me are usually offered late at night and that doesn't work well for our lifestyle.
  • @kbrown2385 I can't actually snowboard nor have I ever been, and I haven't gone waterskiing in years. It would just be nice to have a hobby that's a physical activity!

And actually, in that case, then I should definitely say going swimming more often. I was on the swim team and loved it and just do leisurely now, but it would be so nice to soak. Does this mean I can make soaking in the geothermal pools of Iceland a hobby? Cuz that sounds amazing right now!

  • @emeraldcity1214 @brookert615 it’s the easiest read and I really learned a lot! Highly recommend!
  • *lurking from tww
@brookert615 I have used the CB digitals in the past and I also have never O-ed before CD 17, ever. I checked my previous charts and it looks like I used to start around CD 13 or 14 with them.
  • @inthewoods23 Montreal! It won't be warm, but it'll be beautiful in the snow! You're more than welcome haha! That's lame YH will have a late night tonight. Do you know when-ish your IUI will be?

@kerco925 I totally feel the same way about AF!

@kbrown2385 I had to google what that machine is - cool! what do you usually do with it? Good job doing yoga!

@NYTino24 I'm trying to read between the lines but I'm not sure I know what you mean  :D And I'm not sure! I kept a blog while I was living in Spain to keep my family updated and they/I really enjoyed it. I don't think I really have anything to say that would interest the greater population but it was fun blogging about places I traveled!

@emeraldcity1214 I'm glad you aren't stressing about YH's schedule! Did you dance before? What kind? I always think those dance classes look SO cool, but I have 0 ability. Good job getting back in the gym! I'm also convinced I need to read this book.

@brookert615 is that a continuation of your illness from the weekend? I'm sorry you're feeling so bad! Which clearblue ones did you get? I wish I could help with the last part, but I O early.
  • @b_1029 I danced for almost 20 years. I love ballet but I think i would enjoy doing some jazz. It's more carefree and not so rigid with form. My technique isn't what it used to be so ballet would be a hard class to take after so many years of not dancing.
  • @b_1029 I usually work with different types of vinyl, like heat transfer to make decals for shirts or other vinyls to make car decals or signs and stencils. I’ve also used cardstick to make invitations and greeting cards. These are a few things I’ve done with it.

  • @brookert615 I learned some faux calligraphy from a book. I get a lot of compliments! I would love to have the time to learn the proper calligraphy technique!

@emeraldcity1214 everyone tells me learning to ski is easier than snowboarding, but the first time I had tried waterskiing my leg ended up flailing or something so I walked with a slight limp for about 2 days since it over-extended. Snowboarding your feet are kept at the same distance apart! TheresT nothing wrong with sticking to the bunny slopes 🙂

@b_1029 my midcycle US is this Thursday so we'll see! My guess is early to mid next week. Never been to Montreal! I'll go anywhere if that means being away from stress and work!

@b_1029 Yes I think so! I picked an awful time for my cheat meals lol. I got the Advanced Digital ones! They're so fancy haha.

@inthewoods23 The world of calligraphy is so fun! I really want to get the Versachalk and go crazy. Their instagram page has some really cool letter work!

@rikiteacup Sorry you're not feeling well still! That's so exciting you're so close to being done! That is nuts so many people are back! Ohhhh a lady of leisure - that sounds fun ahah.

@kbrown2385 I use the qunol brand.  I wanted ubiquinol over the coq10, because of my age, but its pricey.  I am taking 200 mg a day.  Reviews are decent, but honestly chose that brand because my local CVS happened to have it.

  • @emeraldcity1214 that's so cool! I always think jazz and those "modern dance" (or whatever they're called haha) classes look really fun.

@brookert615 I've tried those before and liked them! I am a horrible line reader so I liked taking the guesswork out of it. Glad you like them!

@kbrown2385 whoa that stuff is so cool! I love that one with the maps.

