Re: PGAL Check-In w/o 2/12

  • How far along are you/EDD? 9+5 / 9/12

Current mood? Anxious AF. After seeing so many ladies leave this BMB recently, I am really struggling to stay positive. Doesn't help that it felt like it was the most active people too so now I feel like our board is dying  :'( I'm sure it probably isn't. I am just feeling super emo today.

If you haven't already/want to again, please share your loss history, if comfortable. MMC @13w in Oct.

Any upcoming appointments, milestones, loss anniversaries, EDDs? I have an appt tomorrow. I am creeping up on the milestone of when he likely stopped developing (within the next week or so) and that is making me feel even more on edge.

Rants/Raves/Dear Diary? Dear Diary, thank you for all of these awesome hopeful future friends. Please let them all get to stay in this group. Me too, please. Thank you, Amen.

GTKY: If you could be besties with any fictional character, who would it be? Female would be Leslie Knope and Male would be Chandler Bing. Fo sho.

  • @nomangos23 YES. I pop in every now and then since I really want to make sure everyone is doing well (as well as they can). And today was just like a punch in the gut. I hadn't seen Dolewhipper's post in Group 4, so I was totally blindsided and it made me cry scrolling through and seeing so many gals from May 19 (my previous BMB) and Sept 19 in there. Shamrocandroll and I were both in N16 together and are really close, so I am just heartbroken over all of it.

I totally get you on the anxiety stuff too. I have been having horrible dreams and thoughts of things happening to my loved ones, my dog, etc. I think it's just because we want this so badly and our brain takes these fears of losing the baby on this crazy tangent. Stupid brains. I hope your appt goes well today! I'll be thinking of you  <3

  • @zuuls_mom Ugh yes the dreams. Every night is a new one. And they aren't really nightmares, but bad things happen in them and I wake up thinking "Oh, that was a sign, for sure." Ugh, sorry you are having them too. I was part of the March19 BMB for a few weeks and don't remember losing this many folks... but that's probably because I was one of them :( I'm broken hearted for our friends but will have to figure out how to support from a far.
  • @zuuls_mom, @nomangos23, I'm sorry you're both feeling so anxious.  I hope you get some relief from it soon.  I believe pregnancy hormones amp up my anxiety (about pregnancy, of course, but also just general/social anxiety that I always have but seem to have much more of when I'm pregnant).  Not fun.  And I'm with you on feeling the loss and limbo of the members of our board, even though I haven't been the most active.  Even with women whom I haven't gotten to know yet, I hurt for them because I've been there and it's so, so hard, and it's a harsh and frequent reminder that we have no control.

@zuuls_mom, I hope the next week goes relatively quickly and that you have a great appointment tomorrow.  Hopefully the anxiety will lessen a bit after you pass your likely loss milestone.

How far along are you/EDD?  8w2d

Current mood?  Back to feeling cautiously optimistic after my ultrasound last Friday (and without another appointment to be anxious about for a couple of weeks).  Work has gotten busy again, which is both exhausting and a good distraction.

If you haven't already/want to again, please share your loss history, if comfortable.  We lost our first baby at almost 22w gestation.

Any upcoming appointments, milestones, loss anniversaries, EDDs?  Getting blood drawn for the NIPT on 2/25 and then appointment on 3/1.  I'm not nervous about the NIPT yet, but I am sure that is coming, as the baby we lost had Down syndrome (not inherited, so the odds of recurrence are not very high - 1% I was told - but statistics don't mean much when you've been that fraction of a percent).

Rants/Raves/Dear Diary?  Rant - pregnancy is far too long.  And particularly the first trimester.

GTKY: If you could be besties with any fictional character, who would it be?  Clark Kent/Superman would be a pretty awesome bestie, I think.

@zuuls_mom Agreed. This past week has been so hard to see so many friends leave. I love your Dear Diary -- yes and yes to future friends! I'm sorry about the upcoming milestone.

