@MamaK225 You don't have to find one that specializes in it, but it's better to. A lot of massage therapists are trained at least somewhat in prenatal massage, but not all because many states do not require that MTs have a license/certification. For example, in California, certification is voluntary. However, MTs can train specifically in prenatal massage. Those with prenatal massage certification have proven that they have expertise related to the use of massage therapy on pregnant clients. Hope this helps!
People think we become mothers when we give birth but the truth is we become mothers the moment we start calling our babies to us in our thoughts, dreams and prayers. Some paths are short and some are so long that you can easily forget where you were headed.

@WinchesterGirl Girrrrrrl, come to California. We are going to eat sushi! My really old school Dad who ate nothing but pasta, meat, and potatoes his entire life loved it even though he insisted for years that he would never try it.
Never have I ever been to Europe.

@MamaK225 I was an RMT before I had DD and I took courses for prenatal massage. It's honestly not that different then regular massage. With a few extra contraindications (no massage if you have high blood pressure and no deep pressure or heat on the lower back are the main ones). Just mention you are pregnant and looking for prenatal massage and ask if they have pregnancy pillows or table when you are making your Appointment. If you are concerned wait until your second trimester, but you should be fine.