@rikiteacup dang sounds like your job is a cluster. Glad you're getting out of there! My body definitely hates me - so many wallballs and heavy squats...I'm wearing (short) heeled boots today and my legs are definitely protesting.
  • Month/Cycle: 4

    CD: 3

    WAYDTGKU:  Currently Benched.
OvuSense temping, fertiliTEA, just started Maca, PNV, supplements for DH

    R/R: Nata currently

    CS/Q:nope

GTKY: What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?
Running again. $$ isn’t the issue, just the time.
  • Month/Cycle: 10/10

    CD: 8

    WAYDTGKU:  pnv, bbt, cm, SMEP

R/R: so many rants. 1) why does af stay so long? Finally rid of her today; I hope. 2) mil needs to stop texting me things that belong in spoilers. I got ANOTHER series from her today. 3) more spoiler-type announcements keep hitting me at unexpected times, besides from mil. 4) I need to be zen to have a shot but I’m all worked up, and THAT’s working me up, so it’s a circular problem. 5) this freaking house is falling apart. I gave up on it last night when I found a steady leak through the ceiling on the main floor. End rants.
On a positive note, insurance will cover most of the chipmunk damage
    CS/Q:

GTKY: What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue? Maybe gardening. I only buy plants on sale at this point, and pretty much only perennials, but I’d love to go crazy with it. Plus, I have more of a black thumb, so I’d need to keep replacing stuff as I learned, so having $ not be an issue would really help out that aspect. Choice #2 would be couples dance classes with mh. We took a class at a community college before we got married and had a blast!! Even got a private lesson to plan out our first dance.
  • @begging4abump I made a good bit of stuff for our wedding but just small pieces. I really like carving as well! But I would love to make some furniture for our future house! And AF does stay way too long! We are CD buddies and mine just stopped today I think lol. Sorry your MIL is bombarding you! I'm sorry you're going through all of that house stuff!!! Glad insurance will help! Gardening is a good one!

  • @begging4abump it really is overwhelming! I found it difficult to learn how to use as well. When I first got it, I opened it and set it all up, then proceeded to put it back in the box for a month. I had to watch YouTube videos and join fb groups to figure it all out. I still don’t know how to do most things on it.

@rikiteacup probably the most surprising thing is unless you are doing ivf supplementing with melatonin is probably not a good idea since it can disrupt ovulation. Also that BPA is everywhere.
  • @lcking82 That buffalo chicken sounds heavenly!!! Also Blue Apron is so fun!

  • @begging4abumpRocking chair in honor of my family’s yearly trek to cabins in the East Tennessee mountains (where my dad’s family is all from) and a flower to match the bloom in my engagement ring (which belonged to Husband’s late mom), since that’s where he proposed. 😁 I discovered this morning I own only fitted pants/tights and the new tattoo is on my outer thigh. Not comfy at work today! 😂
  • @daffodil_shoe, I have always preferred oil paints,  I love working with charcoal too!
@b_1029 snow the freezing rain!  And I too feel awful from eating delicious crappy food.
@rikiteacup hopefully you can stay away and beat of luck on what comes next.  And no, the thermometers read nearly 2 degrees different.
@rachelredhead my moms family is from the same area.  Last time I said that to someone, it turns out I have know his grandfather my entire life, lol.
@begging4abump I like oil paints.  I hope AF leaves you soon, my periods are really long too!
  • Y’all I’ve had a crazy day!

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 5

    WAYDTGKU: prenatal, supplements, timing, OPK

R/R: the full moon feels as a teacher. Need I say more? Crazy parents, crazy kids. Thank goodness for an amazing team that we can keep each other laughing about it throughout the day! I finally told my teammate that MH and I are TTGP, and she let me talk to her about it today. Having been through it herself, I’m thankful to have told her so I have someone to talk to. Outside of you all of course!

    CS/Q: none for now

GTKY: What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?
so many of your options sound amazing! I miss traveling. I would love to travel more. MH isn’t quite as adventurous as I am, so I don’t travel like I did before and I miss it!

@madcouplewithabox I love running! Before the craziness of this spring, I ran 3-4 miles a day. I need to get back into it.

@emeraldcity1214 girl I feel you on AF! She has got to go! With being new to this process, mine was way thrown off and weird. I usually don’t last very long. And I’m extra emotional and craving a lot of chocolate. It’s insane!
  • @rikiteacup What deja vu! I have dreams about going back to old jobs quite often.

@b_1029 *TW LO mentioned* We have to watch our toddler and it’s not safe to DTD with him in the bedroom. */TW*

@begging4abump Those little chipmunks can do some major damage. They were all over my undergrad campus, especially in this one rock wall! We have a few in our yard now and they can create holes pretty fast. Hope it’s a relatively fast fix for you. Dance classes sound fun!

It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