I'm right there with ya. Our little girl stopped developing about right now, but I didn't find out until 11 weeks. It is hard and a total mind-F to not feel scared.

@nomangos23 Dude. I've missed you. I was too sick to really function last week or meaningfully participate, but I'm glad to be back. I totally know what you mean about being anxious. It is like, "wait things are finally going right for me. It can't be real. Something must be wrong." We gotta get out of our own heads! and LOL at Lucille Ball. I can totally see you having her personality.

    ~

How far along are you/EDD? 8+1

Current mood? Ugh. I am so sick. I don't know how I am going to make it until the second trimester feeling this horrible. I am thankful for the very clear symptoms, but it is really making it hard to function.

If you haven't already/want to again, please share your loss history, if comfortable. MMC at 11 weeks in June 2018

Any upcoming appointments, milestones, loss anniversaries, EDDs? I have an OB appointment on Friday. I'm hoping I can get some medicine to help deal with my nausea.

Rants/Raves/Dear Diary? I have been feeling really guarded. Like I have a wall up and can't fully embrace this pregnancy. It makes me feel sad because I know that isn't fair to me or baby. I see people post about baby related things (like what pump to buy) and I can't comprehend even thinking about that yet... I am hoping once we pass 11 weeks, maybe it will feel more real?

GTKY: If you could be besties with any fictional character, who would it be? Llana from Broad City. I am pretty reserved and shy, so I need a bestie that is kind of crazy and will get me out of my shell.

  • @zuuls_mom you are so right! I feel like this group is dwindling and it just plain sucks. My heart breaks everytime I hear of one more loss. Excellent Rave btw.

How far along are you/EDD? 8w

Current mood? Exhausted. Woke at 5am to pee and couldn't fall back asleep. Now I'm curled up on the couch when I should be working. Luckily I work for myself. But laying on the couch in a ball doesn't pay the bills

If you haven't already/want to again, please share your loss history, if comfortable. 3 losses in 2017. Longest I was able to go previously was 7w4d so I'm past that now, which makes me happy and scared. In some ways, my loss at 5w was easier, less time to get my hopes up

Any upcoming appointments, milestones, loss anniversaries, EDDs? U/S next week. Trying to remain positive until then

Rants/Raves/Dear Diary? My grandfather passed away on Saturday. He was the last of my living grandparents and it just feels like a loss of childhood.

GTKY: If you could be besties with any fictional character, who would it be? hmm, I think the entire Gallagher family from Shameless. They make me feel sane

  • @eller-2 I am crossing everything for you that the NIPT comes back low risk and all is well!

@kgg2241 I'm so sorry you had to go through that mind f*ck too. Thinking things are fine for over two weeks and then they actually aren't just doesn't seem right. It felt like my body failed me. Or it was just in denial, I guess. I think one reason I am so anxious is because tomorrow is the eve of V-Day and I found out on the eve of Halloween, so now I'm like are holidays bad luck for me!? I thought I had miscarried this one on Christmas morning, so my brain can't help but go there. Ughh. PS, I have never seen Broad City, but I think I may need to add it to my list!

@40momma I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather. That is just heartbreaking. I'm sure you have some amazing experiences with them to think back on to keep their memories alive. Hugs to you.

  • @zuuls_mom and @nomangos23 I hear ya! I want to be so supportive and helpful when we lose another member and I feel so heartbroken because I've been there far too many times before, but it is so hard to also keep the mental health balance of not getting too far sucked into it. Every day I'm just trying to remind myself that I'm pregnant today, and that makes me happy! There's nothing more I can do right now that will affect the outcome of this pregnancy or what may come at another appointment.

