You guys are failing at talking me out of this AWFUL idea. Haha! We just lost our dog in October and we've been enjoying the break from the added responsibility. Plus not having to plan weekend trips around a dog has been really refreshing. But man puppies are so cute!!!

@shamrocandroll you can come borrow our pupper anytime you need a fix. I love him but he's going stir crazy being cooped up in the winter and he's driving me crazy. I'm totally cool with the whole sharing custody thing with MF's ex wife because it means we only have him half the time, but we've had him for over 3 weeks already and still have him until the 24th and I'm about ready for him to go on vacation for a little while...

@shamrocandroll What about being a pupper foster? I have a couple friends that do it! You can set a criteria of what kind of pups you're cool with in your house.
@brookert615 The idea sounds nice, but we definitely do not have the time or setup to do that. Plus my criteria for my next dog is it can't shed like crazy (I'm the only one in my house who seems to care about not having dog fur everywhere, and I refuse to be the only one who vacuums), and I don't think that would be very helpful for fostering. I do volunteer at the local humane society, though!

@shamrocandroll: I'm working on convincing my DH that it's time for a new cat. I have the same mixed feeling you do - I miss the snuggly cat time, and the cat-attitude, but do NOT miss litterbox, spilled glasses of water, or having to board/petsit when we go away. (We also have a geriatric dog - so I'm nervous about subjecting her to a big change)
@lcking82 We lost our cat in December 2017 (rough year for us) and I can definitely say I won't be getting another cat. She was so sweet, but she ruined so many things. We had litter box issues with her and they took forever to resolve, and she also enjoyed shredding our furniture. Plus turns out MH is allergic to cats now. But I love to love on other people's kitties. >^..^<

So I think I deserve a pat on the back, even if I give it to myself. One of my participants brought cookies to class today at the gym. Homemade chocolate chip! I turned them down!!! Well actually I traded and said that if they were kind enough to keep them away from me that I would throw in whatever tracks they wanted next weeks class, lol. If they had actually offered me one I probably would have been screwed.
@nitnat007 Well now I feel bad about myself. Someone brought in five kinds of chocolate chips cookies today and needed them judged to prepare for a baking contest. Not only did I judge, I took two cookies back to my office. 😕 I went on a run this morning, but I don't think that makes it better...
@shamrocandroll Humpy Humphrey wants you to know he’s really good at setting the mood, if you like the Heavy Breathing or Incessant Licking tracks...
@nitnat007 ohhhh you are a stronger woman than I. I’m sitting on the couch debating whether I should go out for McDonald’s or have ubereats deliver it to me.

@nitnat007 That’s awesome you were able to resist!
@ruby696 You’re too cute! I mean you WERE judging them! Don’t be too hard on yourself! If it makes you feel better some girl in my challenge group “accidentally drank 4 bottle of wine” and they weren’t the small bottle lol!
@kiki047 The way you talk about your pup kills me! 😂😂😂
@lcking82 Alison Weir is probably my favorite. Philippa Gregory is another one I love, but her last few novels I didn't love as much as her earlier work. Carolly Erikson and Robin Maxwell are two other authors I enjoy. "The Secret Diary of Marie Antoinette" is really good, I think that's by Carolly Erikson.
@ruby696 I ate a cupcake yesterday before lunch from my boss. We still had 1 left from super bowl night and so after dinner..... I didnt tell DH about the 1 I got at work 🤷♀️
The last few times I was at the grocery store they had these little packages of three mini cupcakes, from cheesecake factory. I have gotten them twice and eaten them all. I had one left the last time and hid it in the back of the fridge so DH wouldn't find it. He found it.. lol.. and made fun of me for my secret cupcakes. They were so good though, now I want a cupcake!
@ruby696 Haha did you test all five kinds? And really you were needed in that situation, so totally understandable.
@kels0091 They are so dang cute. Love how they have already bonded with each other. Enjoy them.
@prpl11butterfly I would have done the same thing. Cupcakes are my jam. I am already planning which ones I want DH to get me for Valentines Day. That will be my cheat day....that may last all weekend. And they will all be mine!
@creamcheeseplease Haha MH knows to stay away from my cupcakes. Other junk food is fair game, but cupcakes.... I don't share those.
I'm lucky in that DH and I have totally different taste when it comes to treats. He loves salty black licorice and savoury things like croissants, and I'm all about the milk chocolate and the wine gums/sour candies!
@brookert615 wait...4 bottles of wine? Like in one sitting?!
Everyone is making me want cupcakes!!!! We never have anything like that in the house because I would be the only one who eats them. DH was apparently dropped on his head as a baby and doesn't like any sweets.
@prpl11butterfly There is a little bakery in town (around the corner from work) that specializes in cupcakes. Obviously have a FB page and post their different flavors every week. Once in a while they do free give aways, for dozens of them. I have been known to suddenly disappear from work to see if I can get there in time lol. So dangerous.
@bakerstreetboys It "used" to be that way in our house. And then suddenly DH decided that he quite enjoyed the sweet treats AND his chips and salsa too. So gets both worlds and I have to fight for my share of the chocolate. Which is why we are now both on a diet...holidays got a little out of control lol.
@b_1029 my DH is the same way, doesn't care for candy and chocolate or cupcakes and cake. Wtf lol how could you not like this stuff??

@b_1029 Yes 4 bottles in one sitting... people were asking a bunch of questions like what size bottles and the time frame because all of us were stumped LOL. How do you accidentally drink that much? I thought I was a beast for being able to drink two bottles in one night .
I'm not a sweets person either so I must've been dropped on my head as well lol. But I grew up in a strict no sugar household so I think the early habits helped!
@nitnat007 Uh, yeah I tested all five kinds-what kind of judge would I be if I didn't?! Although I did just break pieces off the cookies, so I wasn't totally out of control.
@prpl11butterfly MH is out of town this week and tomorrow is my birthday. I told him last night that I planned to buy myself cupcakes on the way home from work. And yes, that's cupcakes plural.
All this delicious sweets talk + my shitty day inspired me to stop by a coffee shop on my way home to get the world's best chocolate chip cookie. I don't regret one bite.
I think 3-6 is a reasonable number. You need extras. What if one drops? Or you get a flavor you don't like (might be impossible..)? Or a neighbor drops by and you need to share? Extra cupcakes are a must.
Ugh, I’m so hungry these last few days and you guys are not helping my already normal sweet tooth!!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