  • @eller-2 We lost our first baby @ 21 weeks too but there was no genetic cause they could find (baby had bad hydrops which ultimately took her life.) I wish we knew what caused it so I could better understand our risk of it a second time. I'm nervous for the nuchal fold scan + NIPT too, but mine is a month away so I have a little time to prepare. Agree on pregnancy being too long. Blegh. Glad work is keeping you busy though :)

@kgg2241 Glad you are back but sorry you aren't feeling better. I hope doc can take care of your nausea. Also +1 for being guarded. I haven't even started to think I'll actually get a baby out of this deal. PGAL brain sucks.

@40momma Sending good vibes for your US next week. What day is it? I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather. It's so hard to lose loved ones. I'm sure he was a wonderful man.

@sunshine2417 Amen sister, couldn't have said it better myself.

Here comes some word vomit. Just had my appt and all is well! It was a total PTSD inducing mind f*ck though. They gave me the OB charge sheet to show how much I’ll pay for delivery. I immediately flashed back to last time they gave it to me which happened to be the appt I learned about the MMC so that had me on edge. Then I walk out of the bathroom and there’s a random nurse I’ve never seen there who’s like “Sarah?” and I say yeah so she takes me back and starts asking me all these questions about whether or not I’ve felt movement or contractions and I’m like “Um no, I’m only like 10 weeks” and she says “It says here you’re 28 weeks”. Well that’s because they never switched this pregnancy over to OB in their computer so it was still pulling my last pregnancy info. So I said “Well I was supposed to be 28 weeks, but lost him at 13.” She of course felt horrible, but man that felt like a gut punch. Anyway, I’m so freaking thankful all is well right now and even though I have to stay on pelvic rest for two more weeks I am over the moon!

Edit to fix typos and correct bed to pelvic. Thankfully NOT on bed rest! Maybe I was just thinking of my bed while typing that 😂

  • @zuuls_mom oh my gosh! My mouth is just sort of hanging open reading your post. I’m SO sorry! Good God I hope they corrected everything and never do that to you again. I know no one meant to hurt you, but that is a total PTSD gut punch. Glad things were good otherwise!
  • @zuuls_mom Ahhh how awful! I'm so glad everything was okay though.
  • @zuuls_mom Ugh. That is literally one of my worst fears. I am so sorry that happened to you. BUT, I am SO relieved to hear baby looked good today.
  • How far along are you/EDD? 7+6, 9/26

Current mood? Sore. and tired. And stuffed, but I can't stop eating. :/

If you haven't already/want to again, please share your loss history, if comfortable. Loss this past Oct at 2mo postpartum. Still no cause determined, leaving way too much room for anxiety about whether we missed something last pregnancy.

Any upcoming appointments, milestones, loss anniversaries, EDDs? We had our first ultrasound yesterday! I was relieved to know there's really a baby in there, with a nice strong heartbeat (159) - and that it's only one. We have our first nurse visit next Friday which will be when we go through our whole history etc.

Rants/Raves/Dear Diary? Rave: we got a Roomba yesterday! I feel this is going to be EXCELLENT for my wellbeing over the coming months. Dear Diary, why can't I stop eating so much? I'm literally STUFFED into my pants and yet, I keep putting the fries in my mouth.  I also have a total of 5 beverages on my desk right now.  None of which are empty.

GTKY: If you could be besties with any fictional character, who would it be? SJP - Sex in the City, probably.  I need a real life BFF, though. I'm too much of a homebody. When I get a break, I just want to park my lazy tail in PJ's and not socialize whatsoever.

  • @kiddiesandkitties Um I'M excited about your roomba! Please let us know how fabulous it is! And same about needing a real life BFF. Since I'm new to my area it's super hard making friends anyway, add that to the fact that I'm married and now pregnant and I feel like it's even harder to make friends because I wanna meet someone who's in a similar life phase as me. But I also just want to binge Netflix and nap. :D

    How far along are you/EDD? 8w+2d // September 23rd

Current mood? Meh. I'm not nauseous so that's a plus.

If you haven't already/want to again, please share your loss history, if comfortable. CP December 2017, MC April 2018 at 10 weeks.

Any upcoming appointments, milestones, loss anniversaries, EDDs? My next appointment isn't until March 7th. Hubs and I have to decide by then if we wanna do the NIPT. I want to, he doesn't.

Rants/Raves/Dear Diary? Dear Diary, I miss my diet coke that I had to leave out in my car after my lunch break because I'm not allowed to bring in non-sealed drinks to my job :( I work in a prison so it's a security issue.

GTKY: If you could be besties with any fictional character, who would it be? Hermione, because she could teach me cool tricks and she wouldn't be a jerk about me being a muggle :D

  • @zuuls_momI am soooo sorry! That is horrible. I'm glad baby looks good, but I can't imagine how upsetting that would have been. I'm sure it through off the whole appointment.
  • Thanks, guys! I had such a pit in my stomach until I heard that glorious heartbeat. I mentioned it to my OB and he didn’t even apologize or seem to get why I was bothered, so I am super glad that was our last appt together and I’m seeing my new OB next time. He’s just so checked out.

Also, sorry for all the typos! I read through my post and was like, yikes lol I need to stop typing while walking.

Hey y'all! I haven't checked in in a few weeks. I was here lurking though. We went on a roadtrip to visit family and got into a car accident and totaled my car. It really spiked my anxiety and I let it get the best of me. Then I saw all the sweet mama's we lost and I just couldn't find the words. I'm so so sorry to see so many people go. I was really hoping and praying so hard everyone would make it though. It makes me so sad for them :(

@eller-2 fingers crossed everything goes well with your NIPT test.

@nomangos23 sorry about the anxiety :( I'm sure the combo of raging hormones and PGAL brain is really bringing it out. Maybe it'll settle in the second trimester with your hormones.

@kgg2241 I hope you get to feeling better soon!

@40momma sorry about your grandpa. Yay for making it past your milestones thoughs! Hopefully sll continues to go well.

@zuuls_mom glad everything is well! But oh my gosh. I cannot believe they made a mistake like that. I feel like some doctors can be so insensitive to how losses make you feel.

@kiddiesandkitties Yay for a healthy heartbeat! I'm an infant loss mom too. It's absolutely terrifying to think about making it to the end and having that happen again. I'm truly very sorry for your loss.

@klpv415 wow, that must be interesting working at a prison!

How far along are you/EDD? 10 weeks, EDD was moved back to 9/13 because baby was measuring a week behind (which makes absolutely no sense based on O date and dates we dtd).

Current mood? Well I've been able to find baby's heartbeat with my fetal doppler since like 8+4, so it feels good having that reassurance that it's still in there alive. But my anxiety is starting to transition over to fear of losing the baby due to my incompetent cervix or worse making it to end and passing along the same virus as last time and re-living the horibble 9 day nightmare that we experienced leading up to the loss of Saylor.

If you haven't already/want to again, please share your loss history, if comfortable. MMC at 9 weeks in January 2017 and an infant loss at 9 days old on 10/5/17.

Any upcoming appointments, milestones, loss anniversaries, EDDs? I have an appointment on Monday. I'm excited to see my little tater tot and am hoping that it's caught up in growth some and isn't still measuring a whole week behind.

    Rants/Raves/Dear Diary?
I left work early today because I have a pounding headache. It sucks, but I'm also kinda excited to be able to lay in bed and watch Netflix for the next few hours.

GTKY: If you could be besties with any fictional character, who would it be? As a kid, I fantasized about being BFF's with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. We'd all get along great.

  • @zuuls_mom I’m so glad you got good news! Although, your experience gahhhh! I would have lost my mind!

@40momma when is your next appointment? Fx for a great one. I am so sorry for your loss.

@kgg2241 I’m in the same boat with the sickness - if one more person suggests ginger, I am going to punch them in the face. I am praying we both feel better soon!!!

@nomangos23 I hope anxiety starts to wane a little for you. It can be such a beast to tackle- between hormones and pgal brain, it’s not easy.

@flowerintherain are you ok?! I am so sorry to hear about the accident. Did everything check out ok and are you feeling any after effects? I hope not and that you and baby (and anyone else involved) walked away from it. I am praying for a fantastic appointment for you and tater tot on Monday. Sending all the good vibes.

@eller-2 I am waiting for nipt results as well and I am VERY nervous! I posted on ama thread looking for others who are getting results back next week. I am so insane I actually called Natera to figure out the timing 🤦🏽‍♀️

    EDD: Sept 12, 10 w 3 days

current mood: mildly nauseous (thank god for diclegis!) and happy

loss history: loss at 6w Jan 2017

upcoming appointments/milestones/loss anniversaries: hearing back re: nipt and hopefully getting a quick u/s next week. (*****TW & TMI: has some bloody mucuous thing going on and it freaked me out TW******). It occurs to me that I’ve literally had an u/s every freaking week this pregnancy- a lot has to do with landing in the er (combination of HG and flu A). Too much crap going on and I feel kind of bad for this bean.

Rant, raves, dear diary. I really can’t stand the bump app. I would bump from work but my employer tracks everything :( Cmon app, get it together. Why can’t I even copy/paste?!

GTKY: I would be BFF with the character Monk (from the show). I love brilliant, quirky people. Possibly, Larry David from Curb your Enthusiasm- but I guess he’s not fictional :/ at least not 100%

  • @rms924 oh my gosh! You poor thing! Influenza A and HG!? That’s terrible! Hope you get to feeling better fast!
  • @rms924 Yikes. I am so sorry you've been so sick. I can't imagine having HG and the flu. You are a strong strong person.

AFM, I am really struggling today. I had my first OB appointment (after being released from my RE) on Friday. The appointment went fine. They did do a scan for me and baby looked just fine. But instead of making me feel better, it is like it amped my anxiety up. To make it worse my symptoms have basically disappeared. I have been 100% back to normal this weekend.  How can you go from barely surviving to just fine in only a few days? I have been weepy all morning because I feel like it is going to happen all over again. Last time my symptoms disappeared everyone told me it was normal and I went three weeks thinking everything was fine. This is just so hard. Thanks for listening ladies... unfortunately I know you can all relate.
  • Hey @kgg2241, I totally get what you mean with the symptoms. It's so hard. You want all the MS to go away and such, but then once it does you're like WAAIIITTTT! COME BAACK! Give me that reassurance for a quick second!!! Was your OB understanding knowing your history? You could always ask for another appointment this week if it would help calm your nerves!
    Pregnancy Ticker

  • @kgg2241 I’m so sorry-those feelings are so valid, especially with your history. It’s a really great sign that the baby was well at your last appointment. And I’ve heard of symptoms coming and going and coming and going some more. You could contact your doctor and say your symptoms went away and it’s got you worried. Do what you need to take care of yourself. First trimester is SO hard!
  • @blitzybee @sunshine2417 thanks ladies. I know I need to get out of my own head and that it is pretty normal for symptoms to fluctuate. I ordered a home doppler today, and if I still feel upset I'll call this week. My OB is understanding, so I'm sure she'll let me come back in if I need to.
  • @kgg2241 sometimes spilling your worries can help too. I have a home Doppler and it’s extremely reassuring, once you find the baby. I found the heartbeat at 9 weeks, but it was faint and on some days I can’t find it again. I usually set a timer for 3-4 minutes, and if I haven’t found it, I walk away and try the next day. Best advice I can give is to watch YouTube videos and kinda study up on some tricks. Feel free to reach out to me if I can be of any help or support!
  • @kgg2241 I totally understand how you’re feeling! The days where you feel “normal” are so anxiety inducing. I hope you start feeling some symptoms soon.

I’m having a bit of a rough day too. H is just kind of being an ass and making me feel bad about everything I say and do. I didn’t feel like cuddling because I just don’t want to be touched right now and he stomped off. So now he’s mad. I’m just so tired and wanted some time to myself. He doesn’t understand that. He also made me feel like a crazy person for wanting to use my Doppler. He thinks it’s too early and there’s no reason to even try. He doesn’t get my anxiety at all. I’m just so frustrated right now so I’m crying on the couch after rage cleaning the kitchen.

  • UGH @zuuls_mom I am SOO with you! I don’t know what it is with me but I hate being touched in the early weeks of pg and H makes me feel like a complete ass about it. He gives me the nonstop pity party and the ‘I wish you just loved me’ and insists I’m the only pregnant person on earth who isn’t all snuggly and lovey in first tri. I honestly wish I was so we could just be on better terms all the time.
  • @flowerintherain how scary!! Thankful you are all OK. I worry so much about car accidents pregnant.

I’m so sorry to hear you are a fellow infant loss mom, but glad to know I’m not alone in this group. Happy to have you here with me! <3
  • @blitzybee thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. I'll probably bug you when it gers here in a few days :).

@zuuls_mom @kiddiesandkittiesomg I am in the same boat. I don't want to be touched or cuddled right now either. DH actually said that it isn't fair because my affection needs are being met by growing a baby... Okay whatever 🙄.
  • @zuuls_mom @kiddiesandkitties @kgg2241

same boat here with the husband! I’ve been pregnant enough times that my husband has learned that I’m a prickly cactus in my first trimester. I’ll offer him a back rub when I’m up to it, and that’s about it! He has said all of the same things as your husbands in previous times! And it’s kind of like okay, I’m carrying your baby and this is hard, so sorry, but leave me alone! Husbands act pregnant, too. I swear they get hormones worse sometimes! I’m planning a special night out in March when I know I’ll be feeling better, so hopefully that’ll help!

@kgg2241 ask away if you have questions when you get the Doppler! I’ve had my fair share of frustrations and absolute happiness with that thing!

Current mood? pretty good, I had a ton of symptoms over the weekend (it seems like weekends have been symptom-free for me the past few weeks and it causes me to worry a lot, but NOT this weekend!). I also have sort of "popped" (3rd kid, lol), and it's darn near impossible to hide. I plan to tell work after my appointment tomorrow, if everything goes well. I wanted to wait until after I got the NIPT results (about another week or so), but I honestly can't hide it now, and another week will be worse...

If you haven't already/want to again, please share your loss history, if comfortable. 3 early m/cs (~5 weeks) between my first and second daughters. Had lots of testing, no cause determined, all I can think of is something to do with my autoimmune disease (RA), which was very much uncontrolled at that time I was going through all that (the stress didn't help at all).

Any upcoming appointments, milestones, loss anniversaries, EDDs? My first full OB appointment TOMORROW (finally!). My only concern (other than just finding the HB and all that in general) is that it's with the PA instead of my regular doctor, and I don't have that relationship and trust built with her yet. I feel like I can talk to my doctor about my pregnancy anxiety bc of my loss history and he would move mountains to alleviate that, even if it meant an unscheduled u/s in the radiology department. I just don't get the feeling that the PA would do the same, but we will see! Hopefully it is a non-issue and she can find the HB with the doppler.

Rants/Raves/Dear Diary? This is totally not pregnancy-related, but our neighbor parks his work van in front of our house every dang day, and I'm sick of it! There's nothing illegal about it, but I just feel like it's rude...park in your own driveway, clean out your garage so you can actually park your vehicles in your garage (novel idea). I am just so tired of having my front of my house cluttered with a plumbing van and it blocking my line of sight every time I back out of my driveway. (He can't park in front of his own house because you can only park on one side of the street, and they are the opposite side.)

GTKY: If you could be besties with any fictional character, who would it be? Good question...I don't know, right now I'm on a "A Star is Born" kick, so I'd say Ally Maine. :)

  • Ladies - I can totally relate. I am so nauseated that it actually hurts to have clothing against my skin, let alone a human touch. I really thought I was alone on that 😊

@kgg2241 I completely get your anxiety given your experience. I want to order a Doppler too but fear that I’ll be using it nonstop. I have been to the dr basically every week this pregnancy. I felt really bad when someone posted about limiting u/s and that she’s only doing the 20 w scan. My anxiety won’t allow it and then on top of that, I feel guilty for being a bad mom 🙄

i am  so thankful for this group. I just want to say that. Reading your messages makes me feel less alone. I’m struggling too bc of dh. He just doesn’t understand how hard it is to be non stop nauseated and dizzy. He’s used to me being go
go go and he is not very empathatic. Of course, today he has a stomach bug and guess who is running to the store to get chicken noodle soup while also working: this girl.

    first tri completely sucks.

  • How far along are you/EDD? 10 weeks 1 day (excited to finally reach double digits!)

Current mood? Recovering from the stomach bug that wiped me out last week. Am worried about the baby because I wasn't able to eat anything for a few days and could barely keep down sips of water. I keep telling myself that plenty of people have horrid morning sickness and HG and their babies took what they needed from their bodies so a few days of illness all should be fine - but I'll still be paranoid until my next appointment next week.

If you haven't already/want to again, please share your loss history, if comfortable. Miscarriage at 8 1/2 weeks in November 2018.

Any upcoming appointments, milestones, loss anniversaries, EDDs? 12 week appointment (a few days early) next Tuesday, ultrasound appointment at the specialist for the NT scan on 3/4.

Rants/Raves/Dear Diary? I'm over winter & all of these bugs going around. I was knocked out with the stomach bug last week and have now caught congestion/cough on top of it. I need spring & open windows.

GTKY: If you could be besties with any fictional character, who would it be? The Friends cast - they're so fun.

  • Exciting to see everyone on here every week!!

    I am 9 weeks!

So sick and exhausted this time. Maybe it’s that I’m 37? Haha. But hoping it settles down at some point.

    Miscarriage at 5 weeks - 12/20/18

Had a great u/s at 7w4d! Trying to decide if I find a new doc. Stressful but all good.  My midwives are very nonchalant about a complex ovarian cyst I was just diagnosed with, and that coupled with a few other weird things from them this round leads me to believe I’m too high maintenance for midwives ha!

  • @justhereforthemusic Haha, I don't think it's because you're 37. I'm 30 and am WIPED OUT. If you think another doc will better take care of your needs, then I think you should for sure switch. The #1 priority is you and your baby. Peace of mind is SO important right now.

@MsBeachNJ Ugh, not the stomach bug. I literally can not imagine. I'm sure bub is fine, but it might be good to mention to your doc when you visit next week.

@kgg2241 Plus one to the ordering a doppler team. Do you have a good brand reco? I'm 100% with you on having MORE anxiety after your first appt. Like, good lord. Can a girl catch a break? I actually went to acupuncture for it and it helps a LOT.

@jaykay2004 Good luck at your appointment tomorrow
  • @nomangos23 Right!? It is like the stakes are higher now. I asked a while back on another post and most people said the sonoline B fetal doppler. So that is what I ordered.
  • @jaykay2004 your neighbors van would TOOOOOTALLY piss me off too, just out of principle! I’d be obnoxious and try to put something there every day. This is our second kiddo (though technically 6 if we include MCs) and though I’ve lost/maintained weight, my belly just feels the bloat and I feel like everyone at work can tell my wardrobe has changed to match my size. Maybe I’m just hyper-sensitive to it... I want to wait as long as possible to tell them (they’ll be supportive but not necessarily very excited) but I don’t think that’s much longer. Plus my appointment schedule is getting crazy without another explanation.

@kgg2241 and @nomangos23 I have the Sonoline B doppler and love it too! Buy a biiiig thing of the jelly off amazon though! Aloe Vera or the ultrasound gel both work just fine!
